**Thank you to Catapult and NetGalley for the eARC of this translated title!!**

I love diving into translated fiction, especially when there are horror elements involved. Unfortunately, I am going to have to circle back to this one at a time when I have a bit more focus for literary fiction. While the opening grabbed my attention and the writing is beautiful - I need to be in a specific mood to enjoy this one.

Dropping a 5 star review as a placeholder for now as the writing is beautiful, hope to update soon!!

This was a spooky book for sure, but I just couldn't get into it unfortunately. It was beautifully written though!

Thank you to Zuzana Rihova, Catapult, and NetGalley for the ARC!

Playing Wolf was a beautifully written folkloric, psychological horror!

It gives major cult vibes and I loved it . If you’re a fan of the movies midsummar and the witch , add this one to your tbr!

I did not feel a positive thing during this book, 5 freaking stars! This is how horror is supposed to make you feel!

Claustrophobic, folkloric horror where a crumbling marriage collides with an eerie village and a missing child. Poetic and unnerving, it crawls under your skin and stays there.
