TYSM for this ALC! The narration was 5 stars - I loved the full cast narration.
I enjoyed the story overall, you have a FMC who is unaware of who she really is (this is also what knocked it down because she did the same thing in BOH) and then gets thrown into the alpha world. I enjoyed the build up, the tension, and how the answers started slowly piecing together. I am definitely excited to continue this series because you are left on a cliff hanger after a major betrayal. PLUS the included glimpse of the first chapter in the next book hooked me immediately!

Phenomenal performance! The narrators knocked this one out of the park! This is only my second book by this author, but I can see her works becoming a fast favorite.
What I love most about this book are the strong characters and dynamics of that various relationships. Sadie has been through so many trials in her young life. To see how resilient she remains is a treat.
Hidden identity is SO my jam. I loved the unveiled secrets at the end of the book.
What girl wouldn’t want multiple psycho shifters obsessed with her? I’d sign up for that in a heartbeat. Each of the guys has a unique storyline and I can’t wait to uncover more about them.
The series is completely bingeable. I cannot wait to continue with the next book in series.
If you’re a fan of why choose romance, omegaverse, witty banter, and aren’t squeamish, I highly recommend this series!

My orginal review of this book was 2 stars. Decided to give it another try when I was given the opportunity to listen to the audio. I still find myself agreeing with my orginal review that the storyline itself is lackluster and not overly entertaining. The audio however is what gives it 3 stars. The narrators did a fanstatic job conveying the difference characters.

I wanted to like this, but I didn’t realize it was a why choose and still gave it a chance. The first spicy scene came and I just wasn’t about it. There were a few cliches in there aside from this that made me DNF at 37%. The narrators were great just wasn’t the plot for me.

This audiobook was absolutely amazing. I love that there is a different voice for each character. It makes the listening experience so much better. The story telling and world building really sucked me into the story. I adore a headstrong badass female main character. There is tension with the male characters and some yearning. The story telling is smooth and you get different POVs which is my personal favorite to line everything up. I will definitely be getting the next book, hopefully on audio as well.

ALC Audiobook Non-Spoiler Review 🎧
Psycho Shifters is book one of six in the Cruel Shiftverse series and ends on a cliffhanger. The romantasy genre is a hit-or-miss for me, when it comes to books and this one was a bit different. I liked it… but I did not love it, like I assumed. This particular title has flooded my SM feeds recently so I folded and requested the ALC. When I was approved, I dove in the same day. Two of my favorite narrators, Teddy Hamilton and Mollie Stark were a part of the multicast of voice actors, so I had high expectations. I will say, the narration was great and told from multiple POV’s. Jamie Lincoln Smith and Jeremy York were both new to me, but I enjoyed their performances.
This book had some dark aspects in the plot and I felt bad for the FMC. She has literally spent her entire life being abused by Dick, a person, not the appendage. I say that because every time Sadie mentioned Dick, I assumed it was the body part. In my defense, it fit the narrative 😂 It was comical to me. Based on the title of this book, I assumed I was going to see some unhinged Alpha Shifters, however for me, that didn’t happen. I’ve read about some seriously unhinged characters so maybe it’s me, but this kind of fell flat IMO.
I did respect and like Sadie, the FMC. Even though she was abused and bullied, she was a fighter and never gave up. She gave just as much as she received. Her inner monologue was priceless and had me giggling a time of two.
Thank you Harlequin Publishing for the ALC via NetGalley

3.75⭐️ This was an addictive read. Sadie is a shifter that is unaware of her abilities until she is tested. After she finds out what she is, she is taken to be trained with other shifters including 3 handsome alphas. If you like omegaverse and shifters, then this will be the book for you. I love the author’s writing style and its addictive quality. I do feel this was very much a character driven storyline (Sadie’s internal monologue is great) and I feel the plot was a little lacking until right at the end when some things are revealed. Overall though, I really enjoyed it and plan to continue on with the series.

What a silly little traumatic time 🫶🏼 I was lucky enough to get an ALC from Net Galley and Harlequin Audio (thank youuuuu) and was trying to do a immersive read with the ebook, but there were too many subtle shifts in language that were completely distracting. So I tuned out of ebook and just let the full cast narration take me on a journey. All these characters are so flawed and I cannot wait to see where this story goes!

2.5⭐ (rounded up to 3⭐)
Thank you to HTP Hive for the ALC of this book!
Truthfully, I had higher hopes for this book as I thoroughly enjoyed the Blood of Hercules and its audiobook, but this left me wanting more. To start, I did enjoy the multiple point of views during a specific event. I think it brought a lot of dimension to the story, and the voice actors did such a great job bringing to life the tension that is so prominent in this book. In the beginning, it had a lot of promise and while I did enjoy the second half of the book more, I don't think I enjoyed it enough to continue the series.
For me, the pacing was off with this book. Like BH, we were dropped in the middle of the daily life of our main character, Sadie, and it hit the ground running, but due to the lack of worldbuilding, this didn't work as well for me this time around. What I did enjoy was the natural chemistry between Sadie and the Alphas in the story - it really helped me continue this book and not DNF.

The choices for the narration for this book was amazing. The combination of Mollie Stark,Teddy Hamilton, Jeremy York, and Jamie Lincoln Smith was fantastic. They truly know how to bring a story to life while listening to it.

This was my personal first time reading/listening to a shifter book of any kind and i will say i throughly enjoyed it! I loved the world building. The drama! The chaos! And most importantly the tennsionnnn!! That cliff hanger left my jaw on the floor and I can’t wait to get into the second book to get some answers!! I love how funny Jasmine Mas makes her fmcs!!
The audio was so well done and the narrators made me fall in love with the characters! All of their voices together made for a very enjoyable listen!
Thank you NetGalley for the ALC

I felt like the first half of the story was very slow to pick up but once it did it hooked me enough to make me want to come back for book 2. Sadie is strong, sassy & a new first time female alpha learning from this group of alpha shifters. While her upbringing was not pleasant, she escaped and with the help of these new alpha men, she will learn to become strong. While I did enjoy the dynamic, I also wanted more from it. Cobra was definitely the alpha of all alphas and an obvious fave. I enjoyed the uniqueness of having multiple shifter men and the dynamic of the enemies to lovers tension it built. The narrator's did an amazing job and can't wait to see what the second book brings.

Loveeee the narrator’s for this book! Super interesting story so far and I really wish I could transform into a badass sabertooth tiger. I also wouldn’t mind 2 alphas or even 3 but f Asher rn

What a fun book to listen to on audio! I loved Sadie’s (our FMC) sassy personality and how she stands up for herself throughout the story. Sadie and her sister are orphans who were abandoned at Dick’s tavern when they were young. Throughout Sadie’s childhood, she was often physically abused by Dick, who had never liked her. On Sadie’s 20th birthday, she’s taken away to be tested and discovers that she’s the first female Alpha. Forced to train in a secluded area with other Alphas to prepare for a war against the fae queen—who wants to take over the shifters’ land—Sadie immediately catches the attention of the three most powerful male Alphas in the compound. As training progresses, feelings develop, and secrets unravel, leading to an unexpected ending to book one.
Sadie reminds me of Alexis from Jasmine Mas’ other book, Blood of Hercules, but she’s a little less… unhinged?! Overall, I really enjoyed the audiobook especially with the multiple POVs and voice actors! Highly recommend if you love:
Paranormal/Shifters romance
Slow burn romance
Omegaverse
Reverse harem/Why choose
Female rage
Multiple POVs
Some trigger warnings:
Physical abuse
Sexual abuse
Graphic details

I finished this ALC in one day, it was so good! I don’t typically read too many why choose romances bc it’s hard for me to keep up with so many main characters and POVs, but this audiobook made it so easy to be able to distinguish each of our MCs. Teddy Hamilton was *chef’s kiss* as Cobra. I loved the female narrator, she did an amazing job portraying Sadie’s many emotions and I had a lot of fun.
I loved Sadie’s character, she had an insanely rough childhood and reading those first chapters was heartbreaking. There was a lot of action all throughout the book and I was thoroughly entertained. Each of our mmc’s were very different which I loved. My fave was Ascher (what can I say I love a good a-hole) and was shocked at the end.
I can’t wait for the next audiobook, the plot was great and I’m so excited to see where the story goes from here!

I've been eyeing this series for so long- so with the beautiful new cover and the new audio performances, and my new obsession with omegaverse, I had to dive in at long last. This book completely hooked me—an irresistible “why choose” fantasy meets pseudo-omegaverse (more shifter but it's labelled as omegaverse) romance with a strong heroine, a unique world, and a slow-burn setup that had me flipping pages late into the night. The fantasy is accessible, the tension is high and the slow burn, and the characters are alluring. Definitely a great series starter.
Sadie has spent her life being mistreated, working as a servant under the cruel thumb of a Beta who’s made it his mission to keep her down. But everything changes the day she’s tested and it’s revealed she’s not just any shifter—she’s an Alpha. Suddenly, her world is turned upside down as she’s dropped into Portal #3, a training compound designed to prepare elite shifters for the war against the Fae Queen. Now, Sadie’s dealing with far more than just survival. She’s thrown into brutal training sessions, forced to navigate a hierarchy she doesn’t fully understand, and—most importantly—she’s living with three dangerously attractive, emotionally complicated Alpha shifters who are supposed to be helping her hone her powers. Spoiler alert: feelings get messy fast.
Sadie is a such a great heroine- she's the perfect balance of the kick-a heroine people love with real vulnerabilities too. She’s fierce, sarcastic, and carries the kind of strength that comes from surviving a lot of abuse and refusing to be broken. But she struggles too—some moments of darkness and self-doubt. But she's also done taking orders, done playing nice, and her bold attitude (plus her hilariously sharp tongue) makes her an absolutely riveting leading lady and the center of his story.
The dynamic between her and the three Alphas is explosive—in every sense. They’re standoffish, mercurial, hostile even. But underneath that tension is a slow-burning connection that’s only just beginning to unfold. Thisisn’t an insta-love story. It’s a true slow burn. Which I don't always love, but here it really works for these characters. We invest in THEM first before we start to understand their dynamic. The attraction is undeniable though, but so are the emotional walls and power struggles between. That tension? Delicious.
The guys—especially Jax and Cobra—are layered and alluring. There are hints of existing relationships (Cobra and Jax are romantically involved, which adds a polyamorous angle that is full of potential. Not sure if that will be explored more or if this will be more of a heroine centered why choose story, but either way their relationships are all interesting. The spice we have is great, but we don't have a TON- mild for what I expected, but I think we're just scratching the surface of what's to come. Hoping that both the spice AND the emotional connection continue to evolve.
There is a cliffhanger that has be coming back for more, and I did enjoy Jasmine's writing overall. There are some repetitive tendencies in the prose, but the world building is good, works well for a more "fantasy light" reader like me, and the characters are the focal point and very compelling created. Plus, the mystery around each character’s backstory left me desperate for more about them all. I need book two!
And listen- this audio SERVES. Duet style full cast narration is legit the most luxurious immersive reading experience ever, and I was pretty feral for the new audio! Narrated by Mollie Stark, Jaime Lincoln Smith, Teddy Hamilton, and Jeremy York, this audio is fantastic and definitely my recommended way to consume this. Mollie brings all of the fantastic nuances of Sadie's character- the strength, the sass, the vulnerability, the refuses to break bravado. And the male narrators? Legit melt my heart they are so delicious. Edgey, firey, full of passion and mystery and grit and allure. So much charisma in each one. I'd not listened to Jaime before and really loved him, and Teddy and Jeremy always deliver. A fantastic and addictive listen.

ALC REVIEW
Lemme tell you something. I had to roll myself into grass because of how HOT two of the MMCs were. Oh my lawwwddd. Their relationship is beautiful and HOT AF. Like ummm I was barking......and on my knees. Again I have no shame. That scene was just 🤌, and of course with Jasmine Mas it's going to be a pretty slow burn. Nothing truly happened between the MCs. Not yet, at least heheheheheheheeheheh.
I also really liked Sadie's inner monologue, Jasmine Mas does a really good job with it. As much as I did like the inner monologue, I would have liked more character interactions with all of the characters in the book. I felt we didnt get much friendship between Sadie and Aran. I would have liked it alot. I hope in the next books we get more of it as well as the MMCs.
The narrators did such a PHEMONENAL JOB, like yesss. Y'all already know about Teddy Hamilton, one of the god tier male voices out in the industry. Jeremy York also did a good job. I don't think i listen to much of his books? (don't quote me on it) same for Jaime Lincoln Smith. Mollie Stark was hilarious for the FMC, i loved it. She narrates for The Legends of Thezmarr Series by Helen Scheuerer, and all I hear each and every word of Mollie is Althea saying "SHIELD WALL"
I received the ALC through Netgallery by Harlequin Audio. This review is my true and honest thoughts.

✨🎧 ARC Audio Review – Psycho Shifters by Jasmine Mas
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (feral, filthy, and completely unhinged—in the BEST way)
This book? OWNED me. The audio version is chef’s kiss—dual narration + dual POVs = every growl, every feral thought, every possessive snarl feels like it’s happening right against your skin.
Sadie is my favorite kind of FMC—pretending to be sweet while secretly just as feral as the alphas circling her. And those alphas? Jax, Cobra, and Asher are three completely different flavors of dangerous obsession!
The tension is TORTURE—in the best way. The closet scene? That alone earned this book 5 stars.
And then… THE chaos, it’s heartbreaking, and it ends on a cliffhanger that made me want to throw my phone and beg for book two immediately. This is 1/6x
If you love:
✔️ Obsessive, possessive alphas
✔️ Slow-burn tension that DESTROYS you
✔️ Feral heat & primal claiming
✔️ Morally grey betrayal & fae intrigue
…then you NEED this book. But brace yourself—these shifters aren’t just psycho. They’ll make you psycho for them, too.
🎧 Audio note: 1000% worth it for the dual narration—seriously, let these narrators ruin you. Narrated by Mollie Stark, Jaime Lincoln Smith, Teddy Hamilton and Jeremy York.
Available on Audible and Kindle Unlimited
Thank you @netgalley and @jasminemas for the opportunity to listen to this arc

LISTEN TO ME. This full cast audio?? It devoured me. I am no longer a person, I am just a vessel for Sadie and her chaos. This tiny female alpha walked in, got bullied by some arrogant Alphas, and said try me, btches* AND THEY DID. AND SHE ATE THEM FOR BREAKFAST.
Sadie is the queen of underestimated energy. She’s small, she’s savage, she’s the moment. And the Alphas?? Yeah, they were jerks until they weren’t. Now they’re simping hard and I am HERE for the groveling and the slow descent into obsession.
I’m emotionally unwell and foaming at the mouth waiting for the next one. SEND HELP (but actually don’t…I like it here).

Sadie grew up indentured to a physically abusive master. Her only thought was to protect her younger sister, so she took all the abuse he gave. All while hiding her secret powers, fearing an even worse fate if she was revealed a freak. But finally, the right people recognized her power and took her away from her hell to properly test and train her. Is it possible that she’s really an Alpha? The same as the humongous jeweled and horned beasts she’s training with?
This was a fast-paced, action-packed fantasy thriller full of very spicy spice! I’m looking forward to the next one in this series, which is available for free with #KindleUnlimited.
The audiobook was exceptionally good with a full cast of narrators. I highly recommend listening to this one.
