I really enjoyed listening to this audiobook. The narrators were great and I think their accents really contributed me in making it feel real for me.
The story was very well written, I loved that it was stretched over 2 years. I loved the banter and the spice between the main characters. I also liked the relationship between the FMC and her best friend.
I think the story was emotional and beautiful and dealt with some very real issues.
I really recommend this audiobook if you’re into contemporary, fast paced and spicy romance, I enjoyed it!!

Can I have my very on Klaus Puh—lease?
This book folloews Natalia Evans and Klaus Franke, who are from two completely different worlds. Their dynamic was electric from the start (ifykyk). Max Raunch and Cecily Foster amazingly narrated these characters to keep the readers invested in the story and even bringing them to life. Their voices were a pleasure to listen to, making the audiobook experience of this book even better. There is spice and tension, everyones favorite themes. While also having tropes, such as one-night stands, age gaps (10 years), unresolved trauma, and more. I have never listened too or read a book like this before and needless to say I did enjoy it.
That said, the premise of this book is interesting and has true potential, the pacing had threw me off, it either went full speed ahead or super slow. I understand the time jumps but at one point it just seemed very repetitive. These two characters have so much background you know how past issues can lead to certain choices, which is nice, but the constant indecisiveness on both ends made it tough to fully stay interested in their story.
Thank you NetGalley and Hachette Audio | Forever for the ARC.

Unfortunately this didn't work for me bc it included several tropes that aren't my favorite: Insta-lust/one-night stand, and when the third-act breakup happens I was actively mad at the MMC enough that I didn't get over it.
There were also a few things that came up in the spicy scenes that were yellow flags I'd call it "dom/sub lite", but it wasn't a discussion beforehand and all of a sudden there's spanking happening? I'm not against kink at all, but I do believe it needs to be discussed before being in the moment for all parties to be safe.
Audio: why does the MMC have a British accent when he's Austrian and the FMC does the correct accent? FMC narrator was fine tho.

This book had me hooked! The cover is beautiful, the spice was hot, and the characters were toxic! The narrators did a fantastic job and really made the book for me. I don’t know anything about F1 and I just recently got into sports romance but I liked that this is sport adjacent with neither of our main characters being in the sport. If you are looking for a spicy sports romance with some emotional baggage and toxicity definitely pick this one up!

A fun, spicy listen set in the adrenaline-fueled world of Formula 1, Coming in Hot offers high stakes, sizzling chemistry, and a fast-paced romance between a driven journalist and a brooding team principal. The audiobook narration was well done and added to the tension and heat between Natalia and Klaus, great pacing and distinct voices made it easy to stay immersed in their story.
While the setting and premise were strong, a few of the tropes didn’t quite hit for me in execution, and I found some character choices hard to connect with. Still, fans of sports romance, especially those who enjoy Drive to Survive, will find this an entertaining and steamy escape.
Thank you to Forever Publishing and NetGalley for the ALC!

Josie Juniper you gave us what you teased in Double Apex, and we are here for it!!! We loved Natalia in book 1, and loved getting to know her and Klaus!!! This story is juicy and boy oh boy, what a read, it was both fun and a little heavy, but perfect all together!! We felt their tension, we felt their own inner issues and how they come together to support one each other. I love how they fell for each other, and worked!! 5 Stars we love love this book and this series!

This follows Natalia, who lands a job as a journalist in Formula 1 with Auto Racing. One night, she visits a longtime friend who also works in the industry. After a few drinks at the bar while waiting, she meets an older, handsome gentleman and they hit it off. But things take a turn for the worse when she goes to leave. What happens when she later realises he’s the team principal of an F1 team?
As a fan of F1, I really enjoyed this story. While it’s classified as a sports romance, I loved that it focused on characters in the industry who aren’t drivers but still play key roles. The dynamic between a journalist and a team principal added depth—especially with the workplace tension, trust issues, and the need for honesty in their relationship. I really enjoyed their connection and the overall storyline.
And I have to mention the spicy scenes—one in particular had me screaming. The necklace scene and the hairbrush? Brilliant. The audiobook is also fantastic, and I highly recommend experiencing it in that format. Looking forward to more of Josie;s work in the future.

This book had so much potential to be a great story, I enjoyed reading it but decided to give it 4 stars because the main characters, Natalia and Klaus spent most of the book going back and forth denying their feelings for one another and normally I enjoy that, but in this story, it was frustrating to me.
Natalia is a reporter, and Klaus is a F1 driver. A one- night stand leaves them in a back-and-forth dance going from extremely spicy chemistry to going back to be strangers again.
Lots of time jumps, surprise pregnancy but a happy ever after.
My favorite quote of the book: "Tell me what you want, stop forcing me to guess, then punishing me when I get it wrong."
I understand both characters overcoming trauma resulting in denying their relationship, but I feel like they just frustrated me so bad that I wanted to knock their heads together.
I completed this book though in under 2 days so as much as they made me angry, I apparently loved it!
Thank you so much to @netgalley and @hachetteaudio for this ARC!

I'm not sure if F1 romance is my thing after reading HOWEVER my reasons for disliking this book actually had nothing to do with that aspect of it.
For starters, the tropes. I know this is personal preference, but I hate when spicy books start off with a one night stand because it takes all of the tension away. I don't necessarily need a slow burn (meaning, I don't mind if spice starts early on in the story) but most of the time I find the chemistry between the characters to not be off the charts when they've already had sex in the first 1 or 2 chapters. They also have an age gap, which I typically love but mostly felt a little annoyed by in this case because neither their internal dialogue nor their actions felt realistic for two people in their mid thirties/mid forties. There is also another trope that was spoiled for me (I won't mention it here) but it might just be my least favorite trope of all time and now I'm honestly just thankful I won't have to sit through it.
Another thing I really did not enjoy in this story was the way that Natalia and Phaedra's friendship was handled. Perhaps there is resolution and growth in that regard (I'm hoping, at least) by the end of the book, but it just really soured my opinion of Nat when most of her thoughts about her supposed closest friend were extremely negative and toxic. I'm not saying that Phaedra was perfect by any means, but I just value in romance stories when we see strong platonic and/or familial relationships outside of the main couple and this was not delivering on that front at all. I found it to be odd considering the book is an interconnected standalone with Phaedra being the FMC in book 1. Part of the appeal with series of that nature is getting a found family to root for and I'm not sure how that could be possible when these girls don't really seem to like each other.
My final and main complaint about this book was the time jumping. I love the concept in theory of each chapter being in a new city, but the result was a lot of telling and not showing when it comes to the plot. It was very difficult to believe in Nat and Klaus when most of their moments were just boiled down to recaps after each "two weeks later" or "six months later." This led to the book feeling flat and more like an outline than a fully fleshed story.
I do have to say that both narrators of this audiobook were wonderful and I would gladly listen to more of their work. It was just the story itself that didn't work for me.

My goodness, I loved this book! The MCs have sooo many speed bumps on their way to being together (driving pun not intentional), but that all just makes their relationship that much stronger. And it is all so satisfying. As far as narration, I only have one nitpick - the Austrian accent. I didn’t feel the accent matched between narrators. I felt that his was much softer (a native speaker?), whereas hers was more stereotypical German sounding. I feel bad criticizing because it’s not like I could perform as amazingly as the narrators, but I wanted to point it out.

As a big F1 fan, I was really excited to read this book! I liked that the male lead was a team principal - that definitely set this apart from other F1 romances I've read. And I had fun imagining who that character might have been based on! The behind the scenes of racing aspect was so interesting, but I had a hard time getting invested in the romance and subplots amongst the characters. I had to DNF at around 45%, I don't think it was for me but others may love it! I will say I really enjoyed both narrators in this audiobook. Thank you Netgalley!

Thank you HachetteAudio and NetGalley for the audiobook arc!
I would give this book 3 ⭐️. While it was entertaining at times and definitely spicey I felt like it somewhat lacked true depth in the relationship. This could be said about the FMCs family members and best friend as well. Everyone had a very surface level relationship. While, it closed with a trope that is not typically my favorite I did find the ending to be sweet and like their story was closed.
As for the narration, I felt like both of the narrators fit the characters well and made it an enjoyable listen.

From the first sentence I know I was not going to be a fan of this audiobook. I do not want to be hateful but I was just not a fan of these voices. I liked Cecily’s voice fine but I do not think it matched the character well. Her country accent was good! I think she was just too monotone for me. Max had extreme inconsistencies with the accents. It was supposed to be Austrian but I heard everything from Aussie, UK, Irish, and sometimes just none. He did have more inflection but not enough.
I wanted to like this book because I love F1 but it fell flat for another of reasons. It set women back in F1 by decades, even though it clearly tried not to. The storyline was chaotic and she could not pick a struggle - every trope was in this book and it did not make sense. The books skips key character development moments; for example, the book skips months at a time and mentions drama between friends. Don’t tell me - explain it to me! Write it down! The book also go weirdly super feminist at the end and as a bad feminist I took issue with the way it was framed. It made the main character seem unlikeable and ignorant. Overall, the story made no sense and was all over the place.

This was fairly enjoyable and entertaining. I found the story easy to follow, but I was a little confused by the time jumps and they felt a little disjointed. I’m not sure they served any purpose. I would have liked to see more interactions between our two MCs. It didn’t feel like instalove, but I also don’t know if I completely buy into their relationship. If you are interested in F1, this story may very well appeal to you. I will say the audiobook was great and the two narrators did a fab job!
Thank you netgalley and Forever for the ALC!!

This spicy F1 romance had a lot of potential but unfortunately, the execution didn’t quite deliver for me.
Let’s start with the good: the dual POV was a strong choice. Getting into both Natalia’s and Klaus’s heads added depth and tension, and the audiobook narrators absolutely nailed their performances. Seriously, if you're going to read this, I’d recommend the audio version for that reason alone.
But that’s where most of my connection to the story stopped. Natalia, for all her professional success, came off as immature and often toxic. Her comment about her best friend being "hard to love" rubbed me the wrong way. If that's how you talk about your best friend, is she really your best friend? And don’t even get me started on Phaedra.
Then there’s Klaus. I wanted to root for him but giving Natalia money after their first night together? Huge red flag. Immediate no. It made it hard to root for the relationship when the foundation felt so awkward and transactional.
Also, for a book pitched as an F1 romance, there really wasn’t enough Formula 1. The setting could’ve added so much more thrill and atmosphere but ended up feeling more like background piece.
In the end, this book had a few things going for it (age gap, dual POV, stellar narration), but the characters’ emotional immaturity and lack of genuine chemistry left me feeling disappointed.

I really enjoyed this audiobook. The narration was superb. The characters were well written and multi dimensional. I will definitely look for more books written by this author.

This is a very fun and sexy F1 romance. I enjoyed the plot, how the characters' relationships progressed, and that it was between a CEO and a journalist (very fun).

To be honest, this Audiobook was ok, the narrators Max Rauch and Cecily Foster did a great job! 👏 I loved that they both had great accents to do the reading of the characters especially Klaus being Austrian and well speaking a few languages because of his Job especially being a principal part owner and Natalia being from the states but also speaking a bit of languages was great to hear in the narrator. And well the ending last chapters were my favorite chapters since it is one of my favorite tropes(sorry won't spoil it) 😆😉
Thank you Hatchette Audio and Netgalley for the advance listening audio.

Rating: 4.25⭐️
team principal for an f1 team, rides a motorcycle, is a silver fox, and is down bad? i’m locked tf in.
the audio was fun, the narrators were great, there were some parts that were too cheesy which knocked it back a couple points for me BUT it was fun and a really great time overall!!!

First I want to start by saying thank you for the ALC for this book.
So this book title is definitely a good title as it came in hot with spice in the first 5 minutes of the book.
When I started this book I really thought I was going to enjoy it however the further I got into it the more I disliked it. I enjoyed the MMC, Klaus but the FMC, Natalia? I was so annoyed with her the ENTIRE book. She was childish and whinny throughout. Like did she even like Klaus? It was just back and fourth the whole book and I just wasn’t here for it. If it wasn’t for the narrators doing a great job I probably would’ve DNFed it half way through
