What a way to get the series over and tangled. The world was fascinating and thrilling. Is it the end or will there be more for sure, let’s see what happens.

This preview was just what I needed to get me ready for the third installment of the Five Broken Blades series. I'm looking forward to reading it in full!

Oh my heart </3 I love all of these characters so much and the ending of four ruined realms actually CRUSHED me. Reading this hurt so much but it hurt so good! I think about the blades all the time and they will be in my heart forever.

This was one of the most well-written and intriguing book series that I have read so far. The characters, the settings, the plot, the plot twists, it was all very well done. Now on to this book in particular, This book wrapped up everything in the two previous books perfectly. We had sad moments and happy moments, as well as outcomes that I never even saw coming. The found family in this book was my favorite aspect as six seemingly random individuals come together to go on an adventure of a lifetime as well as follow what they believe in the right path.

I absolutely love this series and was so excited to read this preview of the final book. These characters have been through so much together and I love seeing how their relationships have grown and changed throughout the series. Thanks so much to NetGalley and the publisher for this preview.

A thrilling end to an amazing series. This is the third book in the series so ensure you read the other two first. Mai is an incredible writer.

Why is this one done... this series was just so well-articulated and created. Mai Corland did such a wonderful job bring this story to life, and I am sad that it is done.

For this book I loved that it continued in the character development and that they continued to grow from the beginning of the story. The emotions that they gave was amazing. These characters were next level as they were complex and well written. Just look and where they started and how far they came.

There was action and emotion.... oh so many tears but that's what I love about fantasy the action and the emotion that is shown in a story. I cannot believe it is done. But this was such a great series... you should 100% pick it up!

This has been such a great series by Mai Corland! I will say, Five Broken Blades was by far my favorite of the series, but this one was still captured my attention and kept me wanting to know what was going to happen as the story continued.

When I first started this series, I really wasn’t sure how I was going to like the fact that there are soooo many POVs, but you really get to know and love each of the characters. The chapters aren’t overwhelming either. I love that this whole series has really been about found family despite the betrayal and lies. Forgiveness is also a huge theme throughout the series.

Although this series isn’t your typical fantasy and honestly could even be considered borderline in the genre, it’s a series I think fantasy readers would enjoy.

I really enjoy how Mai Corland ended the whole series. You’re left shattered by certain loss, but also happy how things turned out despite the circumstances.

If you’re looking for a fast paced, move from one book directly into the next series, this is a great one to read.

Love the first couple chapters. I can’t wait to read the rest! The character development I know is already going to progress even more and maybe we’ll finally see Royo and Aeri get the ending they so desperately deserve!

I have really enjoyed this series. Reeling from the heartbreak of the last book, I know I went into This one emotional. Now seeing how the loss pertains to the whole story, I understand better. I enjoyed the multiple POV aspect and the short chapters. The characters will stay with me. I liked and disliked the ending of this trilogy. Felt fitting for the series, but the open ended aspect just doesn't feel the best.

Mai Corland wrote such an amazing story and this book was the (almost) perfect ending to it. There was joy and sadness, love and heartbreak, and quite an adventure was had. Each plotline was wrapped up perfectly, and I feel like there's so space for a novella or even possibly a fourth book (crossing fingers for either!).

First I would like to thank NetGalley and Entangled: Red Tower Books for the chance to read this Preview of Three Shattered Souls.

I started reading this series a while ago and I have to say that the first three chapters of this book do not disappoint. This series has you wondering what is going to happen all the time with no chance of guessing. I am looking forward to reading the full conclusion of this series. This taste definitely left me wanting more

What an absolutely brutal but beautiful finale. I’ve been invested in this trilogy from the very first book, but this one hit different—it ripped me apart and still managed to stitch me back together with hope.

The story picks up right where book two left us hanging, and it wastes no time throwing you back into the chaos. One of my favorite things about Mai Corland’s writing is how each character’s voice stays distinct. Royo’s bone-dry humor in the worst situations, Sora’s stubborn optimism—it all feels so natural and layered. These aren’t just characters on a page anymore; they feel like people I’ve lived alongside, flaws and all.

The pacing is sharp without losing the quieter, emotional beats. The action scenes? Cinematic. They crash through the story like waves, but in between you get those softer moments of banter, grief, and loyalty that make everything land harder. And the multiple POVs add so much depth—you’re not just watching the story unfold, you’re living it through different perspectives.

Mai Corland doesn’t pull any punches here. The betrayals sting, the losses cut deep, but the bonds between this ragtag group kept me turning pages with my heart in my throat. By the end, I was equal parts shattered and strangely hopeful—a perfect sendoff for a series that’s been nothing short of unforgettable.

This preview is so good! I'm excited to see if Gambria is really trustworthy, and for how long will Mikhail keep his secret from Sora. I have to read the whole book ☺️

My heart! After the second book I was a little on the fence is whether or not rest this, but I'm so glad I did! The pacing was a little off and it felt like it took a while for the story to really move, but when it did, IT DID!

Chapters 1-3 preview: the story picks up right where Four Ruined Realms left off, and the group is ready for more adventures and fighting their way to the throne.

4.5 ⭐️

This trilogy finished really strong! The characters were fully fleshed out, the world-building was complete, the lore was magical, the twists were brilliant, and the deceptions came so often that you never knew who the traitor was at any given moment. I loved the ending, where the characters finished the story, and the setup for a spin-off. This is a series I plan to revisit sometime, reading every book back to back so I don’t lose any of the details along the way and can really appreciate the journey of every character.

The audiobook narration was really good. With so many POVs, having them all voiced by different narrators is imperative to know whose head you’re in, and I’m glad they continued to do that through all three books. I do wish that they all agreed on pronunciation of names before recording though, because even the main characters’ names were pronounced differently by each narrator.

Thanks to NetGalley, Entangled, and Red Tower Books for the preview ARC (chapters 1-3) of this book in exchange for my honest review! I bought it with my own money to finish it out after the preview was done.

It is so nice to read a completed trilogy! I just binged all 3 books in about 10 days. I am now obsessed with Mai Cortland’s writing and how well she developed these main characters, with their secrets and their motivations all making perfect sense by the third book.

This found family has come so far from their early days of distrusting each other. Aeri and Royo are my favorite because they cracked me up so much, but I really love every one of these characters. But not as much as they love each other omg 🥹.

Three Shattered Souls was an epic and beautiful ending. Only problem is the name. There aren’t just 3, because that count doesn’t include me 😭 💔
