I really enjoyed this book. The romance, banter and plot were all amazing. I also enjoyed the bit of mystery that was involved in finding Jason’s dad and Levi’s brother. I sort of figured out where the story was going but the ending was so much better than I anticipated! I genuinely enjoyed reading Jason and Levi’s relationship grow throughout the story. Additionally, the final scene between Jason and his dad was so sweet and made me tear up. I would definitely recommend reading this book for anyone that enjoys romantasy and just wants an easy, enjoyable read.

Thank you to entangled publishing for providing me with the e-ARC. I look forward to reading more from this author.

First off, thank you to Entangled publishing and NetGalley for the arc. I am so grateful for the opportunity to do any arcs!

I had to DNF this one early on. While I always hold out hope for character growth, the main male character’s treatment of his parents in the opening pages really didn’t sit right with me. From what I could see, his parents seemed genuinely concerned for his well-being—even if they didn’t see eye to eye—and were met with immediate hostility. The line “you know what? F— you, Dad” was a bit too much for me, especially considering that younger readers might pick this up. I just couldn’t move past it. Especially when the next thought is, “I knew he’d be angry but not enough to cut me off.”

I can’t abide.

I really liked this book. The characters felt real and full of life, especially Levi, who was funny and flirty in the best way. The chemistry between Levi and Jason was obvious, and their banter kept me smiling throughout. I liked how their relationship grew slowly but naturally, with just the right amount of tension. The world was interesting and different from other paranormal stories I’ve read. There was a cool mystery that kept the story moving and made me want to keep turning pages. My only reason for giving four stars instead of five is that sometimes the pacing felt a bit slow in parts, but overall it was a very enjoyable read. I’m curious about what will happen next. Thank you so much to the author, Entangled Publishing and Netgalley for giving me the opportunity to read the book in advance, I received this for free and I'm leaving a honest review

Infernal Hearts is a cute paranormal thriller/romance with LGBTQ representation.

Jason Blackwell struggles with his family business of helping supernatural creatures, so he goes out on this own, only to be discovered by an incubus and dragged back into the dark side to try and find some missing people. This is part thriller and part romance because as Jason and Levi work together to try and find their missing father and brother, they of course fall in love.

This was cute - it felt like YA or NA. There was some spicy parts but nothing too graphic and the plot and writing style were a bit immature. The story was fun and easy to follow along. Overall, I enjoyed it.

ARC Review

Thank you Danny Haliwell, Entangled Publishing, and NetGalley for an advanced copy of this book.

I flew through this one. It was such an easy read. Levi made the story, in my opinion, with this quick comebacks and hilarious inner dialogue. I loved watching Levi pull Jason out of his shell. Our guy Jason, isn’t in a great place when Levi forces himself into Jason’s life, but the story develops nicely around their relationship.

Together, they work together to solve a double missing person’s case while being funny, flirty, and adorable. Jason is a magical doctor that no longer wants to help magical creature and Levi is one a magical creature (an Incubus) that requires medical attention. It’s quite harmonious.

Looking for something fun and quirky? This is

Infernal Hearts was very fun to read! I thought it would be dark and intense, I mean, look at that cover! While it has those moments, it mostly felt cozy and intriguing. From the moment I read the funny dedication, I knew I would like Danny’s writing style and I was not disappointed! I got attached to Jason right off the bat and while it took longer, Levi grew on me too. I found the storyline creative and because it didn’t feel like something I’ve read before, I loved being carried along for the ride! If you like books with queer rep, spicy paranormal romance and mystery, you have to try Infernal Hearts!

plot ⭐️3/5⭐️
spice 🌶️2/5🌶️

🥼 “infernal hearts” would honestly be a YA if there wasn’t spice, i feel as though the plot is relatively straight forward with not a lot of depth. i did enjoy all the different supernatural creatures throughout this book, as well as the dual point of views. levi was definitely my fave, he’s a sassy and flirty incubus so of course i’m signed up for that!

thank you entangled publishing for providing me with this arc, all opinions are my own!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ PURE MAGIC!

I absolutely loved this book! Levi’s character completely stole the show for me. He starts off as your typical sex-driven incubus, but watching his emotional journey unfold was everything. His development felt authentic and gradual, and I was totally hooked as he began to experience real feelings.

This spicy male/male romance had the perfect blend of steam, heart, and supernatural charm. The chemistry was off the charts, and the magical elements added such a fun and immersive twist. I laughed, I swooned, and I didn’t want it to end. If you’re looking for a swoony, fiery, and fantastical romance, Infernal Hearts is an absolute must-read!

Infernal Hearts was a pleasant surprise...a fast-paced, engaging read that kept me turning the pages all day. I ended up finishing it in one sitting, which says a lot about how easy it was to get swept up in the story.

The writing flows well, and the plot had enough twists and tension to hold my attention the whole way through. The world-building felt vivid, the stakes were clear, and the characters had depth, even if a few moments didn’t fully land for me. Still, there was a lot to enjoy, and I appreciated how it all came together by the end.

Overall, not quite a new favorite, but definitely an entertaining read that I’m glad I picked up. If you like dark fantasy with a strong emotional core, this one is worth a look.

What a delicious little queer supernatural romance/mystery snack.

Jason is a grumpy cinnamon roll and Levi is flirty sunshine and I loved the banter between these two. It was very sweet and heart warming.

I enjoyed the mystery and the ending was brilliant. I just wish there had been a little more of it to balance it out with the romance.

Overall a great read

Cute, quick mystery read with small town romcom vibes and a chaotic demon I couldn’t help but root for. Definitely reads like a debut—feels young for adult—but I was still entertained. Major bonus points for the “Fancy” reference!

The romance takes center stage, but I liked the mystery woven through it. Paranormal queer romance with just enough slow burn and spice to keep it interesting!

Infernal Hearts hooked me right away with its dark, twisty, and deliciously messy storyline. Seraphina’s reckless choice to bind herself to a demon prince—Cassian, who radiates danger and obsession—had me glued to the page. Every bad decision? I was here for it. Their connection builds at a slow burn that pays off in the most satisfying way once his walls start to crumble. The world felt vivid without ever being too much. The eerie beauty of the demon court, and the magic that’s all about control, power, and imbalance. The stakes weren’t just life-or-death—they hit right at the heart. Overall, I can't thank Entangled enough for the opportunity to check it out!

Thank you so very much to NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for the opportunity to read this incredible book.

I loved getting to know Levi, the Incubus, and Jason who seems to curiously have a bit of something extra himself.

Their teaming up was genius. The mystery surrounding the disappearance of Jason's Dad and Levi's brother grew more and more elusive with each page. I had it figured out before the end, but the finale was shocking.

The physical tension between Jason and Levi was so hot! The story was fast moving and capitaving. I read it in less than one day!

I highly recommended.

Five stars!

Infernal Hearts was dark, addicting, and just the right amount of morally messy. From the first chapter, I was pulled in by Seraphina’s desperation and the absolutely awful decision to bind herself to Cassian, a powerful demon prince who oozes danger and barely concealed obsession. And honestly? I loved every second of it.

Their relationship was the definition of tension. There’s one scene where Cassian steps just a little too close and says her name like a threat, and I fully blacked out. The chemistry is slow-building but intense, and the emotional payoff when the mask starts to crack? So satisfying.

The worldbuilding felt rich without being confusing. I loved the cursed infernal marks, the creepy beauty of the demon court, and how the magic system tied directly to control, dominance, and power imbalance. The stakes weren’t just external. They were personal, and they felt heavy the entire time.

If I’m being honest, I wish the emotional unraveling in the third act had gone just a little deeper. I wanted to sit with the aftermath longer, especially after that reveal. But the journey there? Completely worth it.

3 stars ⭐️ I wanted to love Infernal Hearts but it was heavy on the spice and not on the plot. I feel like I would have loved this if the plot was developed earlier on and continued!

Thank you to NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for the ARC. All opinions are my own 🫶🏼

Arc read:

Such a cute and quick read! Queer romance Supernatural beings and a bit of mystery, who could ask for more! This was adorable, which just enough supernaturalness to hold my attention, the MMC are funny and their banter is on point, who wouldn’t want to watch a romance develop between an incubus and a human (who may not be so human after all).

I really enjoyed watching the growth of the main characters, watching them overcome prejudices and past trauma was wonderful to see, Jason and Levi are a cute couple and have a shared history even they don’t know about until late in the book. This book may not be for everyone but it sure was fun to read and a nice palate cleanser as well. If you like queer romance and the supernatural, and are looking forward to for a cute fun read check this book out when it’s published!
