I’m just not sure this is the one for me. I’m not big into F1 or cheating tropes and I think I prefer something a little simpler (that doesn’t revolve around multiple stories/characters).

I haven't watched the Challengers yet so I don't know how accurate the comparison is but based on the trailer I think it's fair. This is a great F1 book if you don't care about reading about anything happening on track and want all of the gossip and drama. I don't think there was a single description of an actual race in the entire novel. However, if you are looking for drama, lust forward romance, and Love Actually style storytelling I would recommend this book to you. Tropes include: ex boyfriends dad, work place romance, and marriage in crisis. You are getting 3 love stories in one after all.

I would not recommend this to readers who have a major ick when it comes to hard drug use or cheating.

I thought each character was well developed and compelling but would not describe all of them as lovable.

I was able to listen to and read a digital copy in tandem which was helpful for my schedule and obligations. I still think it would be a fast read because of the cast of characters and page turning drama.

This is the F1 romance I have been needing. Andie J Christopher is one of the reasons that I got into F1 and when I heard she was writing an old school bonkbuster in the F1 world I had high expectations. This book blew them out of the water! Christopher brings us three different couples within the F1 world and each couple’s story feels whole and fleshed out. As an F1 girlie I was excited to see an accurate representation of the circus that is race weekend. If you love F1, throuples, “but he’s my ex-boyfriend’s dad,” and work place romances you are in luck. This book is steamy enough that I know the queen of bonkbusters, Jackie Collins, would approve.

Faster is a novel of rich, toxic, beautiful people and the relationships they find themselves in. If that sounds intriguing, you’re going to have a great time. If that sounds off putting, please run. It was honestly refreshing how messy they all were. The sex scenes themselves were top notch. I do wish that instead of following three relationships the novel focused on one (maybe two) and really focused on fleshing that out further. As it was, I was left feeling like it was a bit rushed and one relationship in particular felt like an afterthought.

As a Formula One fan, I had high hopes for this book and it definitely did not disappoint.
Nice short chapters, had me hooked from the first one. And as for the spice.....wow, that was hot!!

Fasten your seatbelt! This one’s packed with drama. I absolutely loved the relationship aspects and the F1 theme. I could definitely see this book becoming a series. I would love to read more about all the characters involved. Obviously there was a lot of spice, but I enjoyed it.

If Jackie Collins wrote a book about racing, it would look like Faster. Andie J. Christopher takes multiple F1 storylines and combines them into one sizzling romance that flies by.

Cece’s reaction to her driver husband Ethan’s cheating is to immediately hook up with his former BFF and fellow driver Luca. Luca’s been fired and has always had feelings for Cece…and Ethan. But now Luca’s the new second driver for Ethan’s F1 team and the trio is spending more and more time together, with some hot results. Meanwhile, Micaela is the first female driver on the grid, and annoyed by her former boyfriend Brent’s cheating. Now, though, her ex’s father Liam is running her team, and she’s more attracted to him than his son; the feeling is mutual, even though they both know it’s a terrible idea. And spoiled Brent is suddenly making a case for being a mature adult while trying to win the good opinion of Paola, the team’s stunning PR guru.

I had such a great time reading this one! Are there details, like cheating, that I usually avoid in my reading? Sure. But the way it’s handled here feels like there is no other way these characters could have moved forward. And I really liked the multiple quick and hot storylines. As someone who grew up watching soap operas after school, my brain was thrilled to read all these high drama, high stakes plots. And all the characters have amazing chemistry that steams up every page.

These characters are all very glamorous and driven. Cece, Ethan, and Luca are the most dominant storyline, and their scenes together have a tendency to burst into flames. I truly enjoyed Michaela and Liam’s age gap romance, and loved seeing them both talk themselves into something they logically know is a terrible idea, both professionally and personally. And I had a great time watching Paola whip Brent into shape.

Read this book for a sizzling, bonkers good time. In Faster, Andie J. Christopher takes the best elements of Jackie Collins and puts them in a super glam F1 setting. If you are looking for a hot, fun escape, you can’t go wrong with this book.

If my grandmother was still alive, I would absolutely buy her a copy of Faster. It reminded me of a Jackie Collins book and I mean that in all the best ways. It was soapy and sexy and it was definitely a ride (no pun intended). Faster was almost like three novellas woven together in one story. We have three different couples (one's a throuple actually) who all race together. The book was focused on one season of F1 racing and honestly, I would take a zillion more seasons of racing if Andie wrote it.

I hope this book gets all the recognition from readers that Andie deserves and blows her up because she deserves it. I highly recommend Faster.

She intertwined these 3 relationships with the highstakes background of F1 driving. I loved it. Each character was flushed out. Its hard to explain it something you need to experience it but you get the stories of the same race with all the characters happening in tandem instead of reading it all separately.

Kind of loved this book. It was definitely messy and I’m sure a lot of people will avoid it due to the cheating aspect but it worked for me. I loved the three intertwined stories and each of the couples. I wouldn’t have minded if the emotional aspects of the Cece/Luca/Ethan and Micaela/Liam relationships were explored more deeply and we just got more time with them but overall really enjoyable and satisfying. Spicy and fun, a great way to end the summer.

Faster is propulsive and splashy, and I could easily see it being adapted into a visual series without missing a hitch. Author Andie J. Christopher branches out from her typical roots in a multiple points-of-view story that revolves around three romances.

Honestly? I wanted to love this one, but I could not get over the presence of the cheating trope without proper restitution/groveling, nor did I think the format served each romance’s story to their fullest effect. Consequently, I didn’t feel emotionally connected to anyone, really, because there’s so much going on.

I almost wish this had been a set of three interconnected novellas instead of one novel. Or that I had managed my expectations that this really isn’t a traditional romance. But top marks for some of the steamy scenes, because, oh. My. Christopher really swung for the fences with this one, and I applaud her efforts. And think that this could translate brilliantly to a streamed series that delved into the characters more fully.

Overall, if you enjoy the world of F1 and don’t mind a fast-clipped, soapy story with the cheating trope, this will be the novel for you.

I feel like there was just too much going on in this book for it to be one book. I would have much rather the stories were more separate in novellas or novels that had easter eggs for each other.

I have so many thoughts, I one hand I absolutely loved it, like forbidden romances set in the elite, elusive world of F1, what's not to love. But then on the other hand we were exploring three romances in the space of 321 pages and that just did not feel like enough.

Cece, Luca and Ethan carried this story, they are what drew me in initially and they were what maintained my attention, I'm a sucker for a good MMF romance, the tension, the spice, it was all so freaking good.

I loved the idea of Michela and Liam but they weren't fully fleshed out and I also feel like we didn't have enough time with them together, to build the tension in the beginning.

And then Brent and Paola were just thrown off to the side and came into the story properly at the very end.

This book was giving The Favourites but make it Formula 1 and I loved it so much, like the drama, the tension, the romance it was all there. But it could have been executed better if the sole focus was on Cece, Luca and Ethan and then we had the other couples filter in via news articles, and interviews, like mixed media, because we got one in the very beginning and then nothing throughout, so it made that one feel out of place, if they continued throughout, I feel like it would have built the story up better. I also think we jumped a lot, like it was fast paced and didn't spend too long circling around one plot point, but at times it felt sort of rushed.

All that to say, I loved the vibes, I loved Cece, Luca and Ethan with my entire heart, despite their flaws because damn the three of them were HOT.

Forbidden romances in the world of Formula 1? I was locked in!

The last thing Cece expects from her Formula 1 driver husband—the man who relentlessly pursued her—is cheating. When he does, she seeks out his racing rival and former best friend, Luca, who's always had a thing for her...and her husband. But Ethan knows what he did was wrong and he'll stop at nothing to get Cece back, even if it means letting his former lover into their marriage.

Micaela already deals with so much scrutiny from the sport as she's the only female driver on the grid. It doesn't help that her ex is also an F1 driver on the grid with a hot father who happens to be her team principal.

Then there's Micaela's ex, who's a spoiled playboy driver in need of fixing his image, and in comes press office Paola to do her job, but the only way Brent will behave is if Paola gives him a chance and dates him.

I'm genuinely upset at not being a fan of this book. For one thing, who thought it was a good idea to mix all three stories in one single book? This could've easily been divided into three 200-300 pages novels per book. Keeping them all together didn't give opportunity to flesh out the characters, stories, and the romance dynamic. It gave way for a lot of telling and not a lot of showing—most of the dynamics between the couples would be expressed as a memory or as a thought instead of conversations or seeing them on-page go through the situations.

I will say the spice was on point and probably the only entertaining thing about the novel.

This is a new author for me and the first F1 book I’ve read. In the end there was definitely a lot of parts I enjoyed. I feel like this book would’ve done really well as a trilogy with Ethan, Luca, and Cece as one book Liam and Micaela as another and Brent and Paola as the last. I felt like we got way more of Ethan, Brent and Cece granted their story line did need the time and the details to feel believable. I really enjoyed Liam and Micaela. I was indifferent to Brent and Paola I’m guessing because we see the least between them.

This book did have a cheating trope which is just a no for me. I REALLY tried to look past it but it still feels unaddressed in the end. Now if there wasn't cheating I think I would’ve loved this book.

This book is everything: f1, drama, romance, high stakes, and heated tension.
Faster follows 3 different relationships. All of which I loved to read, but I think the attention and plot were not evenly balanced between the 3. Nevertheless, the writing was so enthralling and hypnotizing that I couldn't put the book down. Honestly, this book would be 5 stars if it were longer. All in all, this book was amazing, lovely, and beyond words, but I would adore an extended story of all 3 couples.

It did feel a bit rushed at times with the focus being on 3 relationships and I would've enjoyed each relationship getting their own book. Despite that this read so well, so much drama, it felt like I was watching reality TV.

I struggled a bit to follow & remember everything about the relationships as we hopped around & time hopped within the book a bit as well. I felt as though one of the relationships came a bit out of nowhere for me, it would have been nice to have spent more time on them to get more invested in their story.

I reccommend this one if you're looking for a reality TV-esque read & want to follow 3 different relationships with the F1 background!

Faster is meant to be a steamy F1 romance navigating the lives, careers, and relationships of multiple formula one drivers and team members. The idea had a lot of potential with seemingly interesting characters and various tropes/relationships. That being said the execution just didn’t do it for me.

A few things I struggled with:
-Cheating trope (and the attempt to try and win her back)
-Multiple povs in one chapter made following along tricky at times
-Third person pov (more a preference than a huge issue

If these are things you don’t mind you’re more than welcome to give this book a shot. Unfortunately this just wasn’t the right book for me. DNF’d @32%
