This is a short and adorable account of what could possibly be going through a dog's mind at any time. In a roundabout way, having a sneak peak into a pet's mind is indicative of the bond between man and man's best friend. Not only does this title explore the relationship between a dog and its owner, but it also explores the necessity of living a life similar to a dog. Dogs always live in the present. They love unconditionally. They see the beauty in everything. This was a great way to get the audience to think about how they're living their lives - are they living a life focused more on the past/future? Are they living a life not realizing what is going on around them?
Owning a dog myself, this really put things in perspective. Our pets are not distracted by cell phones and social media; they're not judging everyone and everything around them. They are just happy little four-legged babies who love nothing more than their human, food, and play.

This book is what the title says. It’s affirmations for dogs. The illustrations are fine if not a little childish. And the affirmation that is being written in crayon can at times be hard to read. This book is fine. It’s one of those that feels like it’s being published to get your money but then you get at home and go. Why did I buy this. Like I said this book is fine.

This book was so sweet! It's a short book but it has a lot of wisdom. The illustrations are whimsical and cute. It will definitely appeal to the dog lovers out there.

The most wonderful little book of illustrations accompanied by delightful affirmations.
The artist Andrea Cáceres is incredibly talented.
This is the ultimate dog lovers must have. Would be perfect as a gift and addition to your coffee table.

Just by looking, listening, sniffing, and sensing, we can learn so much from our dogs. They don’t say, “It’s a dog’s life” for nothing. No, it seems that our furry four-legged friends have caught onto something about the ways of the world, and we muddled and befuddled humans would be wise to follow their lead.
In her beautifully illustrated and concise self-help book, Andrea Caceres has brought to life the wisdom of dogs through a series of affirmations. If your dog could stand in front of a mirror and manifest what they want from the world, what would they say? From, “Nap time will not be disturbed today,” to “Today, I deserve infinity pets,” Caceres brings humor and heart to our dogs’ lives, reminding us to relish in the joys of the simple things and to never pass on the opportunity to have a little fun, a long nap, or a tasty treat.
Accompanying each affirmation is a positively adorable illustration of a dog bringing forth what he or she wants out of life. The illustrations feature a wide variety of breeds and are the best part of this heartwarming book. Who doesn’t love to look at cute cartoons of dogs?!
This book would make a wonderful gift or personal purchase for anyone who loves dogs and needs a little reminder here and there to be more like them. For anyone who has ever loved a dog, this book is a sweet reminder that this is their world, and we’re just living in it … and loving every second with them.

The dog illustrations were adorable (my main reason for requesting the arc), the affirmations were somewhat unnecessary though.

This book is quite adorable. The illustrations are cute. The affirmations get to the heart of dogs' personalities. Good book for dog lovers.
I'm not an affirmation type person but this is a winner when it's coming from dogs' perspectives.

Dog Affirmations is such a lovely book. I love the watercolor type illustrations and the subtle humor in the affirmations. A great book for any dog lover

I found this book to be very cute! As a dog mom myself, this is the perfect book. It gives a humorous glimpse into the mind of a dog, how they see the world and how they view their humans.
I also loved Cáceres' little insights thoughout the book of how their dog Tobi changed their life, and the impact he left on them.

4 stars
Cute little book with wise affirmations from our furry canine friends (like, “Today I will find the biggest stick.”) The illustrations are gorgeous.
