Jori is a trainer for dogs that are used by veterans. When she is paired with Lauray, or Law as he prefers, the sparks fly. He was a trooper, and a solder who suffered a loss of his leg from a bomb. He also suffers from PTSD, and while he is not impressed with his golden retriever/poodle cross dog, she is just what he needs. A good story of solving a mystery from the past and dealing with corruption as well as falling in love. Highly recommend.

I read this one a while ago and am not sure why I never posted my review about it.......Jori trains dogs to for vets with PTSD. She has had a rough past thanks to her ex fiance. Now she just wants to be left with her dogs and no complications. Law is a vet who is now a State Trooper. He struggles with the loss of his K-9 partner and struggles more accepting Sam. However with Jori's help he'll get there.

My issue is that the relationship sort of lacked. I can see Jori's side but at some point I would have just slapped Law. He's rude, mean, and just treats her like a doormat to put it nicely. The story though was intriguing with more focus on the dogs. We even get Sam's POV for a time. It was interesting in that regard and that brings the story back.
