This wasn't like an amazing classic or anything, but it was a fun little title that would be a great pick as a "beginner book" for young readers who feel too old for picture books, want to read cool graphic novels, but probably couldn't make it through a longer graphic novel like Diary of a Wimpy Kid or Dog Man. The story is very short and simple with colorful, popping illustrations and all in a graphic novel format. I do think kids would pick this book up and enjoy it. The illustrations show a diverse group of kids with superpowers working together to solve problems on their first day of school.

A fun graphic novel/comic style type book. Kids enjoyed the art style more than anything. Kids feedback was that it was about catching your pet and they wish they had superpowers to catch their dog when he escapes the house. Easy to read for a 2nd and 3rd grader. 4th grader deemed it too easy to read “like a “baby book”. Kids took away lesson of “not paying attention can cause something to go wrong.”
All in all a cute comic type book that the kids loved.

These students are truly super and so are their superhero costumes and powers! And can we add that STAN is the teacher! Are the kids being guided by the one and only Stan Lee?! Kids will fall for this graphic novel and its bright colors and representation of all kids and all powers. The only thing that would make this graphic novel better is if it is the start of a series! And kids will LOVE the illustrated versions for the author/illustrators and their silly bios.

This book is perfect for young readers! It's super fun with lots of colors and great illustrations. It’s the first day of school in the Super Students books, and the class pet goes missing! The Super Kids use their special powers to find it. It's a quick, exciting story that kids will love. Thanks to Norse-Gael Books and NetGalley for the Advanced copy in exchange for my honest review.

Need a new story for the first day of school?? Well this book is a perfect story for students to giggle, and practice procedures for story time. I had fun when reading this story of children super heroes who had an exciting first day of school. Their pet hamster, maybe not so much of an exciting day. This is a great story for all elementary age levels!

My 7 year old is having a blast tearing through graphic novels right now, and I was really excited to share this with her. She read this in one night she loved it so much. She loved the characters and felt like she could totally relate to how they felt. I plan on doing a reread with her at the end of the summer as well!

A cute and quick read of a super hero graphic novel for young readers and those who are starting school.
The super students in Stan’s class have many powers. A diverse cast of characters.
Highly recommend to teachers and parents of young ones.

I enjoyed spending time with the Super Students! It was a cute, lighthearted introduction to life as a superhero student. This will make a great addition to our collection and I know my students will love it!

So many cute designs and costumes. The illustrations are so beautiful and powers are new and creative ❤️ Love the inclusivity and think it’s great book for kids. The meet the team page is also very helpful and adorable

As soon as I finished, my daughter said, “Can you read that again? I loved it!” It was a super cute book with wonderful illustrations. I love how every person had a different power but they had to work together to solve the problem. I recommend this book. Thank you to NetGalley for the arc in exchange for my honest review.

The Super Students: First Day of School by Ariane and Todd Erickson
On the first day of school the class pet goes missing and Super kids must use their abilities to search for and capture the sneaky pet.
Illustrations were excellent. Lots of colour and fun, quick story.
Thanks to NetGalley for ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This is a cute comic that would be good for kids starting school for the first time or for young kids starting at a new school. It’s short and simple. The super hero theme is fun and engaging. I could see this providing an opportunity for kids and grownups to talk about first day of school concerns in a fun and silly way. I could also see this as helping to build confidence in nervous kiddos. This teacher approves!
