Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the advanced copy of Faster by Andie J. Christopher, published September 9. All opinions are my own.
Faster offers an exciting mix of Formula 1 drama, complicated relationships, and steamy romance. Ethan and Luca, once best friends and now rivals, are forced to compete side by side, complicated further by Ethan’s wife Cece, who shares a past with both men. Add ambitious driver Michela to the mix, and the tension is high.

The story is fast paced and full of passion, but with multiple romances, some relationships felt rushed or underdeveloped, especially the throuple subplot. The writing is easy to follow, and the chemistry is strong, though I wanted more depth and immersion in the racing world. The ending felt a little rushed but didn’t spoil the fun.

Overall, Faster is a steamy, dramatic read perfect for fans of messy, high stakes romance and Formula 1 excitement

Author Review
Andie J. Christopher is a new-to-me author, and I enjoyed her quick wit and ability to weave in heartfelt moments between bursts of humor and heat. She clearly knows how to balance romance with a dash of real-life vulnerability, and I’d definitely check out more of her books in the future.

Book Review
Faster revs up with a fun premise—celebrity driver meets PR professional—and keeps the energy going with plenty of banter, chemistry, and a dash of glamour from the racing world. The opposites-attract dynamic is strong here, and I enjoyed watching the walls come down between the MMC’s guarded nature and the FMC’s sunshine energy.

The pacing is quick, which works well for the banter and action, but at times I wanted just a little more time for the deeper emotional beats to sink in. There were moments where the romance felt like it shifted gears a bit too quickly, but the charm of the characters made me keep turning the pages.

This is a light, fast read with just enough spice to keep things interesting and plenty of behind-the-scenes racing fun. Perfect for readers who love celebrity romances with humor, a touch of drama, and characters you can root for.

Overall Thoughts
🏎 Fast-paced romance with fun banter
☀️ Sunshine meets guarded hero
🔥 Moderate spice with emotional moments
📖 Great for a weekend binge-read

Thank you Andie J. Christopher, NetGalley, and Montlake for the ARC in exchange for my honest thoughts.

⭐️⭐️½

Faster has all the ingredients for a juicy, high-stakes romance—Formula 1 drama, forbidden love, and a cast of interconnected couples with tangled histories. Unfortunately, the execution doesn’t quite live up to the premise.

The setup is undeniably bold—affairs, scandals, power dynamics, and steamy encounters galore—but the emotional depth and character development often feel rushed or surface-level. With three storylines happening at once, none of the romances get quite enough time to breathe, making the connections feel more like snapshots than slow-burns.

Cece and Luca’s chemistry is hot, but their storyline borders on soap-opera chaos, while Micaela’s age-gap romance had potential but lacked the tension and payoff I was hoping for. Paola and Brent had the best dynamic—snarky, sharp, and fun—but even their arc felt a bit underdeveloped.

The racing backdrop was exciting, but I wanted more immersion in the world of Formula 1 beyond the glitz and scandal. Still, if you’re looking for fast, steamy escapism with a soapy, multi-POV feel, this might hit the spot.

I’m generally a big Andie J Christopher fan so rounding up for Faster which I’d rate a 3.5/3.75 for the story. As some other reviews have mentioned, this book follows three different relationships over the course of an F1 racing season. There’s a lot of changing of POVs and timeline jumps that weren’t super clear. I found each of the storylines intriguing but because of the format I felt like none of them went as deep as I needed to truly care about them and feel invested in their HEA. This might have worked better if sold as a series of novellas to better manage reader expectations on character development. I did really enjoy learning more about F1, the steam level, and the beautiful locations!

I voluntarily read a gifted copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an ARC of this novel. All my thoughts and opinions are my own.

The Arc of Faster presents an engaging premise with a mix of passionate chemistry and complex relationships. The story focuses on multiple romantic dynamics, but I found that trying to develop so many connections in just one book spread the narrative thin. While the primary relationship is filled with tension and steamy moments, the overall pacing felt uneven, and some relationships, particularly one involving a throuple, didn’t feel as fully developed as I would have liked.

There were moments where I wished the story had focused more on one or two couples instead of trying to give equal attention to all. Some characters, particularly one couple, felt underdeveloped, which made it hard to invest in their journey. The writing itself is easy to follow, and the romantic heat is undeniably present, but the emotional depth sometimes took a backseat.

The book’s ending also felt a bit rushed, leaving me with lingering questions about the resolution. Overall, The Arc of Faster is a quick, steamy read with great chemistry, but it didn't fully live up to its potential in terms of character development and pacing. It’s a solid choice for readers who enjoy unconventional romance dynamics, but it may not be for those looking for a more tightly focused story.

Overall I enjoyed it being a huge f1 fan has its perks in some ways.

Faster is fiery, feminist, and unapologetically sexy. Andie J. Christopher delivers a fast-paced romance with sizzling chemistry, sharp banter, and a heroine who owns every room she walks into. It’s a story about desire, power, and what it means to be truly seen—on and off the track. Equal parts steamy and empowering.

This book is for anyone who loves dramatic, cliffhanger-filled soap operas, which in this case is me. I was worried about how this tangle of characters would look on paper, but it didn't bother me too much—the characters had enough voices to keep me from getting confused.
I loved it.
Thank you NetGalley and the author for the eARC.

The 3rd person is very hard for me to read for some reason. That's a personal issue that I do have. The book it self was well written, the set up was a little strange with time line. But all in all I did enjoy it!

Thank you for the advanced copy of Faster by Andie j Christopher published 9th of September, the world of f1 has never felt so enticing and entertaining when you have characters like Ethan and Luca once best friends but now rivals forced to drive alongside other . The only complication is Ethan’s wife Cece whom both men have history with, add to the mix female driver michela who is eager to impress at all costs. My thoughts I devoured the book so quickly loved the story lines and all the characters I would highly recommend this to anyone

Andie J. Christopher is one of my favorite romance writers. Faster is a new style with three interconnected forbidden love stories. I devoured this one. International settings, fast paced, and formula-1 driven sets the scene for some very steamy forbidden love stories.

3.5
This book was a fun and soapy read. The international settings like Monte Carlo and Japan made it more interesting. The story followed several characters, especially Cece, Luca, and Michela, and how their lives and loves mixed together through the racing season. The romances were many, by the end, almost everyone was paired up, which felt a little unrealistic, but it didn’t stop me from enjoying the drama. Michela’s story was the most interesting for me. As the only female driver, she faced challenges with people underestimating her, which added a nice layer to the story. Overall, the book was light, sexy, and perfect for an easy summer read. I gave it 3.5 stars because it was fun and engaging, but some parts could have been better developed. Thank you so much to the author and Netgalley for giving me the opportunity to read the book in advance, I received this for free and I'm leaving a honest review

I loved the idea of a book featuring a female F1 driver but I definitely found that this one fell a little flat. The book follows three different couples (two more than the third) but it just felt like too much. I would have preferred to see their own stories in separate books, maybe with an overlapping timeline. Ultimately it felt like just too many storylines to follow.

This was very fast paced much like F1 but for a story it was too fast paced. It follows three different couples but I really wanted more focus on a singular couple. Due to the pacing, I barely felt I was able to truly get to know these characters and really felt so superficial to me.

Major cons that I couldn’t get past:
- cheating
- Egotistical MMC

I’m not sure why the author decided to join in so many different character storylines. They are connected by racing in the same F1 circuit but due to pacing it makes for a very disjointed story. I only loved one couple Micaela and Liam, otherwise the other couples brought nothing to the table and I just thought all of them were conceited. This might be right up some peoples alleys, unfortunately, it wasn’t mine.

Thank you to NetGalley for the eARC!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an ARC of this novel. All my thoughts and opinions are my own.

I believe the biggest mistake was trying to create, develop, and establish three separate relationships in the span of 400-some-odd pages. They should’ve all had their own book.

Mathematically, I suppose it makes sense that the vast majority of the novel primarily focuses on the couple-turned-throuple over the other two couples. Unfortunately for me, they were the ones I cared the least about. I wish the synopsis hinted at a potential throuple. I think that’s something readers should be privy to prior to picking up the book; it shouldn’t be a surprise. As someone who doesn’t enjoy the why-choose trope, the realization of where that relationship was going sullied my experience with the book.

The journey leading to Cece, Ethan, and Luca getting together felt very toxic. And although I do believe they all have feelings for one another, the foundation of how they got together left me wanting all of them to be single.

The couple I was always eager to read about was Liam and Micaela. I wish they were focused on more. I know I would’ve enjoyed this book so much more if they were the main focus and everyone else was a background character.

Brent and Paola had next to zero development. A lot of their conversations took place off the pages and we’re often given a blink-and-you-miss-it rundown of them every once in a while. I felt no attachment or even a fleeting curiosity towards them because I never got the chance to know them. The few character traits Brent did display left me scratching my head and questioning what Paola saw in him to begin with, making it even harder for me to believe their “I love you’s.”

Jocelyn’s character made no sense to me. None of the main couples (and throuple) liked her or trusted her enough to utter more than two truthful words in her direction. None of them were fooled by her. None of them gain any benefit from being attached to her the way she does to them. She mooches off of /their/spotlight, not the other way around. So it made no sense to me why they all repeatedly allowed her unfettered access into their space. It would’ve made way more sense for Jocelyn’s character to be more sly, more charming. She should’ve been written more in a way that made it unsurprising, but still feel like a betrayal.

Also, the use of public declarations from two out of the three relationships felt manipulative rather than romantic. Even though we obviously all knew the end result, the declarations were unnecessary. And the ending felt very rushed.

The book is more smut than plot, which made reading said smut feel like a chore rather than a reward. Overall, the book has vast amounts of potential, but fell flat on the most important aspect — equally developing all three relationships.

Loved that we got three romances in one! Loved the spice and loved the expert take on the F1 world, even as a novice fan, without ever feeling like I was being talked down to!

I savored Faster. As a reader, we are put in the fastest of cars, but live in the focused freedom of Andie's storytelling and world-building.

I want to a 5-10 book series of this! The world-building of a world we all love and are curious about 10/10. The subtle journey of a reader asking, “Who is the IRL version of this character?” I loved the multiple story lines. Every character had depth, and it was easy and a pleasure to root for them all. I think one of my favorite moments was when Cece, Paola, and Micaela banded together and supported each other.

Thank you to Andie for writing a book that takes our love for the sport as seriously as our love for romance.

Written in a way that reminded me of ‘Love, Actually’ and ‘He’s just not that into you’, this follows a few different perspectives and stories that are all intertwined in the world of Formula 1. There is enough F1 to keep fans happy without being too much for those unfamiliar with the sport. Alongside the multiple perspectives, ‘Faster’ touches on all of your favorite tropes as well. Age gap. Forbidden love. Co-workers. Checks so many boxes, and such a fun read!!

Absolutely fantastic. Like a proper adult romance that is so tightly written and plotted it should be studied! The author plays with tropes and conventions and just seems to be having a blast putting the characters and then the reader through it all. The absolute best F1 romance that both loves the sport and also sees its elite, ruthless, corrupt, racist corporate soul. Don’t miss this one.

⭐️ 3 – High-speed drama, high spice, questionable choices

Faster promises a hot, scandal-driven Formula 1 romance filled with forbidden relationships, spicy scenarios, and plenty of risky business, and on that front, it certainly delivers. If you're looking for a quick, spicy read packed with popular romance tropes (age-gap, throuple, enemies-to-lovers), this one hits the mark.

I enjoyed how each couple’s storyline interlinked smoothly within the competitive, glamorous chaos of Formula 1 racing. The behind-the-scenes dynamic felt fresh, and kudos for the explicit safe-sex conversations; more romances need to normalise that.

However, the book had some notable rough edges. The constant confusion around who was speaking or whose POV we were in disrupted the flow significantly. The emotional depth and character development felt shallow at times, leaving me uninvested in their journeys. The couples' conflicts often boiled down to miscommunication, which became repetitive and frustrating rather than compelling.

Certain aspects—like Micaela and Liam’s age gap—bordered on uncomfortable rather than intriguing. And there were definitely a few cringeworthy moments scattered throughout.

While this wasn’t exactly my cup of tea (I prefer deeper emotional arcs and stronger plots), it’s ideal if you’re in the mood for something spicy, fast-paced, and slightly scandalous. It might not leave a lasting emotional impact, but it'll certainly raise your pulse for a couple hundred pages.

I think this was my first Formula 1 book I've ever read. It includes three stories, separate but still connected as they all happen in the F1 world, and have many different POVs from all included (main) characters, so I think that would be 7 POVs.
Naturally, this would make me usually a little hesitant, as I'm used to 2 POVs, and I felt like I wouldn't know whose POV I'd be reading. But the author mastered this beautifully, and I was completely immersed in the F1 world from the beginning.
My favorite story was Micaela's and Liam's, who is also her ex's dad. Maybe it's because I liked the forbidden trope, but I was looking forward to their story the most.
Cece, Ethan, and Luca - I like MMF stories, but I think I wasn't as connected to their story as I thought I would because he cheated at the beginning and got caught by Cece. She followed by sleeping with Liam the very next moment, and it was a little confusing since I just started the book and didn't even know what was what. Their relationship then progresses through the story, but I just couldn't fully connect to them because of his cheating.
Paola and Brent (Liam's son, Micaela's ex) - I wished for more from the story. We get a glimpse into their connection, but it is not as the blurb says ''she was bribing him with kisses''. There was no bribing involved. She told him to start being more mature, and a couple of chapters later, they were in a relationship, but I have no idea when they got closer.
So all in all, four stars for the whole idea and how great Faster was written, and since this was my first F1 book, but if that weren't the case, maybe a star would be removed.
4 stars.
