The Christmas Cure is a cozy holiday romance that feels like a warm hug and will help get you in the Christmas spirit! I love the small town that goes all out for holidays and I wish I could live in their bakery, the descriptions of the breads and smells had this carb loving girl drooling! This book feels like a play on the Ghost of Christmas Past with the past and present timelines. There are so many good messages throughout the book and I highlighted several quotes while reading. Change can be scary but sometimes making a change turns out to be the best decision of your life. This books shows how every decision we make changes the trajectory of our lives but some things are inevitable. I also thought Liam was so cute... him and his Christmas spirit need to be protected at all costs!

If you like Christmas books with dual timelines and Toronto rep, you should try The Christmas Cure!

Get excited to read The Christmas Cure, available October 7! 🎉

Dr Libby Monroe lives in Toronto and is an emergency room doctor. She has an extremely busy life and often forgets to check voicemails, respond to messages and never has time to call home to her parents or sister Amelia. It's been a year since she's broken up with her boyfriend Austin, a plastic surgeon. Libby has plans to head south for Christmas alone when her mother falls and breaks her ankle she is forced to head back to her home town, Harmony Hills.

It doesn't take long before she meets Liam who seems absolutely perfect. But after a Christmas wish comes true Libby ends up in Christmas past. After getting settled back into the past Libby has a goal to alter the future and enjoys a wonderful Christmas in Harmony Hills in the meantime.

The Christmas Cure is a perfect novel for someone looking for a happy ending and enjoys a Hallmark story. I personally loved the story and really loved how the author wrapped up the ending. If you love Christmas novels this is definitely one to pick up to get in the spirit.

This was a cute winter read, I really enjoyed it. The medical doctors was a neat approach to the story. I would gladly share with readers.

I love Christmas and a Christmas book was right up my ally, but a time loop book - was not. I found it difficult to figure out where we were in time and why we spent so much time in the past. I also found that I wasn’t drawn to the story and I would put it down and start something else - often. I felt robbed of everything that could have been shared about the “now”. I still enjoyed the story, and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys time lapses, it just left me a bit sour at the end like something was missing.

Thank you to NetGalley and Simon & Schuster Canada for the opportunity to read and review this book in advance of it’s release!

I think I went into this one with the wrong kind of expectations. I thought I was going to be reading a romance novel set in the backdrop of Christmastime. The Christmas Cure, however, turns out to be a Christmas novel full stop. There is an element of romance between her and Liam, but it felt very insta love-y to me. Libby and Liam's interactions felt very surface level. Even when they discussed deeper topics, it still came off as one dimensional to me. I had a hard time reading the dialogue between all of the characters in this one - there was a lot of small talk to parse through that I felt didn't contribute story wise. The time travel aspect of the story was the thing that pulled me through (I was about to DNF at 65%).

I feel very neutral about Christmas to begin with so that might have contributed to my lack of enjoyment of the book as it was all about Christmas. I feel like readers who love Christmastime will enjoy the cozy Christmas aspect and have a better time with this read than I did. Relying on the romance plot alone was probably a mistake on my part as the main part of this book is dedicated to holiday vibes and Libby's family.

I just wanted to start by saying thank you Simon and Schuster for this advanced copy of The Christmas Cure! I adored being able to read this cute Christmas book!

Think Gilmore Girls meets Hallmark movies and that is this book in a nutshell! You have the cute town of Harmony Hills that are Christmas buffs but also celebrates every season to the max! Mixed with a back in time trope where the main character looks to change her future and you have the makings of a great book!

I love a good Christmas book with a cosy small town vibe and all the Christmas spirit you can have and this book did not disappoint! I loved the town of Hamoney Hills and all the cute side characters. If you love Christmas as much as I do you would love the descriptions and the little touches of Christmas peppered throughout this book. I’m a Christmas nut and enjoyed these little elements, especially the elf references!

The main character Libby was so much fun to read about I loved her character development throughout this book and just her personality you were rooting for her the whole time! If you are looking for a cosy Christmas book look no further this is the book for you! It’s only July and I think I've found one of my favourite Christmas books of the year!

This was a super sweet and charming small town holiday romance that sees a Toronto ER doctor returning home for Christmas, hitting her head and waking up one year in the past. If you like time loops stories, Hallmark movies, big-hearted, holiday loving families and towns, plus a swoony dimpled baker MMC, this book is sure to delight. Karma Brown writing as Kristine Winters pulled off the perfect cozy, lighthearted and funny holiday romance. Be sure to look for it when it hits shelves in October! Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early digital copy in exchange for my honest review.

This is my, "Christmas in July" book. What a treat reading a Christmas story right smack in the middle of a heatwave 🥵🎄☀️👙 Written by 🇨🇦 author Karma Brown under the pseudonym, Kristine Winters.

This one is cute and fun and delivers on all the Hallmark vibes. There's plenty of Christmas cheer, foods and activities all throughout the story. Libby Munro is an ER doctor from Toronto who travels back to her small hometown of, "Harmony Hills" for Christmas with her family. The town is Christmas-obsessed and so is her family. Libby is dealing with a breakup and questioning her past choices. She meets a handsome green-eyed stranger who helps her when her car breaks down to get to town. At the Christmas tree lighting ceremony she gets run over by the stranger's potbellied pig - named, "Mary Piggins." When she wakes the next day she finds herself at Christmas time one year earlier when she is still with her ex-boyfriend. Just what is going on? I'd suggest you add this one to this year's Christmas line-up of books if you want to find out if this Doctor can find the "cure" to her odd circumstances!
