This insightful and compassionate guide blends practical advice with psychological depth, using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help individuals struggling with clutter and hoarding. Rather than focusing solely on decluttering techniques, the authors explore the emotional and cognitive patterns behind hoarding behavior, encouraging readers to align their actions with personal values.

The book is accessible and empathetic, offering exercises, case examples, and mindfulness practices that empower readers to make meaningful changes at their own pace. It's especially valuable for those who feel overwhelmed by traditional organizing approaches and are looking for a more thoughtful, evidence-based path to change.

Overall, Making Space for What Matters is a supportive and transformative resource—not just about cleaning up, but about reclaiming one’s life.

I found the subject matter of this book interesting. I felt that there were some helpful points made but I also some of the advice kind of out there. The therapy approaches are pretty unfamiliar to me and I think that could have been explained better
