Seriously one of the best stories I’ve ever read. Plus there’s the added bonus that it’s practically 3 stories in 1.
One of the reasons why I loved this story so much was because I seriously could not predict a single aspect of this story. I was in a perpetual state of shock and thought I was losing my mind. I am usually someone who can easily predict what is going to happen in a story, but the author literally put her thang down, flipped it, and reversed it so many times that I gave up trying to predict anything pretty early on in the story(ies?).
Then, just when you think you’re getting an epic gothic romance, you find out that you are also getting an epic southern romance. THEN, you also get an epic Roman romance that actually isn’t just a Roman romance and yet again your mind is blown. I am pretty sure this story knocks through every romance trope that matters and satisfies any mood your little heart desires.
The character development, the mystery, the romance, I loved it all! I cannot recommend this story enough.
Thank you NetGalley for this opportunity!

Okay, hear me out….
This was weird.
But like, in a fantastic way.
I was confused and excited throughout this thicc read.
So many times, I feel like I’d figured something out, only to turn the page and have no idea what was going to happen.
Such a unique read and I could not put it down.
On my second read through, I noticed SO many more Easter eggs and little bits that made the story 10x better!

If you love dark gothic romance, then this book is for you! The fantasy/paranormal aspects of this book were personally my favorite and made me enjoy the book so much. I absolutely love the characters inn this book. The layers that this book has are insane. You can't skim anything when reading Fairydale or you might miss something important. Such a fantastic book.

I don't even know where to start with this one, so I'll start with WOW.
I loved it and I'm so glad that it was picked up for trad publishing,

Thank you Atria for this advanced rereleased copy. And Veronica Lancet for this story!
The amazing:
Amon is top tier book boyfriend. Forever. I love him. In every timeline.
The vibes in Fairydale were EVERYTHING. Spooky, cooky, gothic, dark weirdness.
The time travel was so cool. I loved all the various stories.
Never let them know your next move. The twists were great! Unlike anything I've ever read.
The less amazing:
She's thicc. And I'm not sure all of it needed to be there.
The ending was a shock. We merged into monster territory, which I wasn't expecting. I wasn't mad about it, but I wasn't expecting it at the very end.
Overall this is a super fun read, with dark themes and a great love story. It's uniqueness will stick with you for a long, long time.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 INFINITY STARS 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
I read and just finished this on KU before I saw I was approved for this so while everything is fresh in my head, I’m going to GUSH.
Fairydale is hands-down my FAVORITE read of the year — nothing else even compares! This book had me audibly gasping, screaming, crying, and nearly flinging my Kindle across the room. Very rarely do books physically shock me or pull that much raw emotion out of me while reading, but this one?? It grabbed me by the throat and didn’t let go. If I had amnesia I would want to read this again for the first time!
It’s a perfect storm of horror, romance, fantasy, and historical — a true historical horomantasy if you will! 👻✨ There are THREE timelines, and each one feels like peeling back more layers of an emotional onion: the deeper you go, the more it wrecks you in the best way. Witches, ghosts, demons, longing, betrayal, love — it’s all here, and it’s glorious.
And Amon… MY AMON!! 💀❤️ Faithful for over 1000 years?! Are you KIDDING me?! SWOON. He’s dark, possessive, obsessive, and every word that comes out of his mouth is pure poetry. Every time I think of him, I just want to queue up “Will You Fall In Love With Me Again?” from Epic the Musical because you cannot tell me that’s not their song! 🎶🔥
The end honestly felt like there was an entire novella hidden inside the book towards the end, but I didn’t even care — it was PHENOMENAL. If you want a book that will leave you wrecked, sobbing, and desperate questions “what did I just read?!”, Fairydale is it. An absolute masterpiece. 🌹✨

This book took awhile for me to get into but I the pay off was insane and im so glad that I stuck it out. One of my favorite books and gave very sanderlache payoff. I was unwell and dying of need to know the entire read through

This was so exciting to receive, I read the indie version and fell in love. I loved this book, one of my god tier books! I am so excited to get my hands on a physical copy! I highly recommend this for fantasy lovers who love a good romance in there as well!

Veronica Lancet’s FAIRYDALE grips you from the very first page. Highly entertaining and beautifully written.

This book had me hooked for most of it. By the end I was ready for it to be over though and think maybe 200 pages less would have made this a 4.5 or 5 read star for me. It was hard to go from 0 to 100 in spice.
My only plot hole was with Caleb. Darcy is new to town and spoke about Caleb to his own family. The way the story ends would place him in that situation the whole time. Seems unlikely that none of his family would have any questions for Darcy.
