I was sucked into Analeigh Sbrana's world in Lore of the Wilds, and hadddd to know how things ended in Lore of the Tides. This book takes us on a wild ride, with Lore navigating undersea politics and a love triangle, all while trying to find the sun book so she can help her people. It was whimsical, it was adventurous, it was romantic, and it plot twists I did not see coming. What a fantastic conclusion!

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️. 5

Lore of the Tides is the second and final installment of the Lore of the Wilds duology. It swept me right back into its enchanting world—and I was hooked from chapter one. The pacing felt different than the first book; the magic, emotion, and high-stakes adventure made it a good read. This conclusion packed in all the action, heartache, and twists a fantasy reader could want.

I was fully invested in Lore’s growth. Her strength, persistence, and refusal to back down kept me cheering her on. And can we talk about the love triangle? Somehow it worked. I didn't expect to be sold on it, but here we are. The emotional complexity added so much depth, blending perfectly with the themes of betrayal, hope, and resilience.

The world-building in this book? Lush, layered, and spellbinding. You’re dropped into a magical realm so vivid; you can practically taste the sea air and hear the rustle of enchanted forests. From sirens to scheming Fae, from magical texts to shifting loyalties, this book has everything.

Marcella Cox shines as the narrator. Her performance beautifully captured Lore’s inner voice and emotional evolution. While I did wish for a secondary or male voice during a few key moments, Cox’s delivery was so strong it barely mattered. She held the entire story effortlessly. This duology wrapped up in the most satisfying, magical way, and I already miss the world.

A huge thank you to Harper Audio and NetGalley for the ARC and ALC opportunity.

I received an ARC Audiobook from Netgalley of this book. I really enjoyed the narrator, I could follow along and understand the reading clearly.
You'll enjoy this book if you like Fae, Sirens, Magic, Betrayal, Love, Strong FMC, Morally Grey MMC, Grumpy but puppy for her MMC.
We follow Lore after the ending of LOTW, she's being held prisoner along with another Fae male, in order to use her Source of Magic with the magical book Deeping Lune to find the sister book, Aurora. She goes on a journey throughout the realm to find Aurora, fighting for her freedom once again. Her adventures lead her to new places and new people, some good and some bad. She stays fighting for her and the human's freedom from the evil Fae that continue to threaten them, never giving up her hope or newfound strength. Lore is such a strong character, and I love her perseverance.
I loved how this book is filled with so much magic, world, and character building. You're really enveloped in the world surrounding Lore, both underwater and above.
This was a great ending to the duology!

I weirdly feel like you could read a quick summary of the first book and skip right to this one. I love a cozy fantasy but the first book is too slow in my opinion. But all the action is in this one. I can't believe this book won me over on a love triangle. I truly did not mind?! I loved the layers to the worldbuilding to this one as well. Unfortunately the FMC reads very young. This book is not YA, there's on page spice, and this isn't a commentary on the writing type or quality, she just is literally young and for me personally it was hard to stay interested at times. But I'll read this author again.

Also the narrator did an amazing job. She's the best part of book one and brought the same energy to this one! Thank you to Harper Audio for the ALC.

Yes, Finndryl finally has his moment!! I loved him in book 1 and am so glad we get more from him and we got to discover his magic together.

Lore Alemeyu was such a fantastic fmc. I loved her power, courage and resilience. I would love for a follow up novella just to check in on all of them in Zeryara.

The narration is perfection and the writing was beautiful. The perfect combination of folksy and adventure with a side of romance.

I was so confliced on Syrelle. Because of the scene with the library deal in Lore of the Wilds, I somehow picture him as an ancient being and I just cant root for him after the manipulation.

Enter Sirens. I loved part 2 of the story the most. The Queen and Prince Hazen were so entertaining. I loved experiencing more of this world past human and fae too. The stories and personalities of each character really made me feel as if I knew them all personally.

I think its interesting that Lore gets called a "witch" as if there are not lots of magical creatures around. Orc's, fae, Sirens, griffins and dragons but yet, a human being a "witch" is the type of being that gets hate.

Marcella Cox does a fantastic job making this book feel both wholesome and full of adventure and wonder!

The second and final installment of the Lore of the Wilds duology was just as fun and engaging as the first! I found myself enchanted by the first chapter! I had a small issue with the pacing of this one compared to the first, but overall, I really loved it! Narrator Marcella Cox also did a lovely job bringing the characters to life and keeping me locked in to the audio of it. 4⭐️

Thank you to Harper Audio and NetGalley for the advance listening copy of the audiobook.

Marcella Cox beautifully brings Lore to life. Her narration is spot-on and gorgeous, and kept me listening.

Sbrana's world building is phenomenal, and I loved the mythology and history. Exploring more places and cultures in this book was one of my favorite things about it. I would love to read more stories in this world in the future!

The relationships between the characters felt a little immature and wasn't my favorite, but I also appreciate that not everything is for me! I will definitely recommend this to folks looking for a New Adult Romantasy.

DNF @ 14%.

Don't hate me for this but I just don't think I vibe with this Author. I read the first book and was left a bit disappointed by the overall feeling of this series. I thought I'd give book 2 a shot to see if maybe it got better for me, but unfortunately it didn't.

This isn't to say she's a bad author or that the books are bad! The books just aren't for me, and that's totally okay!

This is the authors debut series, so maybe I'll check her out again after she writes a few more books to see if it's a better fit for me then.

I’ve been waiting for this release and it did not disappoint! Lore of the Tides picks up right where Lore of the Wild left off, diving deeper into Lore’s journey of self-discovery. Lore and Finn’s bond is the heart of this story and it’s beautifully written. Their love story bloomed in the most magical way.
The underwater kingdom was very detail and the siren mythology was a perfect touch to the world building. Overall, this was a captivating read that I’d highly recommend to lovers of fantasy.

The book was amazing but the audiobook just brought it to life for me! The narrators were perfect and didn’t give too much at all although there were times I needed to speed up the book because it seemed a bit slow. Other than that I truly enjoyed it. What a sequel!

Stunning. Lore of the Tides was immersive, lyrical, and beautifully narrated. Analeigh Sbrana’s performance pulled me under like a riptide—the perfect match for a story that’s both magical and haunting. A must-listen.

**I read the book while also listening to the audiobook so my reviews will match**

Audiobook review - The narrator did such a great job with this audio! Honestly loved her voice. I listened to the audio as I read through the book which made it such a great experience. I always love hearing what certain character's names or places are pronounced and if I was saying them correctly in my head lol.

Book review - An absolutely epic ending to this series! There was so much to love about this book - the world building was fantastic! Loved the addition of the underwater kingdom and the sirens. I loved how Lore really came into herself more in this book, how she used her intelligence, her drive and her strength to help her people. Lore and Finn are a match made in heaven. Loved seeing their story and their strong connection take hold in this book. Finn is such an incredible character. He is so in tune with Lore's needs and loves her so unconditionally. He was always rooting for her, since the very beginning. An absolute standard! Not gonna lie, I was a fan of Finn & Lore since book 1. I was so happy to see they were end game.

I found this book had a faster pace than the first book and there was a lot of action. I loved the world Analeigh created for the Sirens; they were really interesting and it almost felt Atlantean. This was a good conclusion to the Lore of the Wilds duology and I look forward to reading more of Analeigh's work in the future.

Marcella Cox did a great job narrating the story, she has a great pace and I felt the words she was reading. I found the lack of pronunciation of the letter "l" hard to decipher at times, in both books. There were moments I had to rewind to try and figure out what was being said, oldest sounded like Otis, and I couldn't for the life of me figure out who Otis was and where he came from.

I loved this continuation of Lore’s story. Lore of the tides left me on such a cliffhanger and I couldn’t wait to dive into this one! It did not disappoint and I personally liked it even better than the first book. The romance was built perfectly and the adventures she goes on were so fun. Can’t wait to see what Analeigh writes next!

Thank you Netgalley and HarperAudio for giving me the opportunity to listen to this wonderful story ahead of time.

3.75 stars

I must admit that I was lukewarm about Lore of the Wilds, but I decided to give the sequel a chance. I genuinely felt that the writing had improved significantly compared to the first book. I particularly appreciated the absence of a prominent love triangle, although I didn’t find the romance in the story particularly captivating. However, I must say that the adventure was well-crafted and thought-provoking. One aspect that truly stood out for me was Analeigh Sbrana’s vivid description of Lore’s hair and the meticulous care she took to maintain it. This aspect is not often depicted in fantasy literature, making it a unique and memorable element of the story.

Audiobook review:
I thoroughly enjoyed Marcella Cox’s narration of this story. Her inflections and tone were incredibly expressive, bringing the characters and their emotions to life. I thought her pacing was wonderful.

I don’t honestly know what to say except Yea! Yes! Yes! I was so excited for this title and it didn’t not disappoint. Returning to the world of Lore and her adventures and love/hate triangle. Was just what I needed. The Book hangover is real! This book is a fast paced adventure with love, magic and action! We absolutely stand a strong, smart book girlie that stands up for her people and then males that love her. I will definitely be recommending this one

Thank you to NetGalley and Harper Audio for an advanced listener copy in exchange for an honest review!

Lore has been betrayed. Everything she worked for has fallen into chaos. She wakes up on a ship in the middle of the ocean with nothing but the clothes on her back and the fae she can’t stand. As Lore desperately works to find a way to free her people, she is thrust back into the world of fae to solve one more problem. Find the sun book. The issue is, it could lead to bigger betrayal and less help for her kind. Will Lore be able to find what she seeks or will she drown in the tides?

I wanted so much from this book. I truly adored the first one. I loved being back in this world and experiencing a whole new setting with the ocean coming into play. The biggest issue this book has is it feels like it meanders. The first book felt like we were going at break neck speed while this one stopped at every pit stop along the way. I wanted to enjoy this book but I often felt myself say, okay and then what happened? I don’t feel like the plot was well organized and there was too much trying to happen that didn’t feel relevant to the overarching story. Maybe I’m being a little too hard on this story and need to give it another chance later on, but as of right now I’m settling on 3/5 stars.

The narrator did an amazing job. I really enjoy her overall. If I rate solely on the narration it would be 5/5 stars!

The Important Highlights
This is the conclusion to Lore of the Wilds. This duology is a romantasy with BIPOC characters and an immersive, magical world. This book has sirens! You can find the following tropes: found family, enemies to lovers, feminine rage, and a love triangle.

My Unhinged and Messy Thoughts
I thoroughly enjoyed this one. Any complaints I had with the first book, were absolutely fixed in this one. I received the ALC of this, so I will touch on the narrator: she is fantastic. I really loved the narrator (for both books) and will absolutely read more books that she voices for. As for the story itself, I think it did a great job at being different from the first, while remaining true to the duology/story. I loved the setting and the characters in this one. I really enjoyed the political intrigue in this duology. This was fast-paced,

In Conclusion
I may actually read these again, this time with my eyeballs. I will definitely be reading anything else the author releases!

Lore of the Tides by Analeigh Sbrana is the final installment of the duology Lore of the Wilds. It is written in third-person POV. Narrated by Marcella Cox in solo narration.

This picks up where we left off and Lore is being held prisoner. Her trust was misplaced and now broken, she's unsure of how she will get out of this. I couldn't determine if I was supposed to root for Syrelle or Finn, and my heart was constantly in a state of anxiety.

It is a love triangle with Black Fae, Sirens, and elemental magic. It is originally enemies to lovers hits heavy with the Found Family trope. The femme rage is top tier and I love it!
