Jazz spends her days working as a barista and evenings trapping scammers in her online web and taking them down. When Wolf enters her life their romance quickly blossoms but between warring MCs and assassins nothing is going to be simple for them.
The combination of the romance with the suspense aspects makes for a read that hooks you in from the first few chapters. The book was a quick and easy read. It could use a little more editing especially around some of the dialogue and colloquialisms within it.

This story follows Jazz, who works in a coffee shop, runs software for a steel company, and at night hacks scammers to shut down their systems. After she plants a large virus and shuts down a major organization she is targeted by a dangerous assassin and receives help from a local member of a biker club, and her crush.

I really enjoyed the unique topics in this story and the author was able to create "online" characters that you love without ever meeting. Each of the characters has unique flaws and characteristics to set them apart as individuals and keep them interesting. I also enjoyed her unique house, quirks, and family. I think the author did a good job of showing how health, personality, and relationships affect our lives each day.

I wish there was more of a relationship development phase before they were "in love". I actually turned back thinking somehow I missed a chapter (or seven) when it seemed they had barely been together. Wolf also was never very interested in her that much, and then suddenly pursuing her and head over heels, which was an abrupt change. One of his major hold backs was that she looked young, and we never found out how old she was to his 36. I also wished there was a more thought out, challenging resolution to the dangerous situation at the end, but it was handled so quickly for what Mr Happy's skill level should've matched, and Wolf's time out of the military and how his skills would be rusty from unuse. I also expected another chapter (or 5) after the resolution, possibly to cover her trauma (which just didn't exist), how the biker club reacted, did the Sluggers really just... give up? because according to Wolf they would've been unaware that the club was involved at all and therefore keep pursuing their business in the area, also, how did Denny handle everything once he showed up? Etc etc. The epilogue was a little lack luster for me, no interactions between her and Wolf. I also wish there was anything more about her family, they are exceptionally dysfunctional and she can barely handle a one hour dinner, and then suddenly! family vacayy!!

I do recommend this book though!! I really do, I enjoyed the concept immensely, and so many of the details were a breath of fresh air to most books. Also you just have to love Marge, and Copperpot, and even catlady50. So shout out to them.

This review is shared in exchange for a copy of the book from Netgalley and the Author, thank you!

"Ignite" by M.L. Nystrom kicks off the Iron City Knights MC series with a bang, delivering a fast paced and steamy ride that will thrill fans of dark MC romance. This book grabbed me from the start with its intriguing premise and kept me hooked until the very end.
Jazz is a fantastic heroine smart, resourceful, and not afraid to get her hands dirty, even if it's behind a keyboard. Her double life as a barista by day and a cyber vigilante by night makes for a unique twist, and it was genuinely engaging to watch her navigate the dangers her hacking brings. Wolf, as the enforcer for the Iron City Knights, is everything you'd expect from an MC hero: protective, powerful, and undeniably charismatic. The chemistry between him and Jazz is palpable from their first meeting, and their journey from wary allies to passionate lovers is well executed and incredibly hot.

The plot is packed with action and suspense. The brewing war between rival clubs and the threat of an assassin hunting Jazz's friends kept the tension high throughout. Nystrom clearly knows how to build a thrilling narrative, and the stakes felt genuinely high.
My only minor critique would be that, at times, the pacing felt a little too rapid, especially in the development of certain plot points or character relationships. A bit more breathing room here and there could have deepened the emotional impact even further. However, this is a small quibble in an otherwise strong debut for the series.

Overall, "Ignite" is a highly entertaining and intense read. If you're looking for a dark romance with a strong heroine, a protective biker, and plenty of danger, then this is definitely one to add to your list. I'm eagerly looking forward to what M.L. Nystrom has in store for the rest of the Iron City Knights MC!

🔥 Ignite by M.L. Nystrom 🔥

Ignite is the first book in the Iron City Knight series by M.L. Nystrom. This is perfect if you love dark MC romances with steamy, high stake thrills with a strong FMC and a ruthless biker.

“I don’t say things I don’t mean, babe. Ever.”

I enjoyed this book so much, finished it in less than a day I liked it that much! I loved the spin on the usual MC romances with the hacker badass FMC who still fumbles over her words when she sees a hot man!

Great paced storyline with action and just the right amount of spice that doesn't take away from the storyline. I really enjoyed the different povs though the first couple confused me until I started to get further into the book and figured out what was going on. I was pretty much hooked from there!!

“You’re not just a piece of my world, Jazz. You’re all of it.”

This was a passion explosion, gripping shock factor danger and ride or die love. I thoroughly enjoyed this and cannot wait to read more from this world!!

I enjoy motorcycle club romances and suspense, so I enjoyed this one! This was my first read by this author–I enjoyed the action and the intrigue of what would happen next, I enjoyed learning about Jazz’s side hobbies that she doesn’t share with anyone, I loved Wolf’s protectiveness. It was everything I was hoping for based on the description. Wolf definitely moved a bit fast and didn’t ~always~ talk to Jazz before making decisions, so there were a few moments that I struggled through, but I did enjoy the overall vibes, and I’d be open to seeing what’s next in this series!

I liked this book. It was a quick, fun read with a solid mix of spice and story. The pacing worked well, the writing was clean, and I stayed engaged throughout.

The characters had interesting backstories, and I was definitely curious about them, but I wish their development had gone a bit deeper. It felt like there was potential for more emotional connection that didn’t quite come through.

Based on the title, cover, and description, I went in expecting a darker romance, but it felt more like an edgy contemporary story. I’m also not entirely sure how the title ties into the plot in a meaningful way.

That said, it was still a really enjoyable read. If you’re looking for something fast-paced with some heat and drama, this one fits the bill.

Not at all a run-of-the-mill MC romance! While still incorporating the best parts of the tropes/elements that work so well in this genre, it manages to elevate the story into a loving tribute to found family. No one is perfect here but morally gray looks awfully cute. The MCs are adorable together and the suspenseful/dangerous storyline was truly engaging. Looking forward to diving into this author’s inventory and reading more of ML Nystrom’s work.

P.S. The final joke re: the bar was priceless and I’ve ordered 3 boxes of dog treats from ArcBark.com.

Wolf & Jazz 🖤
I enjoyed this book a lot!! First time reading anything by this author and would definitely recommend.

I really enjoyed the plot of the book and the spice was spicing! Not your usual MC romance but can’t wait to see more.

I do wish the chapters were introduced from whose POV we were reading as it was a bit hard to differentiate, took me reading a few lines to realise who’s pov it was.

This is my first from this author and it was a different and enjoyable read for me. ive been trying to make myself pick some random books from my genres to mix up my reads and have so far been rewarded by doing so.
we get an ex military biker and a hacker barrister for this book which made a great too and fro read. i instantly endeared myself to our FMC.
i also think the name Wolf and Jazz are really cool and like many things in the book it gives the book extra whizz to it. i loved there love and also how they were in a romance plot together but also a suspense and deeper story plot and neither outdid the other at any point just simply added to it. i loved it every time our two interacted. they ignited little fires for each other and in me too. i was doing the reader romance smile a fair few times. and the darker plot only made me root for them more and care how they'd come out of all this.
i thought this was going to be a little darker than it was and that was my initial reservation. but it wasn't and actually it made me prefer it more.it was a mystery and deeper plot rather than sinister which has been becoming far to prevalent for me as of late.
cool read. i will definitely be looking up more from this author.

Wolf & Jazz ❤️
I really enjoyed this book. This is my first book by this author and I will definitely be reading more. This is quite different from the traditional MC romance.
I really enjoyed the plot of the book and the spice didn't take away from that at all.
I do wish the chapters were introduced from whose POV we were reading.

The story features Wolf, a biker MMC, and Jazz, a barista with a hidden talent as a brilliant computer hacker. Their first meetings in the coffee shop was funny.

The romance had a bit of an insta-love feel, which isn’t usually my favorite, but it was still enjoyable in its own way. I really appreciated that the story had an actual plot and wasn’t just focused on spice. It had a nice balance of romance and suspense, which kept things interesting.

I do wish the character POVs had been introduced more clearly at the beginning to help me connect with them a bit sooner. Also, based on the cover, I expected a darker tone, but the story leaned more toward suspense than dark romance.

Swordfish meets a PG-13 Sons of Anarchy in this MC romance with a twist of tech. We've got a blue-haired hacker surfing the dark web and a tough biker with a shadowy past—sounds intense, right? It’s labeled dark romance, more mysterious than menacing, and with spice that’s present but not over the top. I’d say it’s more dimly lit than pitch black with a sprinkle of spice.

If you're looking to ease into the darker romance world without diving into the deep end, this one’s a smooth, drama-filled ride to dip your toe into.

I really enjoyed the storyline of this book, I think it could’ve been longer but for 214 pages it’s summed up really nicely and 100% worth the read.

I think the writing style is something that easily keeps your attention, there’s never a dull moment.

Thank you for the chance to read it.

Loved the story line of this book. Quite unique in it's idea. Great to actually have an MC romance that had one main MC character but teaming him with an IT genius was just a brilliant concept. Really enjoyed this book. Look forward to seeing what else the author writes.
