This book was fantastic! You will fall for alpha male Jaeger. He is definitely a dirty talking alpha male. Grit has some twist and turns moments and WTH just happened but it ends well.

I loved this book!

Grit was the first MC book I’ve read and I’m addicted. I loved Jaeger. He comes from a broken home and had to fight (literally) for everything. He works his way up the fighting ranks because he has serious talent. Jaeger is all about his club. He started it with his VP and makes decisions based on what’s best for all.

He’s off to collect on a gambling debt when he runs into Phoenix.

Phoenix’s father owes Jaeger a lot of money (not just to Jaeger’s club) and he’s two weeks behind on his payments. When Jaeger knocks on the door he finds himself staring at a shot gun. Phoenix is suffering the loss of her father and the realization that he gambled everything away -EVERYTHING!

And so the story begins. Jaeger quickly realizes Phoenix is a girl he’s been dreaming about for years. He’d seen her at one of his matches and is thrown by the fact that he is staring at her. He doesn’t have much time to contemplate this because he soon discovers her father’s debts are huge.

I loved Jaeger! He is just so clueless when it comes to women. He’s only ever had “whores” so when he meets Phoenix and discovers she isn’t like the women he’s met in the past he is just at a loss. I smiled so much during their banter. She doesn’t take his crap and he’s often working himself out of a mess because he’s stuck his foot in his mouth. He’s also very protective and quickly claims Phoenix as his.

Phoenix wants nothing to do with Jaeger yet she’s totally drawn to him and can’t stop herself. She tries really hard to fight off her attraction but it just doesn’t work. Even with Jaeger’s dumb comments she still can’t seem to stop herself. I love it! They are just so attracted to one another and they both try to fight it in their own way for their own reasons.

However, there is a lot of danger out there. Phoenix’s dad totally screwed her and Jaeger needs to fight to get her safe. Can he keep her safe from a rival gang and a drug lord? Read it to find out!

Margaret is one of my favorite authors. I’ve read her last three releases and she always sucks me in with her stories and Grit is no different. Grit will suck you in and you won’t be able to stop reading until you reach the end..
