I'm so sorry but I couldn't stand this book. I'm disappointed because I wanted to read Blood of Hercules with all the hype, but now I'm not sure this author is the right fit for me. Let's get into it. The FMC is annoying. She has a tragic past but is constantly being described as so tiny, so smol, while everyone else is so big, so strong. It's hard to believe she is a (young) adult when she acts like a child. And then the MMCs are all infuriating, minus one who is actually decent. The plot twist at the end was a little confusing but I have no desire to continue the series.
I will say that the audiobook had a full cast and they all did a phenomenal job.

After 20 years living as a null in the Shifter Realm, Sadie’s entire life turns upside-down when she learns there’s more to her than she ever expected. Thrown into a shifter training fortress, Sadie soon finds herself stuck with 3 gigantic - not very welcoming - alphas for roommates who are immediately suspicious of her while constantly underestimating her.
I originally read the Cruel Shifterverse series in 2023, and was incredibly excited to hear the first three books were picked up by a publisher. I enjoyed it back then, and I enjoyed it again today, possibly more so because I experienced it as an audiobook this time around.
The voice actors for the audiobook were amazing. They did such a wonderful job embodying the characters and really made their personalities shine through.
Jasmine Mas knows how to write an entertaining story. I live for her snarky, sarcastic FMCs and broody, grumpy MMCs.
Sadie was an entertaining, hilarious main character. I loved her sassiness and the banter that ensued between her and the other Alphas. It was fun to watch how she came out of her shell a bit and grew from the girl she used to be as the book went on. I’ll also always love her friendship with Aran. She needed a bestie like Aran to help navigate and survive the next chapter in her life and the two of them make me so happy.
The Alphas were also really fun - although I will say, Ascher will likely get under your skin with some of the things he says/does. Jax and Cobra were awesome though. I love their dynamic and how they change/grow throughout the book.
Thank you so much to HTP Hive, HTP Books, MIRA Books, and NetGalley for the opportunity to listen to this book in advance. All thoughts are my own. 💗

4.5⭐️ oh this was FUN!! Ate this up in a day and was exactly what I needed! Hot alpha shifters, omegaverse, knotting, an unhinged and sarcastic heroine that Jasmine writes so well, and a mystery that has me impatiently waiting to dive into book 2 as soon as humanely possible!
While the rest of the series is available on KU, I did an immersive reading because these are getting republished traditionally with a full cast duet style audiobook that was to die for! And in trying to immersive read, I did notice how much editing went into this rerelease so I will be torturously holding off until the next book comes because the edits truly made the book so much more enjoyable!

This book was so much fun! 🖤 I loved having different narrators for each character—it made the audio experience even more immersive 🔥.
Shifter romances and reverse harems?? 🥵 Yes please. The MM scenes were chef’s kiss and don’t even get me started on the tattoos and piercings 😏😏 if you know, you know.
It’s wild, sexy, and addictive—the perfect escape if you love spicy paranormal with power plays, possessive love interests, and badass female leads.

What an incredible cast of narrators for such an incredible book!!!! This made me SO happy & I absolutely devoured this reread because of the audiobook.
This series has my heart, just like anything Jasmine releases. I am waiting on BATED BREATH for the rest to release!!!!

I could not put this one DOWN! It was incredible and I knew it would be with Jasmine and the set up of the world and the building and I just need more immediately. I can't believe it has taken me so long to find this series and so glad that it got picked up and will be in book stores everywhere to get more attention.

Thank you so much for this ARC/ ALC for my honest review! I loved this book so much! I'm left needing more asap. I can't wait to continue. The fmc is hilarious and the duet narration was amazing!

🎧 I listened to the audiobook and it was phenomenal! It’s done in duet narration, and the voice actors absolutely nailed it. 🎧
After loving Blood of Hercules, my expectations were high—and Jasmine Mas delivered again. This book is intense, chaotic, a little unhinged (in the best way), and completely unputdownable. The character dynamics are electric, and the darker elements are handled so well. It’s fast-paced, messy in all the right ways, and exactly what I needed. Jasmine Mas is quickly becoming one of my go-to authors.
The story is packed with snark, banter, mystery, and some unforgettable fae and alphaholes. The dry, razor-sharp humor had me laughing out loud.
If you're thinking of diving into Psycho Shifters, I highly recommend the audiobook. I’m already addicted and can’t wait for the rest of the series to drop in audio!
** This is the new print version which has been rewritten and differs from the original.

Oh this is definitely a good fantasy romance! I cannot wait to read the next book! It leaves on a cliffhanger so be ready to want more. These 4 characters are everything! I need to know what’s happening. And omg my heart breaks for Cobra 😫 the stuff he had to go through is crazy, and I wish he didn’t have to. But oooo Asher is a mean person, he will get what’s coming for him, I just know it. And poor Jax, he is the sweetest of them all.

Thank you Netgalley and the author for this audiobook ARC in exchange for my honest review!
2.5⭐️ – I came for the psychos and shifters, stayed for the chaos, left with confusion
Whew. Psycho Shifters really said “plot? character development? coherence? Nah, let’s vibe.”
I wanted to love this— powers, shifters, dark romance? Sign me up. But what I got felt like someone threw some tropes into a blender without checking if the lid was on. The result? Hot mess express.
One of the MMC called all women sl*ts. Repeatedly. I’m talking more than 10 times in one chapter. At the beginning he FMC seemed strong but that flew right out the window as soon as she left her home. Her inner monologue was grating. Very repetitive. “I’m small and weak” over and over and over.
There were multiple references to her bodily fluids. Vomit dripping out of her mouth- written multiple times. A quote straight from the book “While I sat on the toilet, my intestines screamed in agony as I suffered ballistic diarrhea.”
I mean relatable but let’s not write that one down, ya know?
The world-building? Confusing and fast. I had so many questions, and not in the fun, mysterious way—more like “Did I miss a chapter?” I had moments that made me check if I accidentally skipped pages. (Spoiler: I didn’t.)
The characters had potential, especially the broody, possessive types. The chemistry felt more like “we’re hot and stuck in the same book” than actual development.
That said, if you’re here for the spice, the drama, and don't mind ignoring the logic in favor of the vibes, you might still have a good time. For me? It was giving ✨aesthetic over substance ✨
🎧The narrator’s were great!

This book was very interesting. The character dynamics intrigued me and the world building was good. The only issue I am finding is that the ending kind of bored me and didn't make me yearn for book 2 immediately. Also, this series is 6 books long so I don't know if I'm ready to commit to that.

I read this book when it was indie published and liked it a lot. The audio took it from a like to a love!!! Jasmine is becoming one of my fav auto read authors!

5 Stars!!!
I absolutely devoured this. After Blood of Hercules (which I loved), I had high expectations, and Jasmine Mas delivered again. This book is chaotic, intense, a little unhinged, and I couldn’t put it down. The chemistry between the characters is wild, and the darker elements are written so well. It’s fast-paced, messy in all the right ways, and exactly what I needed. Jasmine Mas is quickly becoming a go-to author for me.

This book was a tease! I feel a why choose it mmmf reverse harem coming. The story was fun. Lots of snark and banter. Alphaholes, fae a bit of mystery. I’ll definitely be looking forward to the audios as they release. Full cast of narrators, including Teddy Hamilton… all the narrators killed it. (only exception was one kept saying harbingers with a hard g which annoyed me)

4.5 stars ⭐️ If I had to describe Psycho Shifters in one word, it would be addicting. I could not stop reading it!! Go into it with an open mind and I promise you’ll enjoy it!
What to expect:
✨why choose romance
✨morally grey characters
✨enemies to lovers
Mollie Stark, Jaime Lincoln Smith, Teddy Hamilton, and Jeremy York absolutely delivered on the duet narration style. I highly recommend the audiobook for Psycho Shifters!
Thank you to NetGalley and Harlequin Audio for the ARC. All opinions are my own 🫶🏼

3.25
I was sooooo looking forward to this but I guess it might have been a case of ’just not quite right for me’.
I liked the premise and the way the FMC found her way into the story. The plot and how it progressed are promising and worked well, the twists made for an intriguing foundation for whatever comes next.
The FMC herself was a well sketched character per se and I could see myself fall in love with at least two of the three MMCs and understand the third needs an intense character development… To no one’s surprise, Cobra was on top of that list, that jewels-in-the-skin detail was pretty cool and I don't think I’ve seen something like this before.
However…
There were a couple things that didn’t work for me personally.
First of all, I do like an assertive, strong FMC and I do understand that an FMC growing up like she did might come with some internalised misogyny.
This was just a bit much for me though and I struggled with being ok with it as part of her character. (Sure, this was only book one so I don't know if she gets that development in the next one, so I’m obviously speaking for Psycho Shifters only.)
And I don't think I’ve ever read the term ‘little bitch’ that often in one book…
The other big struggle for me: While I know there are people who don’t mind, personally, I very much struggled with one of the MMCs sexual activities with other women which is one of few things that can trigger me.
Sadly, these things made it a bit difficult for me to fully immerse myself in the book and I kept being yanked out of it.
The writing aligned well with the vibe, even though some of the direct speech felt a bit unnatural to me.
One MAJOR plus point for this book was the narration. Mollie Stark crushed her interpretation of Sadie in my opinion, the raspy voice and emotions were perfect! I also very much loved the choice of Teddy narrating Cobra.
Psycho Shifters was a quick and easy read with an intriguing plot and enticing relationship dynamics. The narration is amazing and definitely does a lot for the book in my opinion and although I had my issues with the book itself, I see how this might very well be a here-for-the-vibes kind of read and why many love it.
Thank you to NetGalley, Harlequin Audio and Jasmine Mas for an ALC of this book

Thank you Harlequin Audio for the ALC!
Sadie walked so Alexis could run.
So I listened to this one after Blood of Hercules, and Sadie feels like a toned down version of Alexis, who I love with my whole heart. I definitely think I would have loved her more if I hadn’t met Alexis yet!
But it’s a very funny and well casted book—Sadie’s monologue had me ROLLING, the MMCs are just 🥵🥵. I LOVED this selection of narrators and highly recommend listening to it if you’re an audiobook fan.
This is also a great intro to Omegaverse, because it’s part of the plot without being overwhelming and over the top. I can’t wait to listen to the next one when it drops.

I’ve got to be honest—the more I read Jasmine Mas, the more I realize she just might not be for me. I hate to leave it at that, but I’m struggling to find much else to say. Her books all tend to feel like the same story in different packaging, and while I know she has a loyal fanbase, I just don’t think I’m part of it.

I LOVED LOVED LOVED this!! I had the best time reading it and it was the most fun I had in a while. It’s the chaotic-ness of ZA but campy, modern and so fun. Sadie is hilarious as an FMC and might be one of my favorite ones. She’s just so real about her abilities and her sexuality.

What does Jasmine Mas put in her books? I loved the e-arc but the audiobook was even better. The narrator gives life to the characters in the perfect way.
