I would like to thank Netgalley and Hachette Audio for this ALC.

Sybil Rain is going on her honeymoon, alone after her previous engagement ends in a breakup, why waste this vacation before it expires right?

Once she arrives she realizes not one but 2 of her exes are at the hotel, including her most recent one. As they keep running into each other they realize they may still have feelings for each other

I enjoyed this fun romance story and the production on the narration was great. If you like second chance romance, you will love this.
This being the author's second book I look forward to her next book.

I give The Four Engagement Rings of Sybil Rain by Hannah Brown a 3.5 out 5 stars.

This was such a fun, pull-at-your-heartstrings listen. I had the chance to review the ARC (Netgally) audiobook and I'm so glad I had the opportunity. It was fantastic.

Hannah Brown is a romantic comedy author. She makes her characters relatable and realistic.

The narrator Cherami Leigh did a fantastic job. With her lighthearted perfect delivery of the character's voice.

Sybil is quirky and a hot mess.
A year after her third failed engagement/almost wedding her best friends convince her to go on her honeymoon vacation in Hawaii before the vouchers expire. What could possibly go wrong?

Of course her last ex Jaime is there having had the same idea. They keep bumping into each other and with each interaction, it's clear how much they still care for one another.

But wait that's not all. Her second ex-fiancé shows up at the resort and things really get interesting.

Her first relationship/fiancé was so toxic and heartbreaking. Left her with deep emotional scars she had to bring to light and get through to move on.

This is a story about second chances and clearing up the past to make a path and room for love in the present and future.

"You can hoof it as far and fast as you want but you can't outrun the problem that's between your ears."

This is a fantastic summer read/listen that will leave you with a positive message and a happy feeling.

To be honest, I enjoyed "Mistakes We Never Made" a lot more than this one. There were a couple of aspects that made the book feel a lot messier than it needed to be. I truly felt like the storyline of bringing Seb in wasn't necessary and the book and story would've been more enjoyable without him. It just caused a lot of unnecessary drama and mess that wasn't needed, in my opinion. Up until the whole "fake dating" aspect entered the plot, I was really enjoying it. But once that kind of took off, it just fell flat for me, and I typically enjoy fake dating, but this just wasn't it.

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC. The Four Engagement Rings of Sybil Rain by Hannah Brown is a delightful and heartwarming novel that offers a fresh take on love, self-discovery, and the complicated paths we take to find our true selves. With a witty premise and a heroine you can’t help but root for, this book is an entertaining journey from start to finish. Sybil Rain is engaging, flawed, and relatable as she reflects on the four very different engagements that have shaped her life. Each ring represents not just a relationship, but a version of herself she once tried to be — and it’s this layered emotional exploration that gives the novel surprising depth beneath its sparkling surface.

This is a sharp, emotionally rich rom-com that delivers far more than laughs. One year after her wedding goes up in flames, Sybil takes her unused honeymoon trip to Hawaii, hoping for spa days and solitude. Instead, she finds her ex-fiancé Jamie at the same resort—with a hot coworker in tow. Things get even wilder when her other ex-fiancé, Sebastian, shows up and offers to fake-date her out of pity or pride (or both). What could’ve been a slapstick mess turns into a heartfelt exploration of heartbreak, self-worth, and the tangled ways we try to protect ourselves.

Sybil is messy, hilarious, and deeply human, and watching her try to reclaim her identity post-disaster is both devastating and inspiring. This had the perfect balance between escapist fun and emotional honesty. As a big fan of Forgetting Sarah Marshall, I absolutely ate this up—tropical setting, awkward exes, and all. This is a rom-com that dares to ask what happens after the big heartbreak, and answers it with heart, humor, and a suitcase full of chaos. I couldn’t put it down!!!!!

About Sybil: You know that friend in your girls group who says they don't like chaos or drama but no matter how hard they do (or don't) try, they are always surrounded in just that?

Welcome to next nine hours of your life if you are listening on audio like I did!

Now, not all of the chaos and drama of Sybil's past engagements is her fault (I'm looking at you engagement ring number one) but her inability to communicate, effectively or otherwise, and past traumas sure don't help with engagements two and three.

Overall, I liked this book better than book one in the Mistakes We Never Made series. You can easily follow the growth of the main characters and see how Sybil really makes an effort to figure out what and who she truly wants.

Hannah Brown will likely be an auto-read from me here on out.

This audiobook was such a sweet surprise! First off, Cherami Leigh did a fantastic job narrating; her voice was expressive, clear, and made it super easy to follow along. At times, I felt like I was Sybil while listening. She brought the emotion and humor to life in a way that pulled me into the story. The pacing was a little slow for me, but that’s usually the case with audiobooks. I just adjusted the speed to accommodate my preferences.
The story itself? Adorable. I can’t even get one man to propose, and Sybil had four?! Lol What I loved most was that even though the men were all part of her journey, it was Sybil’s story. Watching her grow and learn to value herself more was so incredibly powerful.
One of the things that hit me personally was the inclusion of PCOS and her miscarriage story. I’ve had PCOS since I was 15 and have gone through multiple miscarriages myself, and it honestly meant so much to see that represented. It felt real, raw, and respectful, and made me feel even more connected to Sybil.
The audiobook flowed well overall, no awkward jumps or confusing transitions and there weren’t any moments that felt like unnecessary filler. It truly kept my attention the entire time (which is no small feat).
I would recommend this audiobook/book! It’s not my usual romance read, but I’m so glad I gave it a try. Sometimes reading outside your comfort zone leads to stories that stay with you, and this one did just that.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This book popped off right away. From the moment I picked it up I couldn’t put it down! I loved the main character! We felt like a real person not too quirky, but was still a well rounded individual. The drama wasn’t over done.. it felt like what could really happen out in the real world.

After finishing I did realize this book is part 2 of another and the story’s are intertwined. With that said I don’t think I was missing anything. I am planning on going back and to read the first book though.

The narration was spot on in the audiobook. It was easy to tell who was speaking. She had perfect voices for every character. You can feel the pain in the main characters voice when she’s retelling her past. Or the joy when she’s out there living her life.

Perfect beach read! Loved this summer vibe, fake dating, second chance romance!

This book was such a wonderful follow up to Hannah's first (fiction) book - Mistakes We Never Made. It is also a strong stand-alone for anyone new to Hannah's books too!

Note: This book needs a trigger or content warning for pregnancy loss. It was a descriptive part of Sybils story and caught me off guard.

What I liked about it:
-I love the familiarity of the characters from the first book. We get little tidbits into their lives without feeling like we are entirely in a sequel.
-Similarly, we also get a bit more details and backstory into Sybil's actions in the first book which I thought was really fun.
-The setting of the beach resort was perfect for that summer time reading feel!
-The second chance romance trope was done pretty well, and paired with the other points above, it made for a great read that sucks you right in.
-Sybil as a character felt very authentic and her journey to self-discovery really made her character grow on me in this one.

What I didn't like:
-I wasn't a big fan of the narrator. Something about her voice just felt like it didn't fit the character in my opinion. It was super bubbly and fluffy when I felt like it should have been a bit more grounded and calm considering all of the rough things Sybil has gone through.
-All of the secrets to me are so agitating. I know it's fiction but I just couldn't imagine keeping such heavy secrets from someone I'm about to walk down the aisle too.

Overall, this was a good summer read. I would recommend reading Mistakes We Never Made first, simply because I really enjoyed that one, but this can totally be read on its own as well. If you're a fan of Hannah Brown from the bachelorette - you'll enjoy checking these out for all of the little easter eggs from her time on the show!

*4.5 Stars

I had a great time listening to this audio! I listened to the whole thing in less than 24 hours. It was so addicting and engaging and the vibes were perfect for an easy summer romance. Just what I was in the mood for!

This is technically book 2 in a series, but I read this on it's own and did not feel like I was missing anything. Right from the beginning I was so interested in Sybil and what went down with all her past engagements. I think the dual timelines really helped to understand her and how she got to where she was with Jamie in the present.

And Jamie! I didn't know going in for sure who our MMC was, but immediately after meeting him and feeling the chemistry and tension between them, I was hoping it would be him! They are truly opposites, but brought out the best in each other and fit so well together. Especially after their time away to work on some things individually.

This was low steam/spice, but I didn't mind at all. I think it worked with the slow burn of their relationship and it made for the perfect beach/pool read for the summer! There was some miscommunication, but honestly I think given where their heads were at the time, it made sense and this type of miscommunication I honestly don't mind, as someone who usually hates that trope haha.

So overall, I just had a great time listening to this and would definitely read more from Hannah Brown! And I'm not sure if I have listened to anything from this narrator, but she was great!

Thank you so much to the author, Hachette Audio, and Forever Pub for the advanced audio.

This was the perfect summer "listen"! I loved listening to Sybil's tales of failed engagements only to find herself again while on a trip to Hawaii (which was supposed to be her honeymoon). The narrator did an awesome job at helping me picture all of the amazing characters and their adventures. Do not pass this one up!

Not my favorite FMC, she was not relatable to me and some of her decisions were cringe worthy but I get there are people who might super relate. It was interesting enough

This is one of those books that won me over with the cover.
With zero clue about the story, I added this one on my TBR because the front of the book 100% captured my attention-so beautiful! I listened to this as an audiobook and loved it!
Chermai Leigh delivered Sybil's character beautifully. Chermai was energetic, expressive, easy to understand and a very engaging narrator! 10/10 recommend this as an audiobook!

Sybil Rain is finally taking her honeymoon, a year later and alone, since the wedding unfortunately didn't happen. This trip is supposed to be a time of healing and moving on but running into her ex-fiancé, Jamie, who she was supposed to take this trip with, hinders the plan a bit. We take a deep dive into Sybil's past relationships, engagements and all the obstacles that stood in the way of each one. I love how Hannah went backwards with each engagement, starting with Jamie (3rd ring) to Seb (2nd ring) down to Liam (1st ring). Each relationship holds an importance piece as to why Sybil can't seem to keep that ring on her finger.

The Four Engagement Rings of Sybil Rain is full of second chances and that's my favorite! This is the perfect summer read that will leave your heart smiling and have you wanting to make your way to a tropical paradise! 🌴☀️

Thank you NetGalley and Hachette Audio for this early copy. All opinions are my own.

Thank you so much Hachette Audio for the gifted audiobook!

I'll start by saying as far as the audiobook itself goes, I thought the production was great! The narrator did a wonderful job, the voices were fun, expressive, and easy to listen to. She definitely brought the story to life.

The story itself was hard for me to get into and I found myself annoyed at the characters. This is the second fiction book by Hannah I've not loved after enjoying her memoir. I don't think at this point her romances are for me, but I'd be open to her books in other genres in the future.

The Four Engagement Rings of Sybil Rain is a sweet story about love and finding yourself. Sybil wants love but despite many proposals she doesn’t seem to find the right person at the right time. Her trip to paradise is a great idea and brings everything full circle for her. Given time to reflect and reunite with her past. This story and characters are a breath of fresh air. No angst or betrayal just a lot of love and respect. A fantastic beach read/listen to get lost in by the pool. The narration was spot on and added to the story.

I was so pleasantly surprised by how much I loved this! It was my first book by Hannah Brown and although it was apparent that there was a book one that I hadn't read yet it didn't feel like I was missing out on anything. The little snippets of the story I got from this book were intriguing and while I plan on reading book one I don't necessarily need to. This one can definitely be read as a stand-alone.

Sybil's story is delightful and filled with plenty of cute and funny moments while also packing quite an emotional punch that I didn't see coming. Her relationship with Jamie was a fantastic second chance romance. Normally I have a hard time with a miscommunication trope but this one worked well and I couldn't resist rooting for their happily ever after.

The Four Engagement Rings of Sybil Rain is a definite candidate for my top summer romance this year! Between the setting, the characters, and the humor it's summer time perfection!

The narration was performed very well! She did an amazing job bringing these characters to life and gave Sybil emotional depth and a sweet vulnerability.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are my own.

First of all, I had no idea the author was THE Hannah Brown. I may be 800 years old (45) with 12,000 kids (4) but I remember Hannah from one of the last seasons of the Bachelor that I subjected myself to. 😂😂

I loved sweet, southern Hannah! So when I came across an instagram post last week from THE Hannah Brown and she was showing off her new book, which was sitting in MY to-be-read pile, it was like the stars aligned. I rushed through the book I was reading in order to dive into this one.

And, it was SO cute! I loved the story. I loved Sybil. I loved everything about the fourth engagement ring. 🩷🩷 I just really enjoyed this one. It made me laugh, smile, all the things.

Second of all, the narrator was amazing! Loved her voice.

Great book. Recommend!

Thank you to NetGalley and Hachette Audio/Forever for the advance audio in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Audio ARC Review

Thank you to NetGalley, Hannah Brown, and Hachette Audio | Forever for the advanced listener copy of The Four Engagement Rings of Sybil Rain 🎧💍

Okay so—was the writing a bit immature at times? Yeah 😅 But this is only Hannah Brown’s second novel, and she’s got plenty of room to grow as an author. That said… I had FUN. Like, genuinely enjoyable, flew-through-it fun! 🏝️📖

This book is marketed as giving Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Anyone but You vibes... and honestly? Not really 😬 But what it does give is a chaotic tropical vacation with exes, emotional unraveling, and found family energy. Sybil was messy in the best way, and her friendship with Willow (and the whole friend group dynamic!) brought so much warmth 💕 I do wish we had more backstory there instead of being tossed straight into the trip with a surprise ex-fiancé and his… colleague?? 👀

And yes—technically she’s just a “colleague,” but let’s be honest, the tangerine bikini and clear crush said otherwise 👒😏 Jamie, of course, was blissfully unaware. Some of that plotline felt a little flat and unnecessary, but overall, the chaos worked for me.

I really wanted more from the side characters, but still, the story delivered more emotion than I expected. I even teared up once or twice 😭✨

If you’re in the mood for something light, dramatic, and a little chaotic, this one’s a good time. I didn’t read book one in the series, but this totally works as a standalone!

I wanted to love this. I read Hannah’s first book, Mistakes We Never Made, and didn’t love that either. But I wanted to give The Four Engagements Rings of Sybil Rain a try. I just feel these two characters treated each other horribly, and could have left the relationship behind. ALSO 4 engagement rings? Excessive. I believe it’s time for Sybil to have some introspection.

Cute! I wasn't expecting too much, since I only know Hannah Brown from her stints on the Bachelor/ette franchise. I was pleasantly surprised and thought this kept attention and was cute. Mostly light and fluffy (TW miscarriage).
