I received a free copy from NetGalley. I did not read the other book first and thought I did okay without it. The story is a good reminder that actions have consequences.

Date is made up. I fell behind on reviews.

This is such a good series and I enjoyed this installment. The story flows and keeps the reader captivated. I loved the Appalachian setting and the scenes of Connor’s childhood.
Many thanks to BearCat Press and to NetGalley for providing me with a galley in exchange for my honest opinion.

I haven't read the first book in the series but it didn't matter too much. It is a fast paced, skilfully written story, lots of action, some violence and a deep secret.. Very readable.
