9 Little People is a story for everyone! There is a lot of positive diversity, showing how love connects us all. Many different ethnicities, family dynamics, and body-types are shown in this book. It is so important to showcase all different types of families so I was excited to see so much representation. We will definitely be adding this to our Picture Book collection.

An adorable children’s book that simply expresses how we may all look different but are inherently the same. I enjoyed the bright illustrations and the simplicity of a deeper meaning. Perfect for small children being read to by a loving adult.

9 little people is a beautifully illustrated picture book for under fives. I loved the muted design of the pages and the rhyming structure throughout. The story follows the babies as the have different experiences, grow and become friends. A joy!

Thank you to NetGalley for an advanced copy and for letting me share this story with my family. 9 Little People by Regina Feldmann is a sweet and thoughtful story about belonging and embracing differences. My 6 year old and 4 year old intently listening and captivated by the story and both agreed that they loved it. As a mother, I love finding books that celebrate being yourself, and this one does it beautifully. The illustrations are not only adorable but also inclusive and a way for all kids to see themselves reflected in a story. Highly recommend!

This was a cute little story. I liked the diversity and the pictures. But I think the story could have had a little more depth to it

‘A sweet, joyous celebration of nine unique children and their lifelong friendship.’

A very cute children’s book. It’s short and simple and easy to understand. A good starting point to talk about diversity by looking at the pictures with kids. Cute artwork.

A cute, inclusive book about nine children of different ethnicities, abilities, and social classes who become friends.
The story is very simple, and the accompanying illustrations are the true highlight. This blocky, colorful art style was very nostalgic and brought back memories of books from my own childhood.
Because there are a lot of characters, there's a lot of action in these scenes that kids could really take the time to observe and appreciate. You could read this to a child multiple times and you would both discover some new little background detail each time. This book would be fun for kids and also teach them that families and human beings come in many different forms.

Nine little babies are born on the same day. They grow up together becoming friends for life. They all come from different, unique, backgrounds but they all love each other the same.
"9 little people are rich in different ways."
It's a cute picture book to give children to explore. Not a lot of words but an efficient message. It's about friendship, inclusivity, kindness, and family, the one we have and the one we build, with friends and community.
I also liked why the author chose to write about nine and not ten little people.

This was a super cute children’s book that highlights how we are all human and are all connected no matter our race or differences. The illustrations were beautifully drawn and complement the text. I would read this with my kid and recommend to others!

This is such a lovely book! I love the illustrations and the range of diversity with the characters not only in appearance but experience.

9 Little People is an absolute treasure. Regina Feldmann writes with so much warmth, wit, and compassion that I found myself laughing one moment and tearing up the next. This story is beautifully unique tender, thoughtful, and full of heart. The characters stayed with me long after I finished. It’s a love letter to finding your place in the world, no matter how small you might feel. I adored every page.

This was a cute read, but it felt a bit short and somewhat unfinished. I downloaded 9 Little People from NetGalley to read with my kids. They seemed to enjoy it, but it didn’t spark much excitement.
The story is a quick, simple look at nine babies who all share something in common while also being unique in their own ways.
Overall, while it was sweet, but I probably wouldn’t purchase it for our home library.

This is a charming children’s book. I enjoyed reading it and would highly recommend it for all ages.

This was such a cute and thoughtful book for children under the age of 5. Even my 7year old enjoyed it. The fact that it shows you detailed illustration of 9 children coming of age and being friends is the most inspiring thing I’ve seen.

A cute and quick read showing diversity and similarities of 9 friends. The story is easy to read and follow for Littles. The illustrations are also great.

9 Little People by Regina Feldmann is a children’s book about celebrating diversity.
I’ve been looking for children’s books to read to my niece and nephews that both celebrate diversity, have good illustrations, and are interesting in some way. This book shows diverse children and their diverse families in a variety of situations with great illustrations and is accessible to children. I especially enjoyed the author’s note at the end of the book about what inspired her to create her own children’s book and what she hopes this book can be for diverse children.

Such a sweet little rhyming book about kindness and inclusion. It could be very helpful in starting all kinds of topics with children about the differences we all have.
