What an incredibly sweet story. I loved the way it portrayed the way we are both the same and different. Beautiful visuals as well. I would definitely purchase this for a young child.

This story was so sweet! I read it with my preschool-aged child and she loved it. The text is simple and straightforward, and the illustrations are full of joy. We sat and looked at each page for a while and my daughter had fun pointing out different aspects of each scene. Such a good message and I loved the diversity and inclusiveness.

We loved this book following nine children born at the same time, and the different lives they live and the friendship they form. It was a beautiful diverse book.

9 Little People was a sweet and adorable read with beautiful illustrations and a lovely message. The focus of diverse children living diverse lifestyles but all growing up with love and kindness is something that is really appreciated in todays climate. I can see this becoming a favourite amongst many young children and families.

9 Little People by Regina Feldmann was inspired by her own daughters observations on children's rhymes, mainly the ones that start with "10.." and often end in toes and fingers. The art style was light and inclusive- showing children and parents of all backgrounds which combined with the rhyming makes it a great read for early readers. It also helps parents with teaching about diversity early and as often as possible in a world that is becoming incredibly isolated and wrought with prejudice. After all, the 9 little people are all the same deep down, but different as individuals.

Also, Martina Stuhlberger's artwork is whimsical, light-hearted and colourful which pairs well with the rhyming and pacing of the book. There are many classroom activites that can be paired with the book, especially with the art style.

This was an adorable book with engaging graphics and fantastic representation! I loved the emphasis on the things the 9 people shared. This is definitely going to prompt some important conversations with my kids.

This beautiful read checks all of my boxes, as both a Librarian and parent! The text is inclusive and welcoming, and open to enough interpretation that prompted even my own young kids to ask questions, point things out.. engage! The illustrations complement the text in beautiful ways, and the color composition is so expertly paced. Both the story and visuals make this a truly lovely read that kids and parents alike will pick up often.

This was a delightful children's book about 9 little children, all different races/ethnicities/backgrounds. The story follows them through birth and childhood, highlighting the differences and similarities between cultures. It's a great book for small children to understand diversity. The illustrations are gorgeous, with a watercolor-like style. This is a simple but powerful little book.

Nine little babies are born on the same day and have so much in common even if they each appear to be a bit different.
The illustrations by Martina Stuhlberger (Illustrator) are complex and with brilliant colors that reinforce the children's uniqueness as well as their similarity.
Well suited for reading WITH someone of any age including ESL, and great for gifting to everyone, but especially to a school, waiting room or your local public library!

9 Little People by Regina Feldmann is a delightful picture book about similarities, differences, and friendship. The artwork is delightful with so much detail that could be explored endlessly. The story is about 9 little people who are each unique but similar in so many ways - they all have a home, they all have routines in their homes, they all have families, they all love to play and splash and blow bubbles!

The story is written in rhyme, so it becomes almost a little song or chant. I'm a believer in reading to children as soon as they are born, so this writing style is perfect for the babies.

The story itself and the artwork provide so many things to talk about and explore once the child gets a little older. Most of all, it is a great reminder of the shared similarities that lead to friendship.

I loved this book. It’s simple, it’s colorful, it’s warm, and it’s fun. I’m constantly looking for kids books that support my values, but it’s sometimes hard to find that without banging over the head with a “values message,” rather than just being part of the landscape of the book. I’m glad to learn of 9 Little People, and I look forward to buying it for a little person in my life!
