Wow! What an adventure filled conclusion. I am sad that this series is just a duology rather than a trilogy... I hope the author writes other stories within this world.

This is the second book in this now complete duology. The first book I devoured and was all kinds of feelings at the end with cliffys. So here we are jumping in and our strong FMC Lore is fighting her way thru it. Our mmcs are still just as frustratingly loveable and we are on a new quest that involves cool underwater scenes. I loved the imagery in this one and would love this as a movie. I want the kiss so I can explore this underwater library. The challenges were interesting and I was shocked by a few events and scenarios. The ending of this book was quick and I didn't want it to end. I kinda hope this duology gets more but I'm also happy with how it ended.

Sadly I didn’t not enjoy this follow-up. It was boring and not as captivating as the previous book, it fell horribly flat. At one point I forgot who she was fighting for, the reason behind and also the magic that she came to wield. The Narrator was good, clear and understandable.

i really enjoyed this duology!! it is perfectly whimsical & easy to follow along with. i really love the narrator for the audio, it really added to the story for me!

"You broke my f***ing heart, and now I question everything... everything."
♡ Feminine Rage
♡ Love Triangle
♡ Found Family
♡ Sirens
♡ "Let Me Adore You"
♡ Completed Duology
I felt so bad for Lore at the end of book 1, and I shared in her hurt and anger in this sequel. She endures more than she should have to, but she wasn't about to let any man come between her and saving her people.
"She would take everything from him. She would be his utter ruination. And then, she would set his entire beloved kingdom on fire."
Finndryl, the man that you are! THAT is a ride or die man that is loyal to a fault. I've been rooting for you since book 1, Finn. 👌
This is a slower paced, more character driven type of fantasy. The plot did seem to lose direction a bit in places, but it all came together in the end.
The audio narration was decent. I give it a respectable 3.5, simply because the cadence of the sentences were off more often than I would have liked. Pause breaks in the wrong places, that sort of thing.
"From the moment I met you, all that I was, all that had been, was undone because all that mattered- was you."

Lore of the Tides
by Analeigh Sbrana
Narrated by Marcella Cox
About the book 👇🏽
Alice Storm hasn’t been welcome at her family’s magnificent private island off the Rhode Island coast in five years—not since she was cast out and built her life beyond the Storm name, influence, and untold billions. But the shocking death of her larger-than-life father changes everything.
Alice plans to keep her head down, pay her final respects (such as they are), and leave the minute the funeral is over. Unfortunately, her father had other plans. The eccentric, manipulative patriarch left his family a final challenge—an inheritance game designed to upend their world. The rules are clear: spend one week on the island, complete their assigned tasks, and receive the inheritance.
🪸 My thoughts:
"In that moment, they were ships passing in a typhoon, each locked in their own tempestuous voyage. His heart was an unknowable vessel, one without a flag or standard, no insight to articulate, with certainty, the veracity of where he stood. Her own heart ached for the storm to subside. For safe harbor."
This was one of my most anticipated books of the year! After reading Lore of the Wilds I seriously could not wait for book two. Finally here, and it was quickly devoured. The narrator did an incredible job bringing this story to life and keeping me immersed in Sbrana’s story telling. I was curious to see where this one would take us after the first book. This one was adventurous, full of exploration, and scenes that’ll make you FEEL. And I am not just talking romantically but there was a moment where even I was angry. I have to say, Sbrana really knows how to tell a story! If you enjoy duologies that have a strong FMC, found family, and love triangles, you need to pick this one up. Lots of the Tides is out TODAY 7/8/25!
Happy reading 📖🪼✨🪸

Thank you to NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for early access to this book in exchange for my honest review.
Unfortunately, Lore of the Tides just didn’t work for me. I was intrigued by the premise and had high hopes after enjoying the first book, but this sequel fell flat. The pacing felt rushed, the plot was often confusing, and the emotional stakes just didn’t land the way I expected. It lacked the magic and depth of the first book, and I struggled to stay engaged. While I’m disappointed, I still appreciate the chance to read and review it.

What an excellent ending to the Duology!!! It was such a twisty adventure! I read it in one day, it was so hard to put down!
I was torn who I wanted Lore to end up with through both books, but I am very happy with her choice! Plus we got a bit more steam in book 2 😏
I was so intrigued how the story was going to play out in book 1, but by book 2 it had become an insatiable need to find out all the things. There were so many different paths that all nicely converge together. I loved the whole journey and was on the edge of my seat for a good portion! Also the narrator did an incredible job!

Thank you at @netgalley and @harpervoyagerus for the audiobook arc. All thoughts and opinions are my own!
My thoughts: Lore of the Tides was a fantastic conclusion to this story. I enjoyed the prose, the magic in the world, and the character development. I enjoyed the expanded world, going from the forest to the seas, and how vividly Analeigh Sbrana described all of it. I felt that the characters’ growth was more substantial in this part of the story. The emotional ups and downs of the story were described in such a beautiful way. I could feel Lore’s frustration, sadness, and bliss. The writing is detailed, vivid, and at times intense. Analeigh Sbrana wanted you to feel and see what Lore was feeling and seeing, and it translated.
This book does have spice in it, and you can feel the yearning and desire of Lore and her MC. I won’t say who because I don’t want to spoil it. But I enjoyed how the MC supported her, saw her strengths, and encouraged her, and he wasn’t some hero helping a damsel in distress.
This unique world, magic, and characters were so interesting and vivid. If you enjoy fae magic, vivid worlds, romantic tension, female rage, and found family, this series is for you!

Happy publication day, sorry it took so long to give feedback. I read the first 25% on my kindle and I was having a hard time, so I requested the audio since I’m an auditory learner. That being said, thank you so much for approving this.
As predicted, I loved this story in audio form. Every issue I had was worked out, and I thoroughly enjoyed this title.

This book was so good!!! it completely pulled me in from start to finish! I was hooked by the high stakes and the intensity of Lore’s journey, both inside and out. The internal battles were just as intense as the physical ones. You could really feel her wrestling with her emotions, constantly torn between what her heart was telling her and what logic demanded. That emotional tug-of-war added a complex layer to her character.
The writing was so freaking vivid, so descriptive and immersive that I felt like I was right there beside her, breathing the same sea air, feeling the same tension, and holding my breath through each turn of events.
What really got me, was how much I connected with Lore’s internal struggle. That feeling of not knowing who or what to trust, but still pushing forward toward something bigger than yourself…that hit close to home. Granted, my challenges don’t involve magic or the literal weight of the world, but the emotional resonance was real. This story had depth, and heart, and it left me thinking after I finished it.

I would like to thank the publisher for sending me an audio-arc in exchange for an honest review through NetGalley.
After the events of the first book, Lore has set the humans free from one hell, but to truly free her people she finds herself forced on a dangerous quest to find the sun book. And while she'll have to face the betrayal by the fae she thought she could trust, and deal with a crew who doesn't trust her and the magic she can do, finding the sun book won't be easy. She will have to navigate threats both on and within the ocean and its depths to find the sun book before it's too late. But with her heart on the line, Lore will be forced to make decisions that could change everything.
I really shouldve reread book one before jumping into this because there's a lot that I don't remember. With that being said, I really liked this sequel. Maybe I'll reread both later this year because WOW. Not only was this world already unique, but this book doubles down and gives you different settings and characters while also diving further into the characters from book one. Lore is so torn up over everything, and instead of allowed herself time to feel she's forced into this next mission without any chance of breathing. And its literally one thing after another. There's so many twists and reveals that it left me breathless for sure. The romance was well done, though it also gave me whiplash, and when I thought things were going one way, it took a turn and did something I didnt expect. Which also annoyed me, but that was more due to the fact that my heart was being crushed. I loved the adventure and the new places we explored here, and while I won't give any spoilers, I will say that this was so different than what I normally see in books, which is why I do feel like this book might have actually been better than the first in a lot of ways. Overall, fantastic conclusion to this duology. I can't wait to reread it.
I would also like to add to my audiobook friends -- this was well produced, and the narrator does a great job bringing this book and the characters to life. I would definitely recommend it.
Actual Rating: 4.5 stars

this book was more than I could hope for. After leaving us with a bombshell cliffhanger in Lore Of The Wilds, Analeigh continues Lore's story in a way that stays true to our FMC but really shows her character growth and how is becoming strong for herself and as a leader.
This book introduces us more into the magic of this world and its realms and we get to explore more places. I loved getting to meet more characters from different classes and to see the vast differences between these places.
Analeigh does an amazing job of taking from history to add a layer to the oppression Lore and the humans faced in this book. I also really enjoy that these added details allow each reader to interpret Lore's trials differently.

Reading format: Audiobook 🎧
Overall Rating: 3.5 🖤rounded up up to 4🖤
Before we get started, can we get a little commotion for the cover? Absolutely stunning 😍
Overall thoughts:
“I choose you. I will always choose you.”
One thing that really shines in this book is the budding romance. I’m not a huge romance girl, but I was really looking forward to the eventual tipping point of when they’d finally be honest with each other. Once we reached that climax (pun intended) our mains allowed themselves to be vulnerable, both regarding the betrayal they suffered, as well as their fears. The patience and reassurance that follows, between both parties, is really well executed in my opinion. Minus points for how many times our MMC growled though. 😑
Outside of that, I really liked the vivid imagery and the detail that went into bringing the lush sceneries to life. Additionally, the diverse cast is what drew me to the with the first book, so I’m glad that see that carried through this story as well.
Critiques: My biggest issue with this one is the pacing. At times the story felt so slow and at other times, things were much too rushed. We spent so much time preparing for the final showdown. Then, when we got there, it was over fairly quick and was a bit predictable. I have a lot of thoughts about the ending but I do appreciate the closure we got.
Overall, this was a satisfying ending to Lore’s story and I look forward to reading more from this author. Thank you to NetGalley and Harper Audio for the ARC. Lore of the Tides is officially out on 7/8/25!

Analeigh Sbrana’s Lore duology is a beautifully written and deeply immersive romantasy full of lyrical prose, rich magic, and an unforgettable setting. From enchanted forests to ancient courts, the world feels both ethereal and dangerous, pulling the reader in from the very first page.
In Lore of the Wilds, we meet Lore, a 21-year-old woman drawn into a tangled web of secrets, power, and forbidden magic. She finds herself in a complicated love triangle with Syrelle and another suitor, but neither romance fully lands in the first book. Lore’s voice feels young at times, and the contrast between her immaturity and the book’s explicit content can feel slightly disjointed. That said, the writing is so gorgeously descriptive and the world so captivating that it’s easy to stay engaged.
Lore of the Tides builds on that foundation with more emotional weight and narrative focus. Lore must confront the betrayals of the past while navigating new threats and shifting alliances. Her dynamic with Syrelle becomes even more layered as they are forced to work together again, their relationship charged with lingering feelings and unresolved tension. At the same time, her friendship with Finndryl begins to evolve. Will one of these relationships become a tender and deeply emotional romance, adding another dimension to her journey? The emotional stakes are higher, the pacing is tighter, and the magical world continues to unfold in stunning detail.
The audiobooks, narrated by Marcella Cox, add even more beauty to the experience. Her narration brings Lore’s voice to life with grace and emotion, perfectly matching the lyrical tone of the prose and enhancing the immersive quality of the story.
Together, these two books tell a story of trust, betrayal, and transformation, all wrapped in beautiful prose. Perfect for readers who love lush settings, morally complex romance, and heroines finding their strength in the most magical and treacherous of worlds
Thank you to Netgalley and Macmillan Audio for the ALC in exchange for my honest review!

After the way Lore of the Wilds left off, I was anxious to see what would become of my favorite characters. This book was filled with character development and hard-won battles. If you thought Lore couldn’t be put through more strife, buckle up. She claws her way through horrible circumstances to save her people. I admire how she picked herself up after going through many nightmare inducing scenarios.
This book highlighted how fear can turn into a dangerous weapon against yourself or others. Fear of those different to what you believe in led to Lore facing such horrible discrimination and hardship. Fear imprisoned the humans. Being afraid and doing it anyway was a big theme in this book. Lore and the humans especially had a tough journey in this. I liked that the healing that came after hardship was focused on by the people. It was a beautiful message.
I enjoyed the romance in this book as well. I like how Lore handled and untangled her feelings before jumping in. She’s stronger than me, that’s all I’ll say. I love how supportive the relationship was. They made each other stronger while also being a safe place to show weakness. I love them so much!
I love that the same narrator as the first book was used. She did a wonderful job embodying all of the characters. They felt distinct while listening. I could pick out who was talking without it being mentioned. The audiobook was produced well. I highly recommend listening to this book if you can!

What an adventure!!!! This was a great conclusion to the Lore duology!
I absolutely loved Lore of the Wilds and Lore of the Tides is right up there with the first! The ending of Wilds left me absolutely stunned and was so excited to get back to this story. There was so much adventure in Tides, I was loving all the underwater settings!
And most of all, I loooove the love triangle! This one is really done well! Because at some point, I am rooting for everyone! I love the conclusion and who she picks, I love that Analeigh also mentions seeing a different timeline where they all did work out together.
Audiobook notes: the narrator does a great job since she is the one doing all the voices! She does a good job doing different variations to help give each character their own voice. I loved the audio for both Wilds and Tides! Definitely recommend the duology on audio!

This book started out well. I picked it up on a whim after it was recommended by a friend of a friend, even though I hadn’t read the first one. I was very prepared for it to go either way. Some books are good at getting you up to speed, some books are not so great.
I spent about three hours straight listening to the first half of the book. I wasn’t lost, I was enjoying myself. I liked the characters, although I didn’t love anyone.
I put the book down because I had to do something… and I never picked it back up. I tried a couple of times, and I just wasn’t pulled in like I was before. I don’t know if it was the lack of momentum, and maybe if I had listened to the whole book in one go I would have stayed hooked (although that’s impractical) or if the second half of the book isn’t as good as the first half.
Either way, I DNFed this book at 55%.
Thank you NetGalley.

I think this was a good ending to this duology overall, but could have been 50-100 pages shorter. A lot of the middle felt really repetitive, which made the story drag a lot even though there was a lot happening. I also think that the pacing of the end wrapped up wayy too quickly - it felt like there need to be a little more in between all hope is lost and happily ever after.
The magic system of this world is so interesting, especially for Lore. I wish there had been more around that overall, but the way the source worked in this was very unique.
I do think that narrator for both this and the first book did a great job with them - her voice fit both Lore and the story really well.
Thank you to Harper Voyager, HarperAudio, and Netgalley for the advanced copy!

Thank you to NetGalley and HarperAudio for an advanced listen of this book in exchange for an honest review!
Unfortunately for me, this book was a DNF at 48%. I read other reviews that said that it picked up in the back half but I just didn't feel compelled enough to keep listening. I wasn't connected to the characters. Ultimately there were just too many other books I wanted to get to. I didn't know how long it would take for me to force myself to finish Lore of the Tides, and I didn't feel like forcing myself to listen in the first place.
I also listened to Lore of the Wilds. I wasn't blown away by it, but I was intrigued enough by the ending to want to see where the story went. I was hoping what I didn't like of LotW would be resolved in Book 2, but it just wasn't. I didn't buy the chemistry or romance between any of the parties of the love triangle. And while LotW read and felt like YA throughout, including the intimate scenes (from what I remember), that wasn't the case with LotT. Don't get me wrong, I am a fan of spice. I read open door romances regularly. And honestly, the scene I heard in LotT wasn't bad. But it absolutely did not follow the flow of the book. It felt shoehorned in and almost felt jarring.
A pet peeve of mine in fantasies is when modernity is poorly interwoven into stories that feel set in the past. This popped up several times, especially in the dialogue, of LotT. It wasn't obvious things like someone saying "slay queen" but it stood out just enough to feel odd. And once I pick up on it more than a few times in a fantasy, there's no way for me to not notice it.
I also struggled with the narrator. I don't dislike the narrator - I think I'd really enjoy listening to her narrate a contemporary YA/new adult romance. But I just couldn't get with her delivery of a fantasy. She did change voices for different characters, which I always appreciate, but there's a certain amount of vocal variation and animation I expect in fantasies that I didn't find here. Her delivery outside of character voice changes felt very flat. Or at most, like what an average person reading a book would sound like. I didn't feel like I was listening to a voice actor.
I wish I loved this book. The fantasy genre in particular is sorely lacking in diverse voices, and it was exciting to see a fresh perspective and concept from Sbrana. For me, it unfortunately missed the mark on its execution.
Overall, at 48% I found myself only listening because I felt like I had to. I wasn't paying close attention, I knew I was missing plot points, and it just wasn't drawing me in.
