One word: hilarious.

This second installment in the Kings of Fury series doesn’t just hold its own—it grabs book one by the collar, winks, and struts confidently into the spotlight with a cocktail of chaos, charm, and cheeky brilliance. Yes, I said it: it’s better. Absolutely better.

We’re treated to another irresistibly sassy, unapologetically stubborn heroine whose internal monologue is anything but internal. Think stand-up comedian trapped in a warrior princess’s body—if sarcasm were a weapon, she’d be lethal. Pair her with a broody berserker king whose grumpy growls are softened only by a gloriously over-the-top Hungarian accent (audiobook listeners, you are in for a treat), and you’ve got the kind of slow-burn chemistry that sizzles... even without the steam. And yes—deep sigh—there’s no smut. None. Zilch. But you know what? The plot, the banter, and the delicious tension make you forget you even missed it. Almost.

Plot-wise, expect political intrigue, rival factions, unexpected betrayals, and just enough fantasy flair to keep your inner nerd humming. It’s fast-paced without being frantic, detailed without dragging, and threaded with that irreverent, wink-at-the-reader tone that has Showalter-Monroe written all over it.

In short: it’s funny, it’s fresh, and it’s fierce. Whether you're here for the banter, the battle, or just a grumpy king trying not to fall head over heels, The Stolen Bride delivers in royal style.

OMG, this book was so fun. It was light hearted and funny, clean and fast-paced. The hero was hilarious and that quips he made just had me smiling.

The narration of this book was fantastic. The narrator did an amazing job of keep it light hearted, but adding the intensity when needed. You could totally see Viktor's "madness"

Clover Deering is living her best life. Kind of. Maybe. Okay, so, not at all. The owner of Fur-Ever Pet Spa is deeply in debt and battling a temper that scares even herself.

Things go from bad to catastrophe when a terrifying man claiming to be a berserker king demands an impossible mission: force a rival royal to welcome evil into his heart. In exchange, he'll gift her with a prize she cannot resist! Meeting the twin she never knew existed….

Fast moving, witty, some good one liners that will make you chuckle. The story is in the same world as book one, however following new characters with a few known faces popping in.

Enjoyed the story and revisiting this world. However, at times some areas of the story did feel a little rushed.

Nina Yndis and the production team at Dreamscape did some great work bringing the world to life in my ears! Well done team!

Oh what fun. A berserker romance. Clean. Hilarious. Lots of characters. Definitely a fun read. I did find some of the humor a little outlandish, hence the four stars instead of 5.

This book was funny fast paced and a comical romance. The fmc has a great sense of humor. Think grumpy to sunshine with shifters and berserkers!

Thank you net galley for the ARC!

I had fun listening to this audio ARC. As always, Gena and Jill are bringing lighthearted fantasy energy.

Berserker is a new one for me, and I loved the soulmates' moments. In all this was an easy one sitting read with all your classic clichés (which we love to see).

Vibes readers circle here. I'll be tuning in again, I'm sure.

I loved The Stolen Bride just as much as The Wrong Bride, and the best part? You don’t need to read the first to enjoy the second.

This book is packed with action, a unique take on fated mates, and a male lead who shows his devotion through actions rather than words. If you’re a fan of Once Upon a Broken Heart, you’ll love this dynamic.

The audiobook narrators were perfect, making the experience even more immersive. I devoured this in one sitting.

If you’re searching for a paranormal romance with smooth world-building and strong story development, this is the one to pick up.

Thank you for the ALC, all thoughts are my own.

Unfortunately, I struggled to get through this story—mostly because I found the narration difficult to enjoy.
I don’t feel like I can give it a completely fair review, as that aspect really distracted me throughout.
