An interesting book in an interesting setting. I loved the plot but I will admit, it took some effort to get into the book.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this eARC. All opinons are my own.

The story is a gripping psychological thriller that delves deep into the dark human psyche. The novel explores themes of trauma, guilt, and redemption, with a narrative that twists and turns, keeping the reader on the edge. The development of the characters in the story is very good, and we have complex individuals whose motives and actions leave a lasting impact. The pace of the story is well-balanced, with moments of tension and introspection that enhance the overall suspense. The author’s ability to build suspense and weave multiple storylines together makes this book a compelling read for fans of dark fiction. Ultimately, the story is an unsettling yet thought-provoking journey into the darker corners of the human experience, and the ending leaves room for a sequel, if explored in the future.

I was looking forward to reading this, as the premise sounded great. While the atmosphere is great, I had a hard time getting into it, and think it may just not have been for me.

I was looking forward to reading this book. The story had so much promise but unfortunately did not deliver. The writing could have been better and some parts of the story were not believable. And there's the lack of closure on some strands of the story.

Red teeth silent screams by Francois Maree is a pulse-pounding tale of courage, betrayal, and primal terror, set in Angola's blood-drenched shadows. The story follows Will Martin's team as they try to outsmart their persuers both human and inhuman. It seemed to be a thrill packed with relentless action and gut-wrenching suspense, with a mystery that lingers long after the final page. The book explores survival, betrayal, primal fear and the psycological and emotional toll of war. The setting in Angola's conflict-ridden landscape suggests themes of violence, loyality and the struggle between humanity and brutality. The book is similar to odds against tomorrow exploring fear and dissaster, but in a more psycological and dystopian way rather than action-driven suspence.
