I really enjoyed this Beverly Lewis book.
The relationship between Liz and Matthew was very special.
Also loved how the community came together to welcome
the Englishers.
Looking forward to this author's next book.

I received a free copy of, The Christmas House, by Beverly Lewis, from the publisher and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. Liz Lantz has a brisk business, giving tours in her Amish town. Beverly Lewis, has a special way with words, especially Amish ones. This is a great story about family, neighbors, work, Amish people, English people. and much more, a delightful holiday read.

I haven't read a book by the author in several years and I was thrilled to see a new Christmas novella releasing by her this Fall.
The writing was just as I expected, faith filled, fun, and a little romance.
This is Liz Lantz's story. Liz Lantz gives the Englishers buggy tours in her Lancaster Amish community all the while spreading God's word while doing so. So, when her father and brother are unexpectedly called away right during the peak Christmas busy season Liz is worried her business will have to be put on hold. What she doesn't expect is her father to arrange for a handsome Amish man to go with her as she gives the buggy tours as her brother's replacement.
Such a beautiful story full of kindness, gentle reminders and it will leave you feeling happy and full of good Christmas cheer.
I was given a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions expressed are my own.

“Good things take time to grow.” – Ella Mae Zook
The Christmas House combines everything you love about Beverly Lewis novels into one compact yet satisfying package. Returning to Hickory Hollow for a sweet romance and Ella Mae’s wisdom, all centered on Christmas, is just as good as it gets. Liz and Matt’s relationship develops quickly but does not feel forced or rushed. I was thrilled to see the return of Ella Mae. She is one of my favorite literary characters. Don’t we all need a Wise Woman in our lives? And yet we can also ask God to give us wisdom to help others. Through it all is the reminder to celebrate the birth of Jesus, the light of the world, and to be kind to others because of His kindness toward us. A truly wonderful story that will prepare your heart for the true meaning of Christmas any time of year.

I love any and all books by this author. I was so very happy to see this one! It was great and I was very happy to see my favorite character Ella Zook the Wise Woman.
I couldn't put Liz's story down! She's a wonderful woman and I think wise beyond her years also. She's what you'd call an old soul. I loved in getting to know her and her family very much.
I enjoyed in getting to know Matt too. I was hoping that Liz would open her heart to him. I was rooting for them all the way!!!
Christmas stories always make me happy no matter the time of year. I so didn't want this one to end.
It was a great read and fun one too! Left my heart feeling full and satisfied.
5 stars from me for a job well done! I highly recommend

THE CHRISTMAS HOUSE by Beverly Lewis is an uplifting and inspiring holiday read filled with all the heart and love that I’ve come to expect from an Amish romance.
In this book we meet Liz and Matt. Two people brought together by well meaning family who through mindful communication and good deeds find the spirit of the holidays in each other and ultimately love and understanding. Although a novella, this proved to be a thoroughly satisfying read from start to finish. I enjoyed it very much and look forward to reading more by this author.
I’m giving THE CHRISTMAS HOUSE the judy.ann.loves.books stamp of approval, TBR and Enjoy!

What a great read. I do love a good Amish story. Liz and Matt didn't start out as a romantic duo but ended up that way. Together they brought their community together and helped an Englisher family for the holidays. Very welcoming story.

If you are looking to get into the holiday spirit a little early this year this os the novella for you! Not only that it is a beloved Amish story from one of the best amish fiction writers of all time. It has been a while since I read amish fiction but reading this made me adore amish fiction and had me begging for more. Now out main focus on the is a young amish woman named Liz who is looking forward to the holidays with her giving tours to the outside world. Well her brother and father have to go out on a trip and her father hires a young man named Matt to help out. With all the busy times that Christmas brings will Liz have the courage to open her heart to Matt.
I received an arc copy from Netgalley and all opinions are of my own.
