Jarom Strong concludes his tale of an ex-supersoldier turned salvage expert. The Divinity corporation created both the vanguard soldiers and the deadly, mindless rippers that only want to destroy, for Paragon to conquer human space. In Vanguard:Nemesis(paper) Lax had met a being called the stranger who had given him instant healing even after death. Unfortunately he also started a rebellion against Paragon. In Vanguard Annihilation (paper from Second Sky) the battle brings Lax and his friends to the heart of Divinity and they discover where their technology had come from. The whole fun series is filled with violent battles where our heroes barely survive. Lots of fun with a solid ending

This is the third book in Strong's series and it does not disappoint. The space salvagers continue their quest for financial independence plus doing what they thing is right. I enjoyed the entire series and look forward to Strong's next novel.

Space Sci-fi action adventure. Reads all three books in order, it’s worth it to reach book three’s end. I enjoyed this a lot. Lax is back with his crew and love. Rebellion is underway, but there are wheels within wheels of alliances and betrayals. Where will this all end. And who is The Stranger? The book and series is brought to a very fitting end. Thank you to Second Sky and NetGalley for the ARC. The views expressed are all mine, freely given.

5 stars – What a ride!

Vanguard Annihilation was the perfect way to wrap up this trilogy. Honestly, I loved every second of it. Lax—our big, lovable Vanguard—really came into his own in this final book, and watching his growth over the series was just chef’s kiss. This one leans more into the war/military plot, but it still has all the action-packed scenes and heartfelt moments I’ve come to expect from Jarom Strong.

There were also some surprisingly thoughtful, philosophical bits woven in that added a nice layer to the story. And can we talk about the found family element? So well done—it really pulled everything together emotionally.

The plot builds beautifully across the trilogy, leading up to an ending that absolutely delivered. I’m so impressed by how well this debut author’s trilogy came together. If you’re into epic adventures set in a vast outer space world, definitely give this series a shot. Book 3 didn’t disappoint, and I can’t wait to see what Jarom Strong does next! Thanks to Second Sky books and NetGalley for the gifted ARC.
