Thank you Hachette Audio, Forever & NetGalley for the eARC/ALC in exchange for my honest review!
4.5 stars!
First and foremost - this book definitely deserves a content warning for mention of past abusive relationships, fertility issues (including miscarriage) & mention of PCOS. While these topics are brushed upon (some mentioned more than others), I know they can be potentially triggering for some folks in any capacity.
This is the first book I've read by Hannah Brown and I thoroughly enjoyed it! This book heavily leans into the miscommunication trope (which is usually not my favorite) but Hannah made this work really well. The tropical setting of being stuck at a resort (with not one BUT TWO of your ex-fiancés) is less than ideal but it was so, so enjoyable to read. Sybil was such an interesting & whimsical character who had real flaws, her character growth throughout the book was written really well. I was really rooting for Sybil & Jamie at the end, they made me laugh AND cry. Overall an enjoyable summer read.
Cherami Leigh narrated this book beautifully - her performance was engaging and truly a delight to listen to! If you have the chance to listen to this I highly recommend.

f you loved Runaway Bride, then The Four Engagement Rings of Sybil Rain is your next must-read (or must-listen)! Hannah Brown delivers a fun, easy beach read that’s equal parts heartwarming and hilarious.
The story follows Sybil Rain, a quirky and slightly clueless heroine who seems to collect engagement rings like souvenirs. But beneath the surface of this lighthearted rom-com is a charming story about heartbreak, growth, and ultimately, self-discovery. Sybil’s journey is one of second chances.
The pacing is quick and keeps you entertained from start to finish, with just the right blend of humor and heart. The second-chance romance trope is well executed, and fans of lovable rom-coms will find plenty to enjoy here.
This book is perfect for anyone looking for a breezy, feel-good story that doesn’t take itself too seriously but still delivers emotional payoff.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the advanced listening copy. All opinions are my own.

This was so cute and fun, definitely a great summer read (or listen, in my case)! It has a very rom-commy feel, and fans of Forgetting Sarah Marshall will find some immediate similarities, to hilarious effect.
Sybil as a character is relatable and fun, it is easy to root for her success and cringe along with her failures. Her friends are somewhat underdeveloped (though they’re obviously positioned as connected sequels). She spends significant time with both Jamie and Sebastian, two ex-fiancées who provide good depth and variety to the story. The flashback stories of her previous relationships also worked very well for the narrative.
The plot is relatively simple in a way that lets Sybil’s character arc shine, and focuses on relationship development between the characters. It was not an overly surprising reveal, but definitely still emotional and meaningful.
Cherami Leigh does a great job narrating the audiobook, and I thoroughly enjoyed the listen. I also hear that Hannah worked with a ghost writer, Emily Larabee, for this novel. I think the partnership worked out great, and I really enjoyed the read! Hopefully they will work together again.
Thank you to Hannah Brown, Hachette Audio, and NetGalley for the audiobook ARC!

FIRST OF ALL I LOVED THIS BOOK! I loved Mistakes We Never Made last year so I was so excited to listen to this one. The narrator was great! She did a great job with the characters. It flowed nicely and I genuinely enjoyed listening.
The story ❤️ I loved Sybil’s character. I loved watching her grow and evolve into the character she became by the end of the love aspect was so cute too! I loved it all. I laughed and I cried. It was beautiful. Highly recommend! .

Thank you to NetGalley for the audiobook!
The Four Engagement Rings of Sybil was just okay for me, and I ended up rating it 3 stars. I went in expecting a swoony, emotional romance, but it just didn’t deliver. The chemistry between the characters felt flat—there was no real tension, no banter, no angst… nothing to make me root for the romance. I found myself wishing for more spark and connection. That said, the premise was fun and I did enjoy the narration, but overall it didn’t quite hit the mark.

I am very picky about romance books and I enjoyed this so much. I loved that Sybil was able to speak up for herself by the end of the book and figure out what she really wanted. I loved the backstory of each of her engagements. The run in with her exs on her vacation made me laugh out loud. This book had some deeper themes as well as the romance which made me enjoy the story even more. The narrator was perfect for this book and I loved her voice. This would be a perfect summer read or really an anytime read if you need a second chance romance about a woman figuring herself out.

Hannah Brown’s The Four Engagement Rings of Sybil Rain is like a fruity cocktail—sweet, bubbly, and guaranteed to give you a good time! Sybil Rain is a free spirit caught in a hilarious whirlwind of past heartbreaks, mistaken identities, and beachside shenanigans. When her long-awaited getaway at Starling Ranch Inn turns into a comical game of “which ex is which?” you know you’re in for a treat. From snorkeling mishaps to beachside staff parties, Sybil’s journey is as colorful as her tangerine bikini. Her accidental-on-purpose fib about having a boyfriend to save face sparks a delightful comedy of errors, especially when exes Jamie and Sebastian show up like uninvited guests at a wedding you never wanted. Toss in some jealous glances, surprising revelations, and a splash of tropical romance, and you've got a read that’s both heartwarming and hilarious. Brown beautifully balances humor, heart, and just enough drama to keep you hooked. Whether you’re rooting for Sybil to finally find her happily-ever-after or just in need of a lighthearted escape, this book delivers a perfect dose of sunshine and sass. So grab your sunglasses, a piña colada, and get ready to cheer for Sybil as she finally learns to embrace her past—and maybe, just maybe, find her forever love.
