I have loved the entire Crimson Ridge series so far, and I could not wait for Saving the Rain. I was so grateful to receive an arc, and it was perfect timing as I am solidly in my ‘give me two hopeless guys falling in love’ era.
I knew to expect angst and tension, heat, passion & spice, and emotional declarations of forbidden love. I relished in all of these as I read, but what l but DID not expect was to be tearing up in public and sobbing on my couch. The emotional turmoil, past trauma, broken and tormented cowboys who don't think they're worthy or capable of love = me a puddle on the floor.
The protective, only soft for HIM vibes hit so hard in this one, and when you learn the full back story and where it all started? You won't be the same.
Both Kayce and Raine have crawled their way through fire to get where they are and are left with a fair few scares and baggage, watching them go from rivals who think the other hates them to learning to trust, be vulnerable with each other and heal together? Devastatingly beautiful.
The spice in this is next level combustible and I think the best yet. The combination of gruff commanding Raine and nervous but eager to please Kayce and the nicknames. FUCK ME. - To quote Kayce "It’s official. I’m dead. Buried. Six feet below this barn" me too Kayce, me too.
As with all of Crimson Ridge, the found family and unconditional love from all the side characters is palpable and heartwarming. Being back with the gang made me warm and fuzzy and gave me lots of laughs. I'm so happy that Kayce and Raine have this crew of people to support them and I adored seeing them all come together.
Emotionally charged, hot as hell & swoonworthy all at once, Saving The Rain did not disappoint.

Elliot Rose you freaking brilliant genius! Saving the Rain is exquisite! Highly addictive, completely captivating, and wholly consuming, I swear to God no two characters will ever have your heart in the palm of their hands the way Kayce and Raine do, in a story that will devastate you, send your heart your soaring, and own every piece of you. It’s explosive, it’s electric, it’s downright scorching, and it touches something so deep inside you it permanently imprints on you and embeds itself in your soul as Kayce and Raine reduce you to tears, unravel you in all kinds of ways, and have your heart literally bursting out of your chest. With its forbidden vibe, it’s sexy and dirty and fabulous feel, and its mind blowingly good collision between past and present, this is Kayce and Raine breaking against each other, healing each other, fiercely protecting each other, and finally finding the one thing neither one of them ever thought they’d have or deserve, the kind of love you fight for, and it’ll have you eating up every word, out of your damn mind feral and totally gone for Kayce and Raine, in a hard hitting, undeniably phenomenal, and absolutely unforgettable must read!

HOLY HOLY HOLY WOW
Thank you Elliott Rose for popping my MM cherry. These men. SHEEWWWWWW
Okay okay so where do I start??? Kayce and Raine were hot, sweet, and so full of emotion. They started out very angry with each other. Kayce was under the impression that Raine hated his guts but it obviously was quite the opposite. Raine protected Kayce when they were younger from Raine’s abusive father, but held so much misplaced anger inside (and out if we’re being honest) for Kayce.
Kayce was fighting with a lot of things throughout the book, including an injury, and his sexuality. Raine guided him through all of this turmoil with patience (and some really hot dominance). I absolutely loved every second of it. This book, like every other book in the series, took me through an emotional rollercoaster that I didn’t want to get off of. It kept me turning pages and picking my kindle up every time I had a free moment.
Thank you so much Kensington and Elliott Rose for sending me an eARC of this!!

Kayce!! What a good boy.
Raine - our strong, silent type - complements him perfectly.
These two share a complicated history: stepbrothers since their parents married when they were teens, but essentially strangers as adults. When the full depth of that shared past comes to light, you can’t help but fall even harder for Raine.
Kayce’s journey here is beautiful - watching him come to understand and embrace his authentic self, surrounded by unconditional love from friends and family, had me emotional. I went from hating him in book one to absolutely crying for him in this one. He’s so soft for Raine, and I adore that Raine’s protectiveness matches that tenderness perfectly.
And yes - the spice is spicing, the cowboys are cowboying, and I’m here for all of it. Elliot Rose delivers yet again, giving Kayce the perfect conclusion to his arc.
Huge Thankyou to Kensington Publishing and Netgalley for the ARC!

Wow! I loved this story. I didn’t make the connection right away about the main character Kayce being the son from book 1. I quickly realized it and Raine is his step brother. While I did feel like the first part of the book was very wordy, I very much enjoyed this story. It was equal parts heart felt and the coming out story was done so well. I fell in love with these men by the end of the book! Crimson Ridge is a special place for love on top of that mountain!

What an incredible book! Throughly enjoyed this story! The characters connection felt genuine & made them even more likeable! Loved their story, the spice was perfect. Absolutely love this series & this book just confirmed what an incredible author Elliott Rose is.
Would definitely recommend, especially if you enjoy a taboo romance as this is one 😂
Thank you NetGalley, Elliott Rose & Kensington books for the opportunity to read this ARC!

My rating: five stars.
Why: I loved this story, have continued thinking about it for over a week since finishing, and added them to my personality (oops?).
This book, *chef's kiss*. A beautiful finale to the Crimson Ridge series. Character flaw and development focused, it followed Kayce as he works to better himself and ends up having to confront his past when Raine, his step brother, suddenly shows up in town. And later having to share the same space together.
The tension, the emotion. Who will snap first and go for the kiss?
Kayce is a happy-go-lucky but also chronically anxious sweetheart with an amazing sense of humor. Raine is a gruff man of few, if any, words. I am deceased. Good bye. I have to commend Elliott's minimal use of lack-of-communication scenario, which I have seen in many similar books. My nonexistent patience is grateful. I shed a few tears and fist pumped the air one too many times. I could not put this book down.
This just had the perfect ending of everything and everyone being where they needed to be. This series will be with me for a long time.
Now, while it is technically an interconnected standalone, it does have some serious spoilers for the previous books couples.
All in all, I LOVE THIS BOOK SO MUCH!!!!!

While no one could ever take Colt and Layla's spot for favorite couple of Crimson Ridge, Kayce and Raine come mighty close. I think I was in the minority when I completely forgave Kayce for his mistakes in book one, and I was dying throughout the series to see his redemption and happy ending. Saving the Rain did not disappoint. I wasn't sold on their relationship at first. Because my heart had always had a soft spot for Kayce, it hurt to see the turmoil in him and how Raine seemed to exacerbate it. But watching their care and understanding grow for one another was lovely, and I knew I was going to love their relationship after Raine stomped out a cigarette because of Kayce' asthma. Seeing Kayce learn to understand and accept himself and move on from his past was everything I hoped for. The only thing I wish for (and maybe this will be in the extended epilogue that l'm assuming will be available once the book is fully released) but I had hoped to see what more the future held for Kayce in his profession. Hoping we get to learn more of his future endeavors! I also hope this isn't the last we see of Crimson Ridge, I am desperate for more of this world.
Thank you to Elliot Rose, Kensington Books and NetGalley, this was the first ARC I have ever received which is fitting because Chasing the Wild was the first cowboy romance I had ever read, so it was a full circle moment.
It truly made my day to receive it.

Elliot you’ve done it again!!
These boys are EVERYTHING!!
Definitely worth the wait!!!
Yall go pick this up on Aug 26th the audio is going to be fire!! Dane Anderson and Teddy Hamilton 🥵

It’s no surprise that this book was amazing. I have a feeling that everything Elliott writes is just going to be a 5/5 for me at this point and I’m never going to say no to cowboys.
Kayce is a sweet angel baby who’s just dealt a shitty deck of cards and I want to hug him.
Raine is dark mysterious and was also dealt a shitty deck of cards but he handles it in a more grumpy way.
Together they are the perfect weird grumpy sunshine and I loved every minute of it.

Elliott Rose has done it again. And she brought this series full circle in the most fantastic way.
✔️step-brothers
✔️angsty rivals to lovers
✔️forced proximity
✔️grumpy/(what's the rodeo equivalent to a heart throb)
Kayce finally got his happy ending he deserved....and the therapy he oh so desperately needed.
I absolutely loved the dialog, the spice, and the tension.

I will never not be obsessed with this book! I have been waiting for Kayce’s story for so long, and wow… it did not disappoint.
From start to finish, this had everything I love, from struggles, to angst, to love, and raw emotions, you name it, it has it. I was hooked from page one and literally could not put it down!
And did I mention this is an MM romance?! It was so beautifully and authentically written that my heart is still not okay (in the best way possible).
Kayce’s journey had me feeling everything, laughing, aching, and cheering him on and even sometimes wanting to smack him upside the head for him to get his act together!
I am absolutely not surprised that this story is another stunning masterpiece from one of my favourite authors, and I cannot wait for everyone to read it and fall in love just like I did.
Its time to buckle up and enjoy Saving the Rain =] I can not wait to share my review on Instagram!

This was the perfect ending of Crimson Ridge series. Kayce and Raine are the endgame. There were tears and laughter through the whole book. I'm sad that is over but what a journey it was.
Thank you to Elliott, Kensington and Netgalley for the ARC!

This is the true definition of slow burn...slow burn... like omg...book was great ...it was too slow for me...but I am sure for everyone else was perfect...I'm just wired differently...I have read every book in this series and 1. Chasing the wild 2. Saving the rain ..3. Bouquets and Buckles... 1,2 3 just like that in my brain... she is such an amazing author, blessed with the gift to write such beautiful stories... all that time it took her to get these two in a page... beautiful work!

I love everything Elliott Rose rights, and I love everything cowboys. This book was no exception! I think the story was wrote wonderfully about the two MMCs! I’ve loved every book in the Crimson Ridge series.

Thanks so much to Elliott Rose and Kensington for my ARC of Saving the Rain. I've loved the Crimson Ridge series so far, and Saving the Rain was also a winner for me. This was my first MM romance (I've read poly and why choose romances) and I enjoyed it - I love love! There were some really sweet moments in here, and I found it interesting to see things from Kayce's perspective as he discovered his identity as a gay man, and also, how the spice actually works! This book was spicy, but the spice didn't dominate (and wasn't quite as naughty as in previous books in this series!).
I didn't get as attached to Raine as I did to Kayce, but I did like him as a character for how well he treated Kayce. I already felt sympathetic towards Kayce from seeing him in Book 3, Taming the Heart, and I really loved the explanation of the money loan in Lyla's name being explained (in a way that didn't make Kayce out to be a total d*ck!) - this relates to Book 1 in the series, Chasing the Rain. Both of the MMCs have trauma to overcome and seeing them find each other led a very hopeful tone to this read.
I always enjoy Elliott's style of writing - her storytelling captivates me easily, and I love feeling familiar with Devil's Peak and the whole town community. I'm interested to see if there will be more chat from Hayes clan - Knox is especially intriguing to me.
There is a third act breakup, but don't be too stressed, as the boys get their HEA. There's also a bit of drama towards the end which really adds to the tension and ties up loose ends for the boys.
I'd recommend this to fans of cowboy romances set in small towns, who like a good bit of plot, sprinkled with spice.

I am obsessed with this book. It had me feeling all the emotions. Crying, laughing and swooning. The enemies to lovers was absolutely stunning. Raine and Kayce’s relationship was everything. If I could rate this higher I would.
Thank you NetGalley and Kensington for this ARC

Thank you to Elliott, Kensington and Netgalley for the ARC!!!!
Elliott Rose. Cowboys. MM. Stepbrothers. Enough said.
The excitement I have had for Kayce and Raine’s book since the sneak peek we got in TTH… it’s unexplainable. But Elliott, you really went and gave us the spice you write so filthy and insanely good, mixed with actual emotion and a plot.
BRA👏🏼VO👏🏼
The angst was perfect, the tension built throughout the book, and it was a slower burn but when that flame was ignited… there was no fire extinguisher powerful enough to put it out 🥵🔥😍
“I had nowhere else to go” SCREAMING CRYING
Kayce being so baby girl for Raine😭 but then Raine sensing when Kayce is overthinking or in his head, and just reassures him that he’s there always. He was also super patient but then gave him the push when he needed it. Seeing how Raine’s inner protector still came out, made my heart feel so warm because underneath that gruff and exterior that gave off “I hate you” vibes, he really does care for Kayce and always has done🥹
Raine’s FILTHY FILTHY mouth holy guacamole 🔥🔥 “You want to be a brat? Or do you want to be a good boy for me?” AHHHHH RAINE KNOWS
I cannot wait for release day to do a proper review because there’s some quotes and moments in here that are not leaving my brain anytime soon😭🥵😍

Thank you NetGalley and Elliott Rose for an advanced readers copy of Saving the Rain in exchange for my honest review.
We were first introduced to one of our MMC's, Kayce, in Chasing the Wild and, I'll be honest, I was like "there is no WAY you can make me like Kayce" and I was right. Because I don't like him..... I LOVE HIM. Sweet angel baby. I'm definitely eating my words now.
Let's be real, the stepbrothers trope was SO HOT BUT, it was just as equally beautiful for Kayce finding out he's gay and having someone like Raine that took care of him and helped him. Not only that, but when Kayce finally did build up the courage to come out to others I LOVED their responses (especially Sage!!!!! Didn't miss a beat and was immediately planning his future marriage).
Despite having a third act breakup (I'll forever despise them) I loved this cowboy romance!!!
