This book had me hooked from page 1. I’ve read all of this authors other books, however this is probably my favourite. I really enjoyed the plot, characters and various twists. It’s more than worthy of 5 stars.

This was a great read! There were so many twists and turns and kept me on the edge of my seat! I couldn’t put it down!

Initially promising, the narrative subsequently lost momentum. Navigational challenges were encountered during the reading experience. While not entirely unfavorable, the content failed to fully captivate. It is acknowledged that individual preferences vary, and this perspective may not reflect the experiences of all readers. Every Mother’s Nightmare by SE lynes, Melissa‘s children were supposed to be safe tucked away at camp celebrating the end of high school. Cassie is working there for the summer and her older brother Dan was there just for kicks with his new friends. so when Melissa gets a call at work it is totally out of the blue I mean how often do police in the town where your child is supposed to be calls up and tells you don’t panic she’s fine. it seems one of the workers at the camp found Cassie half naked and baffled as to why and how she got there. What they don’t tell Melissa over the phone is she has bruises around her neck her body and they’re checking to see if she’s been raped. on the same day her brother Dan gets up and can barely remember the night before he remembers arguing with his sister Cassie telling her to stay away from his new “friend“ because he isn’t a nice guy. The guy in question is Bernard Sharpe someone who Dan believes is a mover and shaker with his YouTube videos on self-defense and body image, but Dan knows different he knows Bernard has no respect for women thinks of them as commodities and things to own and wants him to steer very clear of his sister Cassie. unfortunately Dan does remember also arguing with Burn so after Dan finds out what happened to Cassie he goes to find him only to stumble on to his dead body and this is when Dan starts to panic. Did he kill his friend or did Cassie? This is what the police will be asking as well it doesn’t take long for them to be suspicious of the siblings if only one of them could remember. with the exception of the Instagram post at the end which I found dubious I thought this was a really stellar read. Even though I could guess potentially how the book would end, I still found it so worth reading and read it all in one setting. I don’t think I have ever read a book by this author before but would definitely read another it really was a great thriller and one I definitely recommend.#NetGalley, #BookOucher, #BlindReviewer, #MyHonestReview, #SELynes, #EveryMother’sNightmare,

Melissa receives a call that every mother fears, her eighteen-year-old daughter, Casey, needs her, right now.
Casey’s twenty-three-year-old brother, Dan, can’t find her. Dan has gone to the summer camp with his new found friend, Byrne. The lads are too old to be there, but Dan went so he could keep an eye on his little sister.
This story is told through different timelines, this helps us learn and understand the characters more.
It is a tale that every parent dreads; when their children are old enough to go off into the big wide world. We all want to be there for our children, but sometimes we can’t. We all hope and pray that nothing bad will happen when they aren’t with us.
The author writes their stories straight from the heart. The intensity is written for all to see, as well as the fear.
Through the story, we learn more about the dangers of social media, as well as male toxicity.
This is a difficult psychological thriller to read and it is a story that I won’t forget.

Another great book by Susie Lynes. She is one of the authors whose books I don't bother reading the synopsis of as I know I will always enjoy them

The title for this book is absolutely perfect because the plot to this story really is every mother’s nightmare.
I did get fully invested in this book due to the storyline, but something was just missing for me. I like to really bond with characters and for some reason, even though I was invested in the story, I just couldn’t fully get on board with the actual characters which really surprised me considering the theme of it.
I did kind of guess the main outcome but there was one or two little twists I didn’t expect.
Thanks to NetGalley for this early read.

I love this authors books and this one has me gripped from the start. This is a fast paced and hard hitting read that covers the topic of toxic masculinity and also the influence of social media on young people.
This has lots of twists and turns and was veneered around the storyline of a summer camp which made this a relevant read to todays society and the worries that parents face when their young adults start seeking independence and adventure.

I was very excited for this one but unfortunately it fell flat for me. The writing didn't work for me, it was clunky, it dragged in many places, yes there are many twists and turns but they didn't deliver the shock factor that I wanted and needed from this book.

Wow, wow, wow! What a great story! Dark and twisty in all the right places!
Melissa is single mum to 23 year old Dan and 18year old Casey. Dan has left university and is working in a dead-end pub. One night he meets the charismatic Byrne - a complex character, a self-made man with his finger in lots of pies and a seemingly strict moral code. Bryce takes Dan under his wing and Dan starts to work on his physical health and mindset. So far so good until - a summer festival that Casey secures a job at....and Byrne takes a shine to her! In another timeline we witness the end of the festival, where Casey is found unconscious and seemingly the victim of an assault in a tent. Another character to watch is 'Spider' Casey's rather interesting friend and the one who finds her unconscious.
How this plays out is superb and in parts very unpredictable! Definitely a title for fans of Psychological fiction to put to the top of the 'to read' lists!
My thanks to NetGalley, author and publisher for the opportunity to review this book in exchange for an advance copy.

This book was a bit slow for my liking, but was overall very good. I guessed some of the twists, but did not expect that last chapter so well done to S.E. Lynes for that. As mentioned, it didn't fully grip me as it was a bit slow, but for a lot f people it would be the perfect pacing.

This one struggled to hold my attention. I’m disappointed to admit that Every Mother’s Nightmare was a ‘did not finish’ for me. I persevered to the half way mark but when it didn’t seem to be getting any better I gave up. I have enjoyed all the other S.E. Lynes books that I’ve read but this one missed the mark for me.
Thank You to NetGalley, Bookouture for access to this ARC.

Thank you, NetGalley, for the ARC of Every Mother's Nightmare by S.E. Lynes.
Melissa gets the calls that every mother doesn't want to get. Her daughter is in the hospital, and she can't figure out what happened to her the night before.
This was a good thriller. It was a little slow for me. The mother in this book was worried about what was going to happen to her children, like every parent would be. This book could have been about fifty pages shorter. In some parts of the book, I found myself getting bored. The ending felt a little rushed, but I did not expect what happened to happen at the end. This is my first book by this author, but it will not be my last.

I would actually give this book 3 1/2 stars, but NetGalley doesn’t allow for half stars. This follows siblings, Casey and Dan, through a night at a summer camp for late teens and early 20-something’s. Dan befriends Byrne who seems like a solid guy on the surface, but Dan later learns thar Byrne is rather shady, almost sinister. Byrne starts to flirt with Casey at camp, but it goes a little further than innocent flirting. Casey is discovered half dressed in a tent one afternoon, covered in bruises and no memory of what happened to her.
This book is a middle paced read. The only thing I wish for is that the twist at the end was a little twistier. Overall would recommend as a summer read.

This is the first book that I have read by this author and it won't be the last. It is a mums worse nightmare when the phone rings and you hear your daughter has been taken to hospital. Dropping everything she flies down to the summer camp that her and daughter both were. Casey her daughter has been attacked and can't remember anything. It all comes out in the end but not anywhere near to how you though it would end.
A very good book with an unexpected ending.

This book grabbed me from the first chapter and didn't let go! There was a lot of jumping around between timelines and characters which could be confusing at times, but it also showed how chaotic the entire situation was. Mothers guilt, brothers guilt, daughters guilt... all the guilt. This book kept me guessing until the very end, some of the twists were predictable, others made me gasp. A great suspense mystery!

Casey, her brother Dan, and their mother Melissa tell this story of what happened before and after Casey is found after being assaulted at a summer camp. Some of this might feel familiar but Lynes does a good job with her characters and with setting a scene of menace and tension. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. A good read.

I always enjoy books by this author, as I find the themes are relevant to the modern times.
This one tells of casey who is found at summer camp in a bad way after being assulted.
The tale is twisty and emotional and I loved how I became hooked very early on.
The characters are all good and add to the story and I really enjoyed my reading time

How far would you go to protect the people you love?
Great book, every chapter had me guessing and I really didn’t know where it was going.
And the way it exposes rich people, was amazing. Like let’s talk about how money lets them walk away from the worst things while everyone else is left picking up the pieces.
I loved how it wasn’t sugar coated, it was raw and it was honest and the feelings that this book had me feeling was amazing,
This author is incredible talented. Can’t wait to read more

This was a decent read, though I had the suspend my disbelief at times. It centers on a young girl who is assaulted while working at a summer camp, with the rest of the story unfolding to show the reader the events leading up to that incident. The story is told primarily from 3 alternating POVs: Casey, the victim; Dan, her brother; and Melissa, their mom.
The characters were mostly likable, though I thought Melissa made multiple decisions that I didn’t agree with and she was the adult! When Dan or Casey messed up, it was from a lens of immaturity, but I was less inclined to forgive Melissa. The story unfolds a bit slowly, but the changes in timeline and POV kept it moving along. There were a couple big twists towards the end, one I saw coming and one I didn’t. The one I saw coming is the one that caused me to suspend my disbelief. The end of the book worked for the story but I kind of walked away feeling like I was being taught a lesson versus fully immersing myself in the story.
Overall, decent read but I don’t think this is my favorite by this author. Thanks to NetGalley for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
