A fun rhyming story about nine little children born on the same day who grow up together. This is a perfect book for little ones filled with gorgeous vibrant illustrations and great diversity of characters!

The illustrations are filled with so many objects and are intricate enough that it would be fun to play I-spy with this book even if you aren't reading the story.

I will not hesitate to read this story to my baby boy when he arrives. As he gets older it would be fun to find all the dogs or all the cats on all the pages. Or look at all the kids families and talk about what makes them unique.

Five stars!

This book is so sweetly illustrated. There is much to look at on each page. Kids could find the nine children and count or they could name the many objects that they see, for example.

This book watches 9 kids as they grow from infancy to childhood. Without banging the point on the head, the book celebrates that there are many different kinds of families who come with many different backgrounds and yet have similar experiences.

This is a lovely book for a young child and adult to look at together.

Many thanks to NetGalley and NorthSouth Books for this title. All opinions are my own.

This is such a cute children’s book! I loved the bright, engaging illustrations, the diversity of the characters, and the fun rhyming throughout. It feels like the kind of story my 21-month-old will not only enjoy now but keep asking us to read again and again as he grows. A sweet, lively book perfect for bedtime or story time!

9 Little People by Regina Feldmann is a super cute picture book that follows 9 kids born on the same day and highlights activities and events they experience together. The illustrations are themselves gorgeous. This is a great book to read with children ages 4-8 (Kindergarten to grade 2).

A sweet story of 9 babies, born in the same community, who become friends forever. Kids learn all about friendship and how everyone is different but we have so much in common still - this is a beautiful way to teach our little ones all about community and encourage them to notice the amazing people who live in our neighborhoods. This book would be a wonderful gift for a new mom, for a toddler's birthday or for your favorite library.
Thank you to NetGalley for the opportunity to read this free ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I loved the diversity in this book. And my favorite types of kids books to read out loud to my kiddos are the rhyming ones. It was a quick read with a wonderful message that keeps little ones attention.

This is a sweet kids book. Nine kids born on the same day, of different races and living different lives, but they are all friends. This will be a quick and enjoyable read for young kids.

The illustrations are quite beautiful. The author also explained her inspiration in writing this book, which was quite interesting. I would encourage all young kids to get a copy in their library.

Cute story of children growing up together.

Simple illustrations and plot. This could easily be setting the stage for a series of books that do go into greater depth since this one just has the kids all playing in the same way as they grow up.

I thought this book was really cute and inclusive while I was reading it, but then my eyes really opened during the message at the end. Growing up, I didn't realize the books that refer to all 10 fingers or toes would be something that not everyone would be able to relate to... This was definitely eye opening and put other books into a different perspective for me. I'm actually really grateful I chose this book because I probably would've never realized that. My only issue would be that some of the sentences were a little hard to see and would've benefited from being a darker color than white. I'm not sure if it is more visible in the print version or not!

This is such a simple but so moving of a message book that I think really speaks to people today and is a great reminder of how everyone can be different, but everyone is the same. We need to come together today more than ever, and I love that this book emphasizes this in such a lovely way for some of our youngest readers.
Thank you to NorthSouth Books Inc. and Netgalley for allowing me to read an advance copy of this title.

9 little humans are born on the same day but takes such different paths and face unique challenges. I really appreciate all of the details illustrating different family upbringings and cultures, and yet all of the little people still live in harmony. I think that for a kid to read this and see so many different ethnicities and represented is so important. It was also wonderful to see how on each page, the 9 little people all have different days, different hobbies and activities, but they always come together. A perfect read.

This is a sweet picture book with a sweet rhyme as you watch these 9 children grow up together. The illustrations are colorful and a lot of fun to observe all the children with their families. This is an inclusive book showing children that come from all family types, race, and disabilities. My daughter loved the part where the children meet a guide dog. This would be a great book to get for a new mom's group.

Nine little people of various nationalities are born. They have diverse families, and together they represent our world. They do not know about the prejudiced world and have a childlike innocence. This is a short book with repetitive phrases that are perfect for young readers. Parents will enjoy this book because of the colorful illustrations that will keep their child's attention. This would be a wonderful addition to any family's library.

I enjoyed this book but what really struck me was the authors note at the end and their reasoning for “9 little people”. Brilliant, and smart and inclusive. I absolutely love the simplicity of it but the “big idea” of it as well. The illustrations are wonderful, the story was darling. Great work!
