Oh, I have found a new series to binge. I can’t wait for book two.

Major thanks to NetGalley and Harlequin Audio for the ALC in exchange for an honest review.

I adored this. For anyone who was a fan of The Bonds that Tie series, this is your next read if you haven’t done it already.

You’re getting the slow burn, the secrets, the magical world building, and hotties galore. I highly recommend the audio since it’s full-cast for the main four characters and so well done. It’s also available on KU, but you know I bought a physical copy with those sprayed edges.

Jasmine Mas kicks off her Cruel Shifterverse series with a dark, addictive paranormal romance that’s anything but tame. The audiobook brings fierce energy to a story packed with tension, heat, and supernatural grit. Expect enemies-to-lovers dynamics, slow-burn tension, and a reverse harem setup with plenty of bite. The pacing is fast, the dialogue sharp, witty, fun, and the emotional beats hit hard. This is a dark romance with graphic scenes and mature themes including abuse, violence, and trauma. Not for the faint of heart—but perfect for fans of gritty tales with strong female leads.

💙💜 Psycho Shifters by Jasmine Mas 💜💙

💙 This one is about Sadie, who lives as a “null” shifter (someone from a shifter family with no beast form) and an indentured servant until she’s brought for her testing. Turns out Sadie isn’t a null shifter at all but a powerful alpha. The problem? She’s the first female alpha, she’s tiny, she’s never shifted, she has no training, and the three 6’5 members of her cohort think she’s weak. But Sadie didn’t survive a lifetime of servitude without growing a major backbone. 💜

💙 This is one of those books that makes you wonder if the author put an addictive substance in it! It’s impossible to put down! It’s also not super long and leaves a ton of questions so I’ll be reaching for the next one as soon as I can! The bullying is not as extreme as Zodiac Academy and it felt like for the most part the book was much more fun/funny than dark or serious (although there are dark themes). I’m really excited to see where this series goes! There was some spice but not a lot so I’m looking forward to it heating up in the next books! The only reason why I took away a star is because it had a lot of mentions of vomiting, she seems to be constantly getting queasy and puking all over. Reminded me of Feyre’s watery bowels, maybe they’d get along? 💜

🎧 The audiobook of this was fire! The FMC voice actor, Mollie Stark, had a great knack for comedic intonation and timing, and she really conveyed Sadie’s rough voice very well. This is also a “duet-style” audiobook with the male actors spliced into the FMC’s chapters. Actors plural, because we get a unique actor for each MMC! And one of them is Teddy Hamilton! Highly recommend the audiobook!

💙 Thank you so much to NetGalley and Harlequin Audio for the ALC! 💜

🫖 I paired this book with a fizzy iced tea! I brewed up a strong cup of Frozen Raspberry tea from David’s tea (two perfect spoons to half a cup of hot water), then poured it over ice, then poured in a can of raspberry Bubly. I added a bit of vanilla syrup to sweeten. In the book, Sadie has some “fizzy drink” and then goes a bit wild at a party. 😉

I absolutely demolished this series last year, and when I saw that it was getting a new and improved audiobook (and paperback) i jumped at the chance to apply!
The new audiobook has a FULL cast of characters which adds so much more fun to the story! Did I mention Teddy Hamilton is one of the voices?! Sign me up immediately!
If you love this authors other story Blood of Hercules, then you need to check out this series too!
Why Choose? Check!
Enemies to lovers? Check!
Morally Grey Alphas? Check!
Not to mention, the sarcasm and witty comments from the FMC are so much fun!
Thank you NetGalley for this ALC! I absolutely loved it!

I didn’t realize this was a re-release of a book I had already read back on August 8, 2024—but the moment it started playing, it all came rushing back. I devoured it in a day then, and honestly? I still loved it just as much the second time around.

Was it perfect? No. But it had all the elements I enjoy in a reverse harem: fun, chaotic alpha men, chemistry, and a badass FMC. The narrators did a fantastic job bringing these personalities to life, and it made the re-read (or re-listen, in this case) a total treat. Audiobook by Jasmine Mas, narrated by Mollie Stark, Jaime Lincoln Smith, Teddy Hamilton, Jeremy York.

Sometimes, a book just hits right in the omegaverse.

Quick thank you to Harlequin Audio & NetGalley for approving my ARC request!

Can we take like 3 seconds to give a standing ovation to the narrators?! Lawd have mercy.
Mollie Stark played the role of an angsty, rough around the edges twenty-something year old ✨ perfectly ✨ -- I was full belly cackling at her banter.

𝒅𝒊𝒔𝒄𝒍𝒂𝒊𝒎𝒆𝒓
While this isn't my typical genre-- yes I read books based on covers and I take full responsibility (lol) -- I enjoyed the ride!

4/5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
2.5/5 chili peppers 🌶️🌶️½

First off, thank you to NetGalley, the author Jasmine Mas, and Harlequin Audio for the opportunity to listen to an ARC of Psycho Shifters.

This is the second book I’ve read by Jasmine Mas—the first being her more recent release Blood of Hercules. It’s clear she’s grown as a writer since Psycho Shifters, especially in terms of craft and structure, but what remains consistent (and what made me fall in love with her work) is her signature humor and fast-paced storytelling.

Psycho Shifters is one of her earlier books, and yes, you can tell. The worldbuilding could have been more fleshed out, and some scenes would have benefited from more detail. That said, I was still completely hooked. It may not be a literary masterpiece (please don’t come for me), but it was a wildly entertaining, sexy, and chaotic ride—and sometimes that’s exactly what you need.

I loved Sadie, our bold and hilarious FMC, and the three MMCs—Cobra, Jax, and Ascher. As a reverse harem, it worked surprisingly well for me. Each of the guys had distinct personalities and voices, especially during their POV chapters, which I really appreciated. While I usually prefer my RH reads to center entirely around the FMC (and tend to shy away from MMM dynamics), this book leaned more into a polyamory-style setup, and honestly? I devoured it. It was spicy, intense, and oddly heartwarming in its own twisted way.

I’m excited to see how the world expands and how these unconventional relationships continue to evolve in future books. If you’re in the mood for a darkly funny, no-holds-barred paranormal romance that doesn’t take itself too seriously, Psycho Shifters is a ride worth taking.

Thank you Netgalley for the gifted ALC of this book.

I was absolutely hooked on this audiobook. The narrators were fantastic and brought the story to life. The voice actor for Sadie used a raspy voice that really added to the character.

Psycho Shifters tells the story of Sadie, an orphaned, abused servant who is whisked away and deposited in a war camp and told that she is an alpha shifter who has special abilities. Her inner monologuing, although childish at times, felt very real and relatable. The plot was interesting and the pacing was good. The ending left my jaw on the floor.

This book was so much fun to listen to and I wanted to drop everything to keep listening.

I bought a physical copy and I can't wait to listen to the next audiobook. The voice actors added to the story, and I would love to wait to continue the story with them, but I don't know if i can wait to find out what happens next!

Thank you to NetGalley for the audiobook!

I've been wanting to dive into more books by Jasmine Mas after reading Blood Of Hercules and of course with this being a book about shifters I had to pick it up (plus side that the sprayed edges are so beautiful)!

I absolutely loved the fact that this audiobook was multiple narrators for the main characters. I found that the choice of narrators was absolutely perfect and I need more of them and this series! This book definitely gives MMMF reverse harem and why choose vibes and I'm living for it.

Sadie and her inner monologues are absolutely hilarious and I love her. She's also a little crazy and gives Ascher, Max and Cobra a run for their money. I'm living for the tension between all these characters.

I'm eagerly awaiting more- especially the audiobook because I need to know what happens to the characters after the way the book ended!

The narration on this book is top tier. I really think it’s doing a lot of heavy lifting in this book. This is some of the best narration I can remember in a long time.

That’s the good news.

The bad news is that 90% of this book felt like it was regurgitated Blood of Hercules. I was supremely disappointed. I’m sure if I had read this in isolation I would have enjoyed it more, but it was impossible to separate the two works, there were just too many parallels. I do think the ending of the book was very interesting and now we’re branching off into new territory, so I am looking forward to continuing on with the series.

Special thanks to NetGalley and Harlequin Audio for this audiobook!

I really liked this book very similar to blood of Hercules by the same author. Wish the other books were out but I know they are being republished. If you are okay with bully romance then you might like this.

Thank you Netgalley for my ALC copy!

Book: Psycho Shifters
Author: Jasmine Mas
Rating: 3 stars 🌟🌟🌟

I wanted to love this book so much - I even picked up a physical copy from the store. BUT I unfortunately struggled alot.

The unique story was super intriguing, but the emotional immaturity of the characters was hard to get over.

The pacing seemed a little off and there were so many hidden identities and secrets, I didn’t know who to believe.

You get:
• Dark Fantasy Romance
• Spicy
• Shifters
• Alphas/Betas/Omegas
• Don't Trust Anyone
• Rivalries
• Hidden Identities

This one wasn't for me, but could be for you! Available on KU, ebook, paperback, and audiobook.

Psycho Shifters by Jasmine Mas was a fun read. I have heard a lot about her book Blood of Hercules but haven’t read it yet. When I got approved for this audiobook, I was excited to see Jasmine’s work for myself.

Sadie’s life gets turned upside down but possibly for the better. She becomes the first female Alpha Shifter. Its not easy by any means especially when she must put up with 3 male Alpha Shifters. They are stationed near a portal to the Fae realm and are to protect it from intruders while they are at war with the Fae. I was not expecting the twist at the ending so I will be continuing the audiobook series.

All the narrators were amazing!

My rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thank you so much, @NetGalley, for providing me with this Audio-ARC in exchange for an honest review!

With everything in life feeling so serious right now this book was everything I needed and more.

I loved blood of Hercules, I ate it up. I was hopeful that Psycho Shifters would have a similar vibe - and it totally did.

I received the audio on NetGalley and started it right away.

This story was giving me the comfort feeling that I get when I read bonds that tie with a sprinkle of ZA and the style of Blood of Hercules.

If you’re in it for the vibes then this is for you.

Plus it has Teddy Hamilton…. 🙇🏻‍♀️

I can’t wait for Psycho Fae

Thank you so much to Jasmine Mas and Harlequin Audio for the Audio ALC of this title. I was so excited to get this one! It was sooo worth the listen and I can't wait for the rest of the series! The narrators were perfection and I was hooked. Was the writing 5 star perfect, it can be argued, but it is worth your time forsure! highly recommend.

This audiobook was phenomenal. I had read Blood of Hercules, but had not gone back into other works for Jasmine Mas, but I'm glad I did, and with this audiobook. The narrators were amazing. This is really a 4.5 star rating for me. Mollie Stark and her amazing raspy voice, just took me right into the pages of this book as Sadie. And with the other top tier narrators Jaime Lincoln Smith, Teddy Hamilton, and Jeremy York, this book has started me on the road to finishing this series, with or without the audio - BUT I will be listening to each in audio format when they are released.

Thanks you Harlequin Audio for allowing me to listen to this book. I hope I'm honored with the remainder of the series.

Thank you to Harlequin Audio for the gifted ALC of this book! The narrators did a wonderful job. I actually really enjoyed listening to all of them and I think that is the reason why I listen to the whole book. So my rating may be more of a rating for the audiobook itself. I’m not sure I would’ve stuck around if I was reading the physical book.

Hmm… well I wasn’t too sure what to think about this book at first. I still have a lot of questions in the end and at first I wasn’t sure if I would read the next one in this series but now I feel like I need to know!

There were a few things that bothered me with this book. First, when it changed POV it almost went backwards and repeated the chapter I had just finished and I didn’t like to repeat what happened. I understand it was from a different POV but it bothered me. The other thing, the “romance” that occurred in this story all happened right at the end. It wasn’t really a romantasy… it comes off like it’s going to be a why choose, but then nothing really ever happens.

Lastly, the FMC is continuously referred to as a little person. She is small in stature and weight, she’s a tiny alpha, she’s small… I get it… she is small… move on. Until the end I was not really fully into the book. The ending had a good cliffhanger though. It did come as a surprise to me and that is where I feel like I now need to know what happens…

I originally read the Cruel Shifterverse as e-book and I'm very excited for the trad re-release for the series! The audiobook did not disappoint and I'm glad it was re-done for a new duet style. I am in love with the full cast audiobook. I think the book is insanely funnier when (re)listening to it on audio.

Sadie's inner thoughts are just something I can connect with and enjoy. I think Sadie is great as a character. She makes a lot of development from the first book alone, when learning that she's not just a nobody anymore.
It's a fun time for sure, but like not the most greatest plot writing in history or anything. I think it's the more modern day thinking and slang that might get people in the book but I enjoy it and the narrators definitely make it more enjoyable as well!

Thank you to Harlequin Audio for the ALC!

Psycho Shifters was one of those books that had me absolutely hooked, even I was constantly having “wait, what just happened?" moments. It’s not going to win a Pulitzer, but it’ll definitely make you want to run off with three dangerously hot alpha shifters.

Sadie is a total badass that I loved, feared, and lowkey wanted to be all at the same time even though I’d for sure cry if I were in her shoes. And don’t even get me starteddddd on the guys. All three of them were drool-worthy in their own unhinged ways, and I genuinely don’t know which one I’m more obsessed with (… but that’s a good problem to have).

Was the writing perfect? ✨Absolutely NAWT✨ The plot had SO MUCH potential and while there were some brilliant ideas in the mix, the world-building and execution felt a lil lacking, like a bucket of chaos or my brain before I was medicated. Threads were there, just never fully tied up. But I still ate it UPPPPP.

The dual POV was a win (but I’m always here for men narrating their obsessive thoughts), and the audiobook narrators? 10/10. Carried the drama perfectly.
Overall: 3 stars for the fun, the spice, and the sheer addictiveness. I read it in almost one sitting (side eyeing real life responsibilities for getting in the way here), and I’m already diving into book 2 like the emotionally unstable reader I am. 🤗

Now this was fun.

The start to a whole shifter universe and I’m here for it!

Sadie being the first female alpha to join the ranks makes her a point of fascination for so many, not least the pack she joins with 3 (hot but crazy) alpha-holes.

I was thoroughly entertained from the jump and blazed through this audiobook. So many implications from that ending!

Loved the duet narration by Mollie Stark, Jaime Lincoln Smith, Teddy Hamilton and Jeremy York. So glad the decision was made to re-record the audiobooks.

Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher and author for this ALC, I feel thoroughly treated!
