A fun romcom. beach read about love, healing and loving yourself first. A wonderful and cute story set in a beautiful Hawaii. When Sybil and Jamie wedding is called off they both have credit from their honeymoon. A year later, Sybil decides to go before it expires. Unbeknowst to her Jamie planned a getaway for a different reason during the same time. Sybil and Jamie haven’t seen each other since the day of their explosive argument, when she literally ran from the altar. Their reunion had so much potential for tension and emotion, all that unresolved stuff between them. Sybil, as a main character, was intense and quite a lot to take in, although there was never a dull moment. The book relies heavily on the miscommunication trope, with both Sybil and Jamie being dishonest, not just with each other but also with themselves. Jamie was equally intriguing, seemingly shaped by what was expected of him by his family, something we learn through Sybil’s narration of the past. A year later, he seems to be trying to live more for himself, rather than for his parents or even his sister. Interesting how family interferes with love. I enjoyed the story and the items that touched my own story. Thank you to Netgalley, the author and Forever Grand Central Publishing

This book was an adventure and such a perfect follow up from the first book, Mistakes We Never Made. You can read this one as a standalone. The first book was about two other characters, but dealt with the runaway bride Sybil Rain and the adventure the bridesmaid and best man went on to find her. This book picks up after that timeframe and fills in the storyline to what happened that wedding day to cause her to run and her past loves. It was a fun, cute, adventure rom-com and perfect summer beach read.
The audiobook was narrated by Cherami Leigh. She brought all the emotion to Sybil’s character!! She had various voices for the other characters. I thought the audiobook was such a good and easy listen.

I listened to the audiobook version of this novel. I liked the cover as it is eye catching and different. I have to be honest, I wish I had read the book first instead of listening to the audiobook version. I struggled with the voice of the narrator's as Sybil. I felt it was a bit over the top at times and it made me view Sybil as a spoiled, annoying, immature brat. I wonder if I would have formed the same opinion had I read the book myself before hearing the audio. The plot is a bit too far fetched to be believable. I really struggled to stay engaged and not be annoyed by Sybil's words and actions. I realize that I might be in the minority, but for me, this was a miss. I have not read any other books by this author so I am unable to compare to others. As other readers have said, it gives very much "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" vibes. If you are a fan of this author, you might like this book. However, this was my honest opinion. Thank you to Hannah Brown, Hachette Audio, and NetGalley for the ARC audiobook.

Thank you NetGalley and Forever for this ARC. Fun and quick paced beach read with good character development, I just wasn’t that invested in the story.

This was precious!! I love a good second chance romance. Hannah is quickly becoming one of my favorite romance authors.

I loved this book! I am a big fan and was excited for Hannah's debut novel last year but was really missing the full story for why Sybil was running from her own wedding for the entire first book. This follow up is messy and heartfelt and hopeful and yearny and all kinds of love triangle second chance romance satisfying. And it ultimately answers all those questions the readers are left with in her debut. It was a super fun listen and the narrator did a GREAl Job. She really brought Sybil to life and made her a fully realized person to me. I fully recommend!

Audiobook Review: The Four Engagement Rings of Sybil Rain
Format: Audiobook
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the advance audiobook copy!
Narration:
The audiobook narrator was a standout! Her voice matched Sybil’s character perfectly—warm, expressive, and charming. She handled different voices with ease, making it simple to follow conversations and distinguish between characters. Her inflection and tone kept the pacing steady and engaging, especially once the story picked up. I felt like she added a layer of personality that really brought Sybil and the other characters to life. The narration made the book even more enjoyable than it might have been in print.
Story:
The Four Engagement Rings of Sybil Rain is a light, easy-to-follow romantic story with strong character development. It took a little while to get going—the first 20% was a slow burn—but once it found its groove, I appreciated the way Sybil’s journey unfolded through her four very different engagements. The plot was simple, which gave room for the emotional growth and reflection that became the heart of the book.
Flow & Format:
The flow of the audiobook was smooth and easy to follow. The transitions between chapters and sections were clear, and the narrator’s pacing helped maintain a comfortable listening rhythm throughout.
Final Thoughts:
This isn’t a book I’d put in the same category as my 4- and 5-star favorites, but that’s not a knock—it’s just a different kind of read. It’s a sweet, character-driven story that fits perfectly into a summer playlist or a laid-back weekend. I’d recommend this audiobook if you’re looking for something light and heartwarming, especially in audio format. The narrator absolutely adds to the experience.

At first I thought I was watching a Hallmark Christmas movie. It was so sweet. However the character growth of the FMC Sybil was incredible. Sybil has been engaged 3 times but isn’t married. Sybil goes on what was supposed to be her honeymoon because the vouchers were due to expire. There at the resort she relives each of her serious relationships.
I ended up loving the story. There is very little spice but I didn’t mind at all The narrator does a good job with the male characters and her voice was perfect for Sybil. It did give off run a way bride vibes I haven’t read Hannah’s first book but now I know it’s a must.

I was so excited to receive this audiobook ARC (thank you @netgalley , @hachetteaudio) because this was such a cute plot - cue “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” vibes!
I was not disappointed- @hannahbrown delivered! It was such a fun book, and I really enjoyed all the characters, and Cherami Leigh does a fantastic job narrating this audiobook!
This HEA romance novel is the perfect beach read or summer vacation accessory!

Wow, I was completely taken with this book. The perfect emotional and dynamic rom-com to set the mood for summer. I definitely did get a more heart-rending Forgetting Sarah Marshall vibe— and I loved it. I ate up all the awkward and sometimes funny interactions, the affecting flashbacks, and the difficult unraveling of so many hidden truths.
The FMC was so incredibly imperfect and relatable. While I loved the second-chance romance plot, Sibyl’s personal journey of self-discovery, self-forgiveness, and self-acceptance is really what stole my focus. (But also important to note that MMC *is* very swoon-worthy.)
The narration for this audiobook was sublime. SO much emotion. Cherami Leigh gave a seriously amazing performance. The differentiation between characters 🤌 the ability to relay so many emotions *so* dynamically 🤌 I mean, just the emotional intelligence of the whole performance 🤌 I really hope she starts narrating more audiobooks, because I would absolutely pick up a book just based on her involvement.
I absolutely need to check out more from Hannah Brown, while I anticipate whatever she releases next. I loved her storytelling— the beautiful descriptions, dynamic characters, and deep themes really captivated my attention.

I went into this novel completely blind and what a pleasant surprise! This contemporary romance was such a fun time(: Sybil is such a fun and relatable character. I really enjoyed the openness and honesty of women's health and mental health in today's world. Sybil's journey wasn't linear by any means, but she eventually ended up right where she was meant to be.
I would like to consider myself an audiobook girlie, and I loved the single narration of this book! Most of the time I prefer duet or dual, but this narrator did a fantastic job representing multiple genders and accents. It was easy to tell when different characters were speaking, and she displayed every heart wrenching emotion beautifully! Definitely recommend!

This was such a fun and easy listen. I really enjoyed getting the perspectives of Sybils love with each of the men that she was engaged to. It felt like I was watching a movie in my mind which made it go by so fast. Hannah Brown really hit it out of the park for a second time!

I remember watching The Bachelorette and Hannah’s journey and knew she was someone to look out for. I have enjoyed all her books. Looking forward to more by Brown.
This one follows Sybil’s journey. She sets out to Hawaii, which was paid for the previous year for her upcoming wedding, which was cancelled. She has credits she needs to use and what better place to unwind!
Little did she expect to run into her then-fiancé Jaimie, which sends her spiraling just a bit. Apparently, his family business is thinking about buying the resort she is at. She will run into other men from her life and discover she must deal with her past to move forward.
I enjoyed how authentic her story is and her realization that she needs to face her past challenges. Can she find the love she truly wants and deserves? Will it be with Jaimie?
I listened to the audio and the narrator was perfect. If you love second chance romances this one is a perfect beach read.

I love a good second chance romance, and this one really delivered. I enjoyed Mistakes We Never Made, the author's debut. This follow up was even better!
The story had a small "fake dating" piece to it, that I really enjoyed. I loved all of the characters and really enjoyed how the story played out and how everything ended.
I listened to the audiobook version and it was really well done.
Thank you to Hachette Audio | Forever for providing this book for review consideration via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

I enjoyed listening to Sybil Rain’s journey of love and heartbreak. The author and narration worked well together. I would recommend this audio story.

This story was cute but the story fell flat. The Title is great because it grabs your attention. However, I was hoping for a funny story about a girl who gets herself in all these situations but, alas, it was just a sappy love story. Sybil was just a romantic who said yes to everything and everyone. I didn't love her. Her predicaments were trite and annoying. No one falls into 4 engagements. It made her seem so shallow. What redeemed Sybil's character for me was that she was independent, employed, and had great friends who supported her. But if she was my friend, I don't know that I could keep my opinions to myself.
Thank you to NetGalley, and Thomas Nelson Fiction publishing for this digital advanced reader’s copy and audio copy of this book is exchange for my honest review! All thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.

Sybil Rain was a really enjoyable romantic comedy. With hints of White Lotus, this was an enjoyable read with some unexpected turns. I liked finding out it was kinda planned for them to be there at the same time. I really wish we had an opportunity to see the character development on page rather than it happening when they are apart. But the slower burn of the re-kindling was fun. The narrator was so good. The voices and expressions were super clear.

if you’re into heartfelt second chance stories, this one delivers. Sybil and Jamie had such a soft, believable connection, and their HEA felt real without dragging things out.
Loved Sybil’s friend group, they added so much warmth. Her growth was messy in the best way.
Thanks to Hachette Audio for the ALC. Cherami Leigh was perfect as Sybil.

If you don’t like the miscommunication trope, this book might not be for you. But if you're into a well done second chance romance, this one delivers. It really reminded me of The Ex Vows.
Sybil and Jamie are just so soft and tender together. I loved them as a couple, and I was so happy they got their HEA. The story felt raw and real, and I appreciated that their time apart wasn’t dragged out too long, it hurt just enough without making me spiral.
I especially loved Sybil’s support system, her girlfriend group was everything. Sybil’s arc was angsty, honest, and full of growth, which made it even more satisfying to read.
Big thanks to Hachette Audio for the ALC. Cherami Leigh absolutely nailed it as Sybil, her performance kept me engaged from start to finish.

The emotion journey of this book WOW
Sybil the cursed bride after 3 failed engagements, while she's having her honeymoon alone a year after her break-up, she ends up meeting 2 of her ex-fiancés, what a luck, will the fourth be her charm, and how the story will shape up through the journey?
The amount of awkwardness that Sybil has to endure throughout the book is enormous and I enjoyed every moment of it. Seriously I wished the ground to swallow me on her behalf every time she meets Jamie and his "sexy colleague".
YEP, again what a luck! at the moment when things getting exciting and good with Jamie of course the second ex-fiancé shows up, I hate miss communication!
From here on welcome to emotion roller-coaster. The secrets and truths unravel OMG!! sweet sybil having this burden all by herself (TEARS). The hate and despise for Liam are incomprehensive. but luckily this is a healing journey for accepting and loving yourself and trusting your partner love the true you.
P.S. Loved the narrator
