A fun easy read ! Loved the narrator and felt she added so much to the story. I couldn’t picture anyone besides Hannah as the FMC though, felt like I was actually learning her story even though it was fiction.

The Four Engagement Rings of Sybil Rain: After an ended engagement, Sybil takes the all expense pain vacation to a tropical destination thinking it will be relaxing and reviving. But when she sees Jamie, her ex-fiancée there, she quite literally has no words. He’s on a work trip with a stunning “colleague” Sybil is trying to save face & tells them she is here with her boyfriend, even though she is still single. Sybil calls on Sebastian, one of her other failed engagements to saved the day. Will this be a time to heal after all of her failed engagements? Tropes: Runaway bride, forced proximity, second chance, fake dating, personal growth.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ overall for both books! I love Hannah Brown on the Bachelor/Bachelorette so when I saw she was writing another book, I knew I had to read it.

Thank you @netgalley @readforeverpub @grandcentralpub @hachetteaudio for the eARC/ALC of this amazing new book!

I got to immerse read The Four Engagements Rings of Sybil Rain by Hannah Brown whichwas delightful. The story follows Sybil Rain as she takes the honeymoon trip to Hawaii that she never took with her ex-fiancé Jamie, who dumped her at the altar after she abandoned their wedding weekend. Sybil runs into Jamie who is there with his gorgeous coworker and to save face, she lies and says she is there with her boyfriend. However, it is clear that they still have unresolved feelings and when the complication of another ex-fiancé (Seb) showing up, then things become actually kind of hilarious.

What did I like? I liked a lot about this book. I thought the concept was very creative. It was surprisingly well written, I will admit that I was assuming it would be more in-line with other reality stars' writing but I thought it was good. Now about the story, my favorite thing was the female friendships, I thought the girlhood themes were so sweet. I also really liked Jamie, he's iconic and beyond reproach. Honestly he did nothing wrong. I can see why he left her. Also I know I'm not even supposed to like him like that but I really liked Seb and hope we get his story soon. I also really liked Sybil's growth from the flashbacks because she used to be flighty and bad at communicating which is a bad combo in my opinion.

What didn't I like? I don't like dual timelines, so I wished that the flashback scenes were shorter. Also as I mentioned, I did immersive reading which allowed me to listen to the book. I did not like the narrator. I think the audiobook might have benefitted from a duet because the male voices were not great in my opinion.

I recommend this book to anyone who wants a dramatic second-chance romance. I read it without reading the first in the series so I think it would be perfectly fine to be read independently of the series order. I do not recommend this book to anyone looking for something really serious, this might not be for you. Overall I do recommend this book.

Thank you to NetGalley, Hachette Audio | Forever, and Hannah Brown for giving me the opportunity to listen to this book in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

This was very underwhelming. When I requested it I had not started the first book yet. The only reason I listened to it is because I already had it on my shelf. Just a basic novel. Much better out there in this genre.

Thanks to NetGalley and Forever Publishing for my audio ARC in exchange for my honest review. This book is available now.

I found runaway bride Sybil to be quite annoying and her lies a bit tiresome. It was a quick read but that’s about it. Sybil is using her honeymoon vouchers before they expire and meets up with all her ex-finances who she abandoned at the alter on the island.

I had never heard of Hannah Brown. Might be best for fan of hers from The Bachelor or Dancing with the Stars.

The Four Engagement Rings of Sybil Rain by Hannah Brown offers a compelling mix of humor, heart, and tropical escapism. The story follows Sybil as she navigates the fallout from three broken engagements while using a honeymoon trip meant for her first fiancé to reclaim some joy and self-discovery. The tension created by the unexpected reunion with Jamie, her ex who broke her heart at the altar, and the arrival of Sebastian, her second fiancé, drives the narrative in a way that feels both entertaining and emotionally grounded.
Brown’s writing captures the complexities of moving on and healing from past relationships without losing a lighthearted tone. The vivid Hawaiian setting enhances the story’s sense of renewal and fresh starts. Sybil’s character is relatable and well-drawn, with a journey that balances vulnerability and strength. This book will resonate with readers looking for a smart, feel-good romance with depth and humor, making it a strong addition to contemporary romance collections.

The Four Engagement Rings of Sybil Rain by Hannah Brown and narrated by Cherami Leigh hit all the marks for me. I enjoyed the first book and was surprised to learn of a sequel.

I flew through this audio, not wanting to pause for any interruption.

Hannah tells Sybil's story, past and present, in a way that flows naturally and doesn't seem jumpy. I think a lot of people will relate to one or more of Sybil's experiences. Five stars. I just wish I could have read it on a beach.

My favorite thing about this was that Sybil and Willow call each other Bill - I loved that point and thought it hilarious and also so indicative of friendship. And that truly was the best thing about this book, the friendship that Sybil has with her inner circle. As a partner, I found her a bit annoying and no offense to her, found myself asking what she was even bringing to the relationships in the first place. Many moments describe her as "bright and life of the party" (not those exact words, but sentiment) but I just didn't see it and that ultimately colored the book for me. One bright note - the narrator of the audiobook was fantastic and I would for sure listen to her again.

I loved this book. I really enjoyed the authors first novel, so I was both excited and worried about this one but it did not disappoint! I found this so relatable and truly devoured this book. Highly, highly recommend.

Thank you NetGalley for the eARC.

I thought this was a pretty good romance! I really loved the FMC’s representation of having PCOS, possible infertility and miscarriages. I think it can be a sensitive topic for some, but I can relate with those things very closely so it was cool to me to be able to read about a main character dealing with the same real life issues. I liked that foul language was minimal and that it wasn’t super spicy by any means. It was a very sweet romance.

Listening to this on audio, the narrator was not my favorite. Her voice sounded a bit immature and so it made it feel like the FMC was a lot younger than she actually is written to be. I feel this would’ve been better with a warmer toned narrator. Not so staccato and perky. And I liked the romance, but I don’t feel like I necessarily felt angst and true love with the main characters. Overall though, it was a good book!

Trigger Warnings: miscarriage, infertility, emotional abuse, grief, gaslighting

This is my second book by former Bachelorette and Author Hannah Brown. Her books are ones that are bingeable by the pool, a dreamy setting, characters with depth and overall, a fun summer romance.

You don't have to read the first book before reading The Four Engagement Rings of Sybil Rain but it does help a bit to get the backstory. I loved the book at the beginning but during the middle/end, it got a bit wild and unrealistic. It did feel like a rom com movie and the narrator was great.

Here's the brief synopsis: Runaway bride, vacation in Hawaii and three ex-fiancés crash the scene. This book was a wild ride and it wasn't necessarily about choosing an ex but rather finding herself and what she truly wanted along the way.

I find Hannah Brown's books entertaining and an escapist book but not super memorable.

Read this book if you like:
-Second-Chance Romance
-Fake Dating
- Ex-Fiancé Fiasco
- Forced Proximity
-Self-Discovery & Healing
- Resort/Vacation Romance

Whereas book one was just infuriatingly abnoxious (see that review for my highly grumpy review) this book just had nothing going on. And I would like to note I came into this book knowing I didn’t like book one, but giving HB a second chance. But it just had nothing going on.

We ending MWNM NOT knowing if Sybil got married. Well she didn’t. And she and her fiancée eventually break up. This book picks up a year later and Sybil using her honeymoon travel credit to go on her honeymoon. Where she runs into her ex-fiance…and pretends to be dating an unknown man. You’d think this would become cute and quirky with a fake partner and a second chance romance. Well It does. But that doesn’t start until like 60% at which point I was just ready for the book to be over.

The random kinda-love triangle didn’t mesh well into the story, and I hardly believe this was a romance novel. There’s one spicy scene and the fastest return to a relationship. It read way more like chick lit.

Cherami Leigh did a good job narrating this book. Her voice fit well for Sybil.

Thank you Hachette Audio for an ALC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

★★★★☆

The Four Engagement Rings of Sybil Rain is a fun, heartfelt, and slightly chaotic romantic adventure that perfectly reflects Hannah Brown’s vibrant personality. As someone who loved her season of The Bachelorette, I was excited to dive into her fiction—and she absolutely delivers a story full of charm, humor, and emotional depth.

The audiobook narration by Cherami Leigh is a standout. She brings Sybil to life with warmth and wit, capturing both the comedic timing and the more vulnerable moments with ease. Leigh’s performance adds a layer of relatability to Sybil’s journey through love, heartbreak, and self-discovery.

The story itself is a whirlwind of engagements, missteps, and personal growth, with Sybil navigating the highs and lows of modern romance. What makes it shine is the heart at its center—there’s a genuine message about learning to love yourself and finding clarity in the chaos.

If you enjoy rom-coms with a touch of drama and a strong, quirky heroine, this audiobook is a great pick. Hannah Brown’s storytelling is just as engaging as her on-screen presence, and Cherami Leigh’s narration makes it a joy to listen to.

This was such a sweet story!! I absolutely loved Sybil and the way she was always herself and kind to others, but also working through the insecurities of her past. The chemistry between her and Jamie was soo good, and I loved their second chance romance! And the audiobook was fantastic!

The Four Engagement Rings of Sybil Rain
Author: Hannah Brown

Thank you Netgalley and Hachette Audio for my copy of this audiobook! Sybil’s friends basically force her into going on a solo vacation to Hawaii in the aftermath of the end of her engagement. A year has passed since her and her ex Jeremy broke things off but her friends think she has not been able to get out of her depressed funk. Of course she ends up taking the trip, and who is the first person she runs into? Jeremy. She ends up making up a story about being on vacation with her new boyfriend, which turns into disaster as it becomes blatantly obvious she’s not with anyone. Until she runs into the third of her previous four engagements, Sebastian. Will he help her, or rat her out? This book was super funny, and I think if you are familiar with my reviews you know I LOVE destination/vacation books. They really make me feel like I’m on vacation myself when I’m reading them. Also being from Hawaii, and missing home, this was perfect for me. The only criticism I have is that I was NOT rooting for the MC the entire book, and I am not happy with who she ends up with. My girl deserves better just saying. Anyways, I actually enjoy Hannah’s books more than I enjoy watching her on tv. So keep up the great work Hannah!

I didn't realize Hannah Brown had pivoted to writing novels, but was happy to get my hands on an ARC. Voicey and fun! A nice easy read with heart.

This fun rom com follows Sybil Rain as she takes a leap of faith and goes on the trip that was meant to be her honeymoon just a year earlier, only to run into not only the ex fiancé who would’ve joined her, but another ex fiancé, too! Sybil is still learning who she is and why everything fell apart, but she’s trying to decipher what her future could be while she’s surrounded by possible second chances and hope!

This story is a fun one if you like second chance romance, quirky characters with genuine flaws, and opportunities to laugh at other people’s hiccups and mistakes! Although sometimes lacking realistic elements, the plot was creative and the characters were fun.

I think I actually liked this second book better than the first. The characters felt deeper and real. The setting was beautiful and picturesque and a great summer read locale. It was romancey and more enemies to lovers, second chance at love, fake boyfriend tropes all rolled together. The narrator was great for the audiobook. While there were definite topics that popped up that I did not expect or see coming that sometimes (personally) deserve trigger warnings, I was able to get past those plot points. Overall a definite enjoyable read and you didn’t have to read the first to enjoy this one!

After having read Mistakes We Never Made, The Four Engagement Rings of Sybil Rain definitely exceeded my expectations! This felt more whole than the first book and although pace was similar, it worked better in this one. I didn’t love that like the first book, this one relies heavily on miscommunications to move the plot forward.

The audiobook narrator did a wonderful job at bringing this book to life and capturing Sybil’s personality.
