This book is a fake dating, dual pov, witty rom-com. This was a quick and easy read. It did take me a minute to get into but it was cute. I did enjoy the banter between the characters. It’s a 3.5/4 star read. I will be recommending to friends and family!

Thank you Netgalley and Boldwood Books for this ARC.

I scrubbed in expecting sparks… but ended up diagnosing it as a ‘meh.’

A hotel mix-up, a naked doctor, and TV’s resident heartthrob? Dr Chloe Henry’s unexpected encounter with Logan Broderick—aka Dr Love—kicks off a classic fake dating tale with all the right ingredients for a fun, feel-good romance.

I really wanted to love this one… medical romances usually get my heart rate up, but unfortunately this one flatlined a little and the writing style just wasn’t my cup of tea. The internal monologue was everywhere—repetitive, overly introspective, and often slowed the story to a crawl. I found myself skimming at times, wishing for more sharp dialogue and dynamic scenes to bring the chemistry to life.

That said, it’s still a sweet, low-stakes read that makes for a decent palate cleanser after a long day. The prognosis? Cute concept, but the spark didn’t survive the surgery 🩺🤷🏽‍♀️

Thank you NetGalley and the Publisher for allowing me to read the ARC of this book!! This book was so freaking adorable!! Chloe has absolutely got a keeper!! I loved how protective Logan was and how many layers there was to each character. The graceful show of Logan at first being portrayed as a playboy to his sweet personality. It really goes to show that appearances arent everything. The dynamics, the relationships, everything was absolutely perfect!! The only “flaw” was that it seemed to progress a bit fast, probably given its a short book. Maybe its just me wishing to have seen this couple together for longer. The premises was amazingly hilarious and was genuinely so good. It also had two of my favourite tropes: fake dating and enemies to lovers!! Just overall an amazing book!!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – A Delightfully Chaotic Dose of Rom-Com!

This book delivers exactly what the doctor ordered for fans of enemies-to-lovers, fake dating, and witty banter wrapped in a sharp, fast-paced rom-com.

Dr. Chloe Henry is a fierce, competent surgeon trying to survive in a male-dominated hospital world, and her rivalry with the charming (and frustratingly adored) Dr. Carson provides great tension. But it’s the unexpected collision—literally—with Hollywood heartthrob Logan Broderick (aka TV’s “Doctor Dante Love”) that kicks the story into high gear. Their bathroom meet-cute? Equal parts steamy and hilarious.

The fake-dating trope is executed with flair, and the chemistry between Chloe and Logan crackles from the start. Chloe’s dry wit and Logan’s reluctant vulnerability make them a fun, compelling pair to root for. There’s more depth here than you’d expect from a book with a shirtless TV doctor on the cover—Chloe’s career struggles and Logan’s fight to be seen beyond his image are handled with surprising heart.

Why not 5 stars? A few plot points felt a bit rushed (the medical conference arc especially), and the resolution tied up a little too neatly. Still, this was a charming, laugh-out-loud romantic comedy that felt like Grey’s Anatomy meets Notting Hill—with a scalpel.

Highly recommended for readers who like their romance with snark, spice, and just the right amount of chaos. 💉❤️📺

How stinking cute. This was adorable and yet it was also real. Real life issues and how to get through them. The banter was so good, it had me kicking my feet. Learning who you are because someone finally sees the real you. Sooo good. Cannot wait to read more of your books 💥

3.5 ✨ I WISH this had been written in first person! As a woman in healthcare whose teenage years were shaped by McDreamy, this story had all the ingredients to become a favorite read. Unfortunately, the third-person narration made it harder for me to connect with the characters in the way I wanted. That’s definitely a personal preference, and I’m sure plenty of readers will love this book regardless. It just needed that deeper inner dialogue to push it into the “read again” category for me.

I loved this trope, the plot was believable, and the characters were well written—overall, a really enjoyable read. And for the right reader, absolutely a 5-star book.

✨ Thank you NetGalley, Boldwood Books, and Rachel Dove for the E-ARC ✨

Dating Dr. Love is a dual POV fake dating, slow burn romance. Dr. Chloe Henry is vying for a promotion at work, but struggles with being unnoticed and overlooked at the hospital. When a hotel mix-up puts her in the same room as actor Logan Broderick, who is trying to lay low at the hotel her medical conference is booked in, the two strike a reluctant deal. They’ll pretend to date- Chloe will help Logan clean up his image in the tabloids and Logan will help Chloe get the recognition she deserves. It’s just supposed to be for a week, surely they can pull it off without complications!

This was my second Rachel Dove book and I really enjoyed it! It took a moment for me to fall into the story but pretty soon I was sucked in and couldn’t wait to see how she was going to work it all out! I loved that Chloe unapologetically prioritized her career and the good she could do, and I loved how much Logan supported her!

Rachel Dove is our Doctor romance author. she knows how to write such clever, fun and emotional books. the way she writes just flows from and through the pages.i instantly know her style when i began and its a comfort to come back to.
and once again the connections with our pair are sooooo good. Chloe and Logan had me full on wide beam grinning when they interacted.
there meeting was a cringe but brilliant time to read. both our characters are at a hotel for very different reasons. famous tv star Logan walks in on a real doctor. yes our doctor Chloe. oh and shes naked. and of course the plan right then was not to be papped! but careers are already on the rocks here, reputations definitely are. so what should one do? what would one do? well, the obvious is for a fake dating plan right? right!? haha loved it. and im in. im here for it. im gone from the world until i finish this delight.
Rachel of course gives us these moments as above. but she also always delves deeper with her plot and characters. and once again i am charmed but also emotional whilst reading. and rooting for our characters both on their own and then together.

This is a quick, whirlwind romance between a surgeon and her favorite TV heartthrob. This would be the perfect romance book to read by the pool this summer. This book has wild twists and is very fast paced. I wish they would have tapped back on the insta- love/lust. Overall, an enjoyable read.

What a sweet, fun, cute, simple and easy read this was!

Doctor (Chloe) meets actor that plays a Doctor on Cloe's favorite TV-show (Logan), and are forced to share the same hotelroom due to a mix up. From the forced proximity we get to a fake engagement and a whole lot of chemistry.

Loved the characters, although I would've liked to see a bit more depth to their backgrounds and some of the story lines. The story pace was also a bit slow for my liking, therefore my 3 stars.

Thanks to Netgalley, Boldwood Books and Rachel Dove for entrusting me with an advanced copy to write an honest review about.

This was my first Rachel Dove book and it most certainly won't be my last. I am such a sucker for fake dating trope and loved the premise of this one with doctors and fake doctors. Give me a McDreamy story line all day!

Dating Dr. Love was such a funny, entertaining, and romantic read! I absolutely LOVED the banter that Chloe and Logan had, Chloe really earned that ‘wildcat’ nickname and I was cackling at every interaction.

I also DIED over the first meeting between our MCs in this book. Picture this: Chloe, FMC, at a hotel for a doctor conference, showering (in her assigned hotel room), when suddenly, world famous tv star Logan Broderick strolls in and sees her naked. Obviously, Chloe threatened him within an inch of his life, but then the paps got a photo of her in her towel with Logan… PR nightmare. It was especially a PR nightmare for Logan, who already had his career in potential shambles and reputation askew. So, his manager, Pete, (one of the best side characters) decides fake dating will fix it.

I’ve read a lot of fake dating in my time, but the fake dating between Logan and Chloe was SO GOOD! I lovedddd this slow burn, I was absolutely feral.

Fake dating// doctor FMC // tv star MMC // touch her and die // protective MMC // slow burn // tension and banter

Dating Dr. Love is a delightful, romantic comedy that took me into the high-stakes world of medicine, media, and mistaken identities. The story follows Dr. Chloe Henry, a no-nonsense surgeon aiming to secure a promotion, who crashes—quite literally—into TV-famous surgeon Logan Broderick (a.k.a. “Dr. Dante Love”) at a medical conference. A viral bathroom encounter propels them into an unexpected fake‑dating arrangement: Chloe lends credibility while Logan gains the PR boost he desperately needs. This setup leads to witty banter, sizzling chemistry, and a surprising emotional connection between a driven doctor and a scandal‑plagued star .

Rachel Dove’s strength lies in crafting a fast-paced, laugh-out-loud narrative filled with sharp dialogue and heartfelt moments. This book was fun and enjoyable and a great page turner that has you guessing. Chloe’s professional drive and no‑nonsense attitude make her a compelling heroine, while Logan becomes unexpectedly endearing as his tough exterior softens. Though set in the glamorous world of televised medicine, their romance remains relatable and grounded.

While Dating Dr. Love leans into familiar rom‑com tropes—fake dating, enemies‑to‑lovers, and the classic meet‑cute incident—the novel feels fresh and well‑executed. It offers the perfect blend of humor, steam, and emotional resonance, making it an ideal pick for fans of lighthearted contemporary romance. If you're in the mood for a feel-good, fast-paced love story with plenty of sparks and laughs, Dating Dr. Love is a top choice.

First of all, thank you NetGalley and Boldwood books for the e-ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

This book was such a great time, I enjoyed the ride immensely. I had no expectations going into this book, having never read Rachel Dove before, and let me tell you how excited I was once I buckled up.

The banter in this book was top tier, I was kicking my feet and giggling a good part of this book. Our FMC Chloe and our MMC Logan are full of fire and spice from the moment they met each other in an accidentally double booked hotel room. YES, you heard me right. A famous British TV star with a bad reputation who plays a doctor has a forced proximity moment with a general surgeon actual doctor who is at a conference looking for a promotion. It is hilarious! Not to mention throwing in there the one bed trope, sprinkled with Touch Her and Die, makes for a sizzling not quite enemies to lovers book.

I will say, it is CHEEEEEZY but in the best way possible. One thing I didn’t love? The word Chortle. Another thing I didn’t know? Cats can yip and I will be looking into what that means. If you read this book, you have to know it’s going to be a cheesy romance book coming in at under 300 pages. And speaking of which, this was very well developed for being so short.

I am so excited to have read this ARC and will now be expanding my reading to include Rachel Dove.

Dating Dr. Love completely won me over. Logan and Chloe were portrayed so well and their connection felt real from the first page. The tropes were spot on and the story kept me hooked from start to finish. It’s heartfelt, fun, and romantic — exactly what I love in a good romance.

Thank you so much for the chance to read this ARC. I’m excited to read more from this author!

Thank you NetGalley for this advanced copy of Dating Dr. Love by Rachel Dove. Forced proximity and fake dating has become a new favorite rom com trope of mine and did this book ever deliver. Chloe is a surgeon who has an over bearing family. She is on the way to prove herself at a medical conference and wants to get a higher position job. To do so, she has to wine and dine the drs and prove herself. Enter Logan, an actor who is trying to lay low from the paparazzi. They are mistakenly booked in the same hotel room................enter the forced proximity. Logan's PR guy thinks to get through this mistake, the two should pretend date for a week and then pretend break up. What could go wrong? OR what could go right? These two main characters are funny, fierce, and the chemistry is hot from the beginning. Can these two people from two different worlds make it work? Or is it all really just pretend?

What a cute and quick read!
Claire and Logan share an unforgettable meet-cute that launches them straight into a fake dating arrangement to help boost both their careers. Fake dating is one of my favorite tropes, and it was really well executed here—fun, heartwarming, and just the right amount of swoony.

Logan is the ultimate cinnamon roll hero—sweet, supportive, and genuinely lovable. Claire’s journey is just as compelling, and I loved watching her come into her own throughout the story.
