I read this and listened with audiobook! the narrators are phenomenal and perfect for this story!! Talk about Alpha energy! This book is full of male and female alpha energy! Sadie has an amazing Alpha personality! She is strong regardless of her harsh history! Jump in and Meet Sadie, Jax, Ascher, and Cobra and enjoy the wild ride. the banter is fun the mystery and suspense surrounding them will keep you reading. don't forget the cliffhanger at the end, you will want to jump straight into the next. I know I do!

this reminded my of Zodiac Academy in the best wayssss. @harlequinbooks was generous enough to allow me to listen to this one and I ate. it. UP. I know I’m late to the game with this one cuz I believe it’s been out at least in ebook for a while but it’s my fav kinda why choose. An enemies to lovers, damage characters, slow burrrn why choose. Our fmc has had a rough life and she’s taken/saved (may differ which character you ask lol) and joins almost an uprising group of Alphas. I loved the full cast audio. It makes differentiating the different characters so easy and makes so easy listening. I definitely will be continuing this series when I get the chance.

If you loved Blood of Hercules as much as I did, you’ll love this book too!
Reverse harem
Funny FMC
Shifters & alphas
Reluctant allies
Plot twists
Sadie had me laughing constantly & the narrators did an amazing job! I love duet style narrations & this one delivered. I can’t wait for book 2 to be released on audio. Jasmine Mas has officially become a must buy author for me!

A Gritty, Genre-Bending Reverse Harem with Layers of Trauma, Power, and Rebellion

In this dark paranormal romance, the reader is drawn into a brutal and highly stratified shifter society where power—both physical and political—is inescapably tied to biology. At the center is Sadie, a null shifter enslaved from childhood by a sadistic Beta named Dick. The early chapters tread familiar territory for dystopian fantasy—abuse, servitude, and a hope for freedom—but the emotional stakes are intensified by the brutal specificity of Sadie’s endurance. Her resilience doesn’t come from romanticized strength but from raw survival. Her ability to dissociate into a near-unfeeling state during trauma isn’t just a coping mechanism—it becomes her weapon.
The plot hinges on a revelation central to the book’s world-building: a mystical lake that biologically “tests” individuals to determine their true standing in the ABO hierarchy (Alpha, Beta, Omega). This moment catalyzes a major shift in Sadie’s arc. Despite her scars—both literal and social—she is revealed to be the first female Alpha, shattering gendered assumptions within the rigid societal order. This twist effectively subverts the reader’s and characters’ expectations, recontextualizing Sadie’s suffering as both a mask and a misclassification.
The world-building is ambitious, if occasionally underexplained. The presence of portals to human and fae realms, a magical lake imbued with fae enchantment, and an ABO-based militarized caste system suggest a convergence of dystopian structure and high fantasy elements. The tiers—from nulls to Betas to immortal Alphas and rare Omegas—create a commentary on caste, breeding, and autonomy. While these elements could become overwhelming, the narrative stays grounded through Sadie’s perspective, keeping the stakes personal.
Her three romantic counterparts—Jax, Ascher, and Cobra—add complexity to the emotional landscape. Rather than serving as one-note protectors or fantasy wish fulfillment, each man grapples with his own trauma and conflicting loyalties:
• Cobra, emotionally shut down due to past betrayal and fae captivity, is the most compelling. His reluctant bond with Sadie subverts his vow of silence.
• Ascher, entangled in shifter mafia politics and burdened by generational expectations, struggles with identity and inherited duty.
• Jax is the enigmatic leader, though less developed than the others—a missed opportunity that might be expanded in future installments.
Notably, the romance builds more on mutual recognition of brokenness than on instant chemistry. That emotional restraint fits the tone of the book but might leave readers craving deeper interpersonal connection and a more gradual unfolding of intimacy.
Narrative Structure and Cliffhanger Execution: The book ends on a sharp cliffhanger—a choice that may frustrate readers expecting a standalone arc. Titles of the following books offer little warning, which impacts reader satisfaction. Still, the narrative momentum is strong, and the political intrigue hints at greater developments to come. Readers intrigued by rebellion, shifting alliances, and female empowerment will likely continue.
Audiobook Performance: The duet-style narration is a highlight. Mollie Stark’s portrayal of Sadie captures her raspy vulnerability, while the male narrators—especially Teddy Hamilton and Jeremy York—anchor the trio’s emotional authenticity. The use of four narrators lends dimensionality to a genre that often suffers from a lack of vocal distinction. For fans of reverse harem dynamics, this choice elevates the immersive quality of the listening experience.

“Psycho Shifters” by Jasmine Mas is like indulging in a triple-chocolate cake that you know is bad for you and will offer no nutritional value but you eat it anyway. The story is very over-the-top and fun. It does not take itself too seriously. Mas does a good job writing funny female leads. I couldn’t get into the reverse Harlem story-line and didn’t think any of the MMCs deserved her. It was very lust-forward which is not my style but I know many people love this style of bully-romance.. Fans of Mas' other book, Blood of Hercules, and readers of The Ruthless Boys of the Zodiac will want to add this to their TBR. The narrators did an excellent job bringing the characters to life.
Thank you to NetGallery and Harlequin Audio for an advanced copy of this audiobook in exchange for my honest review.

Psycho Shifters by Jasmine Mas was such a fun listen! All the narrators, Mollie Stark, Jaime Lincoln Smith, Teddy Hamilton, Jeremy York, did an absolutely FANTASTIC job of bringing the characters to life and a new level of entertainment to an audiobook I haven't seen before. The snark and banter in this one is sooo strong, I loved every minute of it, and I can't wait for the rest of the series to come out in audio! The plot, world-building, magics, and characters were all done so well (Cobra was definitely my favorite). I'm starting to get into shifter and omegaverse books, and this one was an excellent choice to pick up. I can't wait to see where the rest of the series leads Sadie and the crew!

I do believe that Jasmine Mas is now an auto buy author for me. I have read Blood of Hercules and absolutely loved it. Psycho Shifters is no exception. I like to know going into a romantasy book if it is going to be spicy, and this one said it was. I was a bit hesitant because the spice can get in the way of the plot lines. This book, however, completely allowed for the spice while the plot continued to make you want to read more and learn about the world. I love a strong FMC and Sadie was amazing. I love when we don't have a main character's complete backstory because it lends itself to the FMC being something more interesting than a mere human. Especially since this book left us wanting to know more, I will absolutely be reading the next book!

I went into this book completely blind. And now I need to have the second book. The audio narration is full cast and was just perfect. The storyline is very interesting and unique, which kept me engaged the entire time. This is a why choose book with one FMC and three MMCs in a MMMF way that I didn’t see coming. But I completely loved it because in my opinion it helped understand the dynamic between the three MMCs and the FMC. The spice level is at about 3 🌶️ in my opinion and well written. Overall it’s a 5 ⭐️ read for me, especially with that plot twist at the ending.

I fell in love with this series last year when it was still indie, and experiencing it now as a full-cast audiobook has only deepened that obsession. The story is just as gripping and addictive as I remember, but the narration takes it to a whole new level.
Teddy Hamilton—my go-to audiobook narrator crush—delivers as always, and the cast-style performance breathes fresh energy into every character and scene. The emotions hit harder, the tension feels sharper, and I was completely hooked all over again.
This is exactly how an audiobook adaptation should be done. I’m already counting down the days until book two releases!

Thank you for this audiobook. I was actually approved after this was released. So I did end up using an audible credit for it.
I just have to say anything with Teddy Hamilton is a 10/10 for me.
Overall I didn’t love this book as much as I thought I was going to. BUT I had a great time while listening. I think I loved it more than I would have because I listened to it. It was funny and had me laughing throughout the whole thing.
I would recommend, I just personally don’t love the omegaverse.

The audio of this book is great. All narrators did a great job. The story was interesting and the fmc is funny and I appreciate the random quirks and remarks she made through story. I wish the story had a little more building to it. We seemed to be going from one thing to another and it didn’t quite all connect, but it still held my attention. The ending was pretty wild. I wish the next audiobook wasn’t set for release 6 months away

Thank you to Harlequin Audio and NetGalley for the ALC!
4.5/5 for the story and 5/5 for the audio itself
I have previously read the Cruel Shifterverse series while indie published and absolutely devoured it. In classic Jasmine Mas fashion it is unhinged, fast paced, and sucks you in. This audio made the reading experience even better. The narration on all fronts conveyed the emotions and dynamics of the characters so well and brought the Psycho Shifters story to life. I originally binged these books in a single week and I can confidently say that if all the audio books were available, I'd do the same again but even faster. While I can fully understand that Jasmine Mas's writing may not be for everyone, if you DO enjoy her books then you absolutely MUST give the audio a listen.

⭐️⭐️
I really wanted to love this—especially since I’m usually all in when it comes to reverse harem and dark bully romance. And I loved the narration choices! Teddy Hamilton and the rest of the cast did a great job with the material they were given. But unfortunately, the story itself just didn’t deliver for me.
The plot felt incredibly thin, and not a whole lot actually happened. I kept waiting for something deeper to hook me in, but it never came. I’m guessing this book is more of a setup for the rest of the series, but as a standalone, it dragged. I also didn’t feel any real connection to the characters, which made it hard to stay engaged. I may get to book 2 to see if it gets any better but it won’t be high on my TBR.
Even with top-tier narration, I need more substance in the storyline to stay invested. This one just missed the mark.

I loved this audiobook so much. The characters were really brought life, and I loved the multi-narrator format!
One thing to note is that the narration script differs slightly from the printed book, so that made it difficult to read along with the audio. For folks who do not read that way, this won't be an issue, but for those who enjoy reading and listening together, it's something to be aware of.
In this book, we have Sadie. A servant who is whisked away to be tested, found to be an alpha, and plopped directly into an outpost to begin her duties. While there, she ends up sharing a room with three alpha males, alongside whom she must fight and train, despite their less than welcoming personalities.
This is a slow-burn, spicy, reverse harem, dark paranormal bully romance that takes place in the omegaverse. If you're like me and that's what you're in to, you will LOVE this book.

Thank you Netgalley and Harlequinn Audio for an audiobook copy of this book!
If you’re looking for something fun, laugh out loud dialogue, and a book you can consider as a guilty pleasure, I definitely recommend any book by Jasmine Mas. Her writing, characters, and the slow burn between the characters will have you addicted. Once I started the audiobook, I could not stop it.
Some elements of the book that worked for me were some of the characters, snarky dialogue, and the narrators. Sadie was a fun FMC to have. Some of her thoughts as she started to train were so relatable (especially the hatred for running). While our MMCs were very different from one another, they had you wanting to know more about them. Not only is it a duet-like narration, the narrators did an amazing job bringing these characters to life. Also I will shamelessly admit that I will be more motivated to listen to an audiobook knowing that Teddy Hamilton is one of the narrators.
I did find myself wanting more out of the plot. The book leaves you with a lot of unanswered questions to where you want to pick up book 2. I found some of the characters actions and thoughts to be a bit repetitive or uncalled for. As a reader, you can only hear about the fmc being called short so many times in a chapter.
Overall, this was fun, trashy, and addicting. I will definitely be continuing on with this series!

I was able to listen to this as an audio. I love this book. I have read and listened to it multiple times. Miss Mas. Has a way with writing her characters, especially the unhinged ones that we love.
I like the newest audio version because it’s “duet“ style so each of our main characters have their own voice, and it brings a story more to life that way.
Following Sadie’s journey to her new life and the twist and turns go with that, especially coming from such a dark background. And then the guys trying to save her when she’s been saving herself for years. She does appreciate the help now, but she can do it on her own

Well, this was different lol and I did have fun!
This book might not be for everyone though..
if you don't like a lot of spice.. this book wouldn't be for you
If same sex interactions aren't your teabag, this isn't for u
If you like a lot of world building & deep character development you're probably not going to like it here
With those things being said.. I think this book would be a great read for
original content fantasy lovers
If you like reverse harem, you'll like it here
If you like smut, you'll want to rent an apartment here
I wasn't 100% sure I was going to love this myself in the beginning. I usually don't care how dramatic the fantasy or sex is in a story as long as there's an equally great plot. It just took a hot second for the plot to really enter the same room as us. But she did come and when she did , it was pretty great lol.. I would definitely recommend this to my people that love fantasy, originality, and smut. I will also be continuing this series myself.. I think this author has a beautiful imagination & you definitely have to have an open mind to appreciate her work.
🌟3.5 rounded down🌟

absolutely devoured this book in one day and had such a good time listening to it. The whole narration cast deserves awards! The humor was top notch and I did notice that there were some changes made from the indie version of the book that I think really help this story be a bit more likable. I liked that they didn’t describe the fmc as small and frail repetively like they did in the indie version.

BOOK REVIEW ✨️
Okay, let’s be real—Jasmine Mas never misses when it comes to banter, and this book is no exception. The audiobook? Top. Tier. 💜 The performance elevates every wild twist and sarcastic comeback. The smut? Surprisingly spicy and perfectly timed. 👌🏼
Follow Sadie as she takes on three unhinged alpha shifters in a dark, paranormal, reverse harem, bully romance that’s chaotic in the best way. If you're into wild twists, feral men, and sharp-tongued heroines, this one’s for
Why did it end like THAT tho?! 😩

I absolutely loved the narration team as I believe they truly imbodied how I imagined these characters to be reading this invoked all of my emotions and that’s how I know that a book will be a favorite for me and this is no different and I loved how you included a glimpse into the next book that will have us anticipating the next release or I know at least I will and I’ll also highly recommend this to others!
