I unfortunately DNF'd this book. I tried so hard to get i to it, but it just felt forced. At times the plot just didn't seem realistic to me and I couldn't seem to get invested into any of the characters. I think the writing style just wasn't for me!

Marines, friendships, betrayal, kidnapping and millionaires! This book has it all.
Sometimes it felt rushed and other times a simple scene took too many pages but overall really enjoyed. I liked the two MC and all the extra friends which hopefully leads to extended stories.

Only Ever You kicks off the Titan Group series with action, romance, and a strong cast of veteran characters. The story follows Luke, a former Marine assembling a team of fellow veterans, and Hazel, a food journalist whose personal crisis draws her back into Luke’s orbit.

The setup is compelling, and once the story got going, I found myself eager to see how it would all play out. The chemistry between Luke and Hazel, along with glimpses into their shared past, added emotional depth. I appreciated Hazel’s growth throughout the story and the loyalty within Luke’s team, which feels more like family.

That said, I had some issues with Luke’s character voice and emotional inconsistency, especially in how he described Hazel. Some transitions between past and present felt disjointed, and the large cast of characters could be overwhelming. I also noticed several editing errors in the ARC, which may be fixed in the final version.

Despite its flaws, I enjoyed the momentum of the second half and the strong finish. I plan to continue the series and look forward to learning more about the other team members.

Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for the opportunity to read this ARC.

I’ll start by saying that the problem wasn’t the book it was really me. I’m a big fan of romantic suspense with protective male leads, so I began reading this book with high hopes. However, despite trying to connect with Luke, I just couldn’t empathize with him, which made it difficult for me to truly engage with the story.

Amy Cole’s writing is smooth and pleasant, and I can see the potential in the story. That said, everything seemed to happen a bit too quickly, without enough buildup to form a deeper connection with the characters, especially Hazel and what happened to her sister. If there had been more emotional development and a slower narrative build-up, I might have felt more invested.

Sadly, I ended up not finishing the book. Still, I believe it could appeal to readers who are willing to give it a try!

This book totally pulled me in—I couldn’t stop reading!

Only Ever You is the perfect blend of swoony romance and fast-paced suspense. Luke, a broody ex-Marine, and Hazel, the smart, tough woman he’s always had feelings for, get thrown back together when things start to get dangerous.

The characters were super likable, and the banter? So good—fun, flirty, and emotional in all the right ways. Some parts definitely tugged at my heart, and a few plot twists totally caught me off guard.

There were a couple of small typos, but nothing that took me out of the story. Just a heads-up: it does get intense—there’s violence, murder, gunfights, and some steamy moments.

If you’re into romantic suspense with great chemistry and some solid action, definitely check this one out. I’ll for sure be diving into more from the Titan Group series.

Huge thank you to Amy Cole, NetGalley, and Gasp Media LLC for the e-ARC.

Overall a good story with good suspense. It was just hard for me to connect with the characters and invest in their story. The suspense didn’t really grab me and I just couldn’t invest as much in Theo and Hazel.

Great read, lots of suspense and action to go with the romance. When Hazel has to call on an old friend to save her sister. It’s up to him to figure out why she needs saving.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own. Thank you for allowing me to review

I had not previously read anything by this author, but I will definitely look for her books in the future! Former Marine Raider Luke Stratton has been friends with Hazel Burke, and her sister Violet, since their childhood. When he receives a panicked call from Hazel, it is to learn that her sister was in a car accident and is missing. He has been in love with Hazel for years, but still believes that his career would endanger her. Now, it is his career that might help him rescue her sister. Luke has recruited a group of former military members to form the Titan Group. The group will work independently, but also assist with the government when needed. He sends a team member to locate Vi while he protects Hazel as he is aware they may also come after her. As he and his team investigate why Vi was taken, they become aware of a conspiracy that could endanger the United States. When Hazel attends a gala event on a yacht, she is shocked when the yacht is taken over by rebels. The alarm is raised and Luke immediately begins searching for her and the missing yacht. Non-stop action, suspense and romance, but has he lost his chance at forever with her? received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation for an honest review. (paytonpuppy)

Thank you to gasp media and NetGalley for this arc.

I wanted to like this one, the premise is good. And I’m 2,000% sure this is an excellent book for the right person. That person just isn’t me. I will say I did love the main male character.. he was very genuine.

I received an arc from NetGalley and this is my honest opinion.

This books suspense kept me on the edge of my seat. The back and forth in the relationship I was over pretty quickly. I definitely want to read more about the other security members and their love stories just hope the relationships are well developed.

This book alternates chapters between Luke, a retired Marine currently setting up an operations team called the Titan Group with his fellow veterans and Hazel, a food journalist who calls Luke in her hour of need when her sisters in trouble. The camaraderie between the guys is great, you can tell that they’ve been through a lot together and are incredibly loyal. Hazel is “the one who got away”, and Luke’s feelings are reignited as soon as she calls him for help. I love how their characters develop throughout the book once you find out more about their childhood and how their friendship blossomed. The suspense and action in this book is brilliant, with the occasional bit of spice thrown in. The military and political jargon made it a little difficult to keep up at times, but overall an enjoyable read.

First off the book is third person. I am not a fan of third person and it is not mentioned anywhere in the blurb. That automatically gets a star deducted.

I loved the banter between the guys. That was my favorite part of the book. For it to be a standalone I felt like I was missing pieces. The plot of Vi being in trouble felt rushed but dragged on at the same time. It took me multiple days of reading to finish. I just couldn't get into the book like I do others.

This overlaps a little from the previous book to give you Hazels perspective. It was another great story and I loved seeing Hazel get her happy ever after. It has romance, action, and some comedy thrown in.

DNF 80%

The POV was the reason why I didn’t enjoy the book as much, it’s written in 3rd person which isn’t my favorite.

I tried really hard to finish this book but I just couldn't do it. I liked that the beginning of the book it just jumped into the story and all the action. I enjoyed the relationship Luke had with his marine friends. But this book would have been better if it was just a short novela. It was prolonged for no reason and I just couldn’t finish it.

I think this book is probably a five star read for somebody, but that is unfortunately not me. It felt like there were too many characters to keep track of and the writing style was just not for me. I ultimately DNF’d at 36%. There was too much going on and I couldn’t get invested.

two people that should be together are the two people in this book! yes please now!
Hazel and Luke know each others orbit is where they chose not to be. but when Hazels sisters is at risk she knows only one person she will be calling. Luke. Luke has experience and team that makes sure they get involved and do what it takes to get the missions done.
but Luke hasnt been ok. Luke also knows he cant have Hazel. he cant have her in danger. but whether he likes it or not she is now and he will do whatever it takes to make sure she is safe. but falling for her hard or should we see coming upfront with her and the love that never left is a risk all in itself.
is love strong enough. is love the right choice. could they be each others safety. the things they both actually needed all along? YESSSSSSS.
the interaction between these two is just divine. oh swoon me to the moon.
yes this books gives us a gripping plot. but the royal joy is from learning and reading about these two. brilliant.

First book I’ve read by this author and I genuinely loved it. I’ve ran across lots of books she’s written but never purchased. The MFC was genuine and relatable.
