didn’t expect to reach nirvana via Namaste Club, but here I am—spiritually unwell and absolutely loving it. I devoured this book in a day because I was riveted. Every character is a walking red flag wrapped in yoga pants, but Carol Anne? Blessed, oppressed, and downright GOLD. She was so perfectly written I had to put a bookmark in and physically show people like, look at this insanity. Every character is spiritually toxic, and I was deeply aligned with the chaos.

This was so entertaining, like a messy reality show! The characters were well developed and had unique personalities so it was easy to get pulled into all their drama. I appreciated that the audiobook had a full cast and different actor for each character. It really brought the story to life.

This was super fun. A total satire of Miami south Florida life! I enjoyed the story but I felt the ending lacked…it was just over. Like nothing happened until 91% then done. But the story leading up to it was great.

YES. Just yes. This book is everything I love in a story, reclusive retreat, isolated with people who don’t know each other. From the first sentence in this book, I was pulled in by the characters. The author does a great job of making the characters feel like your friends. I also really enjoyed the theatrical and exaggerated traits of some of the less likable characters. If you want a book that does a great job making you feel like you are in the book, I highly recommend. I’m excited to read other books by this author!

Set at Florida’s exclusive Namaste Club yoga center during Transcendence Week, this story follows a cast of South Florida burnouts: newly divorced Indira and Jessica, silent Barbara, hiding-out Carol Anne, dreamy instructor Daniel, and even Bubba the resident twelve-foot alligator. With short, snappy chapters and multiple POVs that are easy to follow, it’s both sharp and silly in all the best ways.
As someone who practices yoga, I loved the many relatable moments that made me chuckle (but you don’t need to be a yogi to enjoy it!). The audiobook was fantastic, the different narrators did such a great job bringing this colorful cast to life, and made the humor even better.
If you’re looking for a breezy, laugh-out-loud listen with biting social commentary, The Namaste Club is the perfect pick.

(4.5 stars) well this was a pleasant surprise!
This book was insanely funny! I was laughing out loud from the start and then gasping in surprise at the ending.
A yoga/wellness retreat for patrons to restore and relax with a side of murder! This book had literally everything.!
What I loved: the humor, the southern charm and Florida vibes. The audiobook had a wide range of narrators for the different characters which was great to keep them differentiated. What I didn’t love: the hint of politics. I prefer to read to get away from the world. But it wasn’t the whole book which was good.
All in all, this book is a bit of a hidden gem and I’ll be recommending it to my book loving friends.

Oh, my fellow audiobook lovers, if you're looking for a listen that's utterly captivating and completely different from your usual swoon-worthy tales, you have to pick up The Namaste Club! While it's not your typical romance, this audiobook is an absolute riot and a perfect escape.
Imagine a luxurious wellness retreat in Florida, filled with a cast of wonderfully eccentric and delightfully flawed rich ladies – including the fabulously wealthy Indira, her bestie Jessica, the silent heiress Barbara, and the very unique Carol Anne from Vero Beach. And yes, there's even a "toned, man-bunned apprentice yoga instructor" named Daniel who certainly adds to the... scenery.
What makes this such an irresistible listen is the sharp wit and hilarious send-up of the wellness world. You'll be chuckling out loud at the antics and the sheer audacity of these characters. It's got that delicious "rich people behaving badly" vibe that's just so much fun to dive into, with a dash of suspense that keeps you guessing. Just when you think you've got it all figured out, the story takes a turn you absolutely won't see coming.
So, pour yourself something refreshing, settle into your comfiest spot, and let The Namaste Club whisk you away. It's a smart, suspenseful, and surprisingly charming listen that's perfect for a summer escape!

This is a fun one for anyone who enjoys a more lighthearted murder mystery. The weaving (an unreliable) narrators were a great device. You see several events through multiple characters eyes. I'm still not sure some of the characters motives, which means it was a good book. I think this is a great pageturner.

Thank you to Harper Audio for the gifted audiobook!
I was so excited for this book after loving her debut, PINK GLASS HOUSES!
A lot of the elements/vibes are the same as her first. We still have crazy characters and over the top drama, but unfortunately this one was lacking on the plot aspect for me. I was waiting and waiting for something exciting to happen for most of the book and it never really came.
I feel like I knew each of the characters well enough by the end, but they were all so one-dimensional and the same several facts and characteristics were repeated about them each over and over. It became so repetitive at times that i was wondering if I was reading the same section twice.
Overall, I was disappointed in this one, but will still read what she writes next!
2.5 stars rounded up for GR.

The Namaste Club by Asha Elias (book cover is in image) is aptly described as White Lotus meets Nine Perfect Strangers. With its ridiculous tropes of some of affluent Arch-types in of both the left and right wings of the US political system, it had me laughing out loud throughout.
The full cast of narrator made this an enjoyable listen, giving each character an unique voice. I had access to the eARC and ALC and was easily able to transition between the book and audio.
Thank you, William Morrow, HarperAudio Adult | HarperAudio, and NetGalley for the opportunity to read the eARC and listen to the ALC. All opinions are my own.

This novel embarked on a true test of adventure between strangers. A journey for best friends and individuals alike…brought together through yoga. Moments of “did she just say that?”… a good chill read with a twist I didn’t see coming… Florida, rich and bougies… alligators and snakes… let’s not forget the gun totting woman. This surely got me with a crazy twist… The narrator brought the characters to life with individuality… some you’d like meet and some…”I’m good “… Although, guilty pleasure.. the cover makes me want to join The Namaste Club!

The Namaste Club by Asha Elias is really entertaining! I’ve read some reviews saying Carol-Anne is a caricature of a Republican wife, but I don’t see it. To be honest, none of the characters are likable, which seems to be the point; several women are conservative, and several are liberal.
I also like that there isn’t a mystery about who the alligator got, but rather an unraveling of who these people are and what brings them to the retreat. Since no one is likable, I found myself shaking my head, rolling my eyes, or flat-out yelling at my phone at the absurdity of these women. The cattiness was funny without being over the top, and it was nice when some of them came together to help another. I wouldn’t say there was actual character growth, since it’s a weeklong retreat, but it was nice to see them empower each other when it was needed.
Jaime Lamchick, Amanda Dolan, Soneela Nankani, Sharmila Devar, Dani Martineck, Carrington MacDuffie, and Stephen Graybill are a good cast - so good that when one character spoke for another, it was a little confusing.
Thank you to HarperAudio for providing me with an ALC.

Thank you Harper Audio! I loved last summer's PinK Glass Houses and The Namaste Club, and the excellent voice acting in this audiobook, were a perfect follow up. I can't help but love frothy rich people problem stories, particularly when they hover right on the fine fun line of satire/dark humor and snarky edginess. Asha Elias nails this tone, and the fine line, and delivers a perfect summer read/listen.
Read if you like your yoga retreats with a side of drama, messy secrets, and characters you love to roll your eyes at. The Namaste Club brings together a chaotic cast—sex-positive besties, judgmental trad wives, and heiresses on silent retreats—for a week of supposed healing on the Florida coast. Sure, the yogi-speak can be a bit much, but the catty clashes, backstabbing, and surprising emotional payoffs kept me fully entertained. Think Big Little Lies meets a mindfulness retreat gone off the rails. I listened to the audiobook and loved the narration—it made the wild moments even more fun. A juicy, fast listen perfect for fans of character-driven popcorn thrillers with just enough heart.

Talk about Namaste... more like "na ima stay my ass at home" because this is one yoga retreat center that I would not want to visit.. Holy drama. The Namaste Club starts off with a brand, hooks you immediately and then the drama just keeps you coming back for more and more. It's a steady to faced paced read.

The characters are all diabolical. You have your typical "holier than thou" woman, you have two best friends (who are also pretty terrible to one another), who are divorced at the retreat, an older woman who took a vow of silence, the yoga instructor, the cleaner and the only male yoga student. Theres sex, drama, betrayals and so much more. I always enjoy a bad people behaving badly kind of books so I was into it. This really reminded me of an episode of housewives or something like that. I also loved the ending with all of the twists she pulled out of no where.

I listened to this one via audiobook while reading my physical copy and it was narrated by a full cast, which is one of my most favorite ways to listen to an audiobook. Jaime Lamchick, Amanda Dolan, Soneela Nankani, Sharmila Devar, Dani Martineck, Carrington MacDuffie and Stephen Graybill were incredible. I love what they did with the story. If you are thinking of picking this one up be sure to check out the audio.

If you're looking for something fun, something good to read in the summer, some kind of mystery/thriller, then look no further, this one was a fun but wild ride. Be sure to check this one out! Huge thank you to NetGalley, Asha Elias, Harper Audio and William Morrow for the ALC and ARC in exchange for my honest review.

This was a fun, low-stakes read with just the right amount of chaos, and I’d expect nothing less from a story set in Florida.
The multiple POVs were a bit overwhelming at times. With so many perspectives, it became harder to stay anchored in the plot or feel truly connected to any one character. I actually think the story would’ve packed more of a punch and added a layer of myster if it had been told from just one character’s point of view.
That said, the satire absolutely delivered.. If you’re looking for something entertaining that doesn’t take itself too seriously—but still has something to say about influencer culture and the commodification of self-care—this is worth picking up

I loved this!! As someone who loves yoga and attends classes regularly, this made me laugh out loud. You truly meet all kinds of people in the yoga space and I thought this was such a fun way to depict that. Plus, we love a full cast audio narration!!!!
On a more serious note, I also loved the emphasis on and exploration of the idea that we all contain multitudes. We are all the yin and the yang. The good and the bad.
I also really enjoy the “Goodbye Earl” energy of the ending.
Thank you so much to NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for this ARC!!

Honestly, impressed! Didn’t see the twist coming until the end and it was still pretty layered! I’m forever grateful for all the different narrators, as there were a lot of POV’s to keep track of. The satire was excellent and up-to-date, the character development was awesome and the narrators themselves did a fabulous job.
The only downside to this book - so many characters to keep track of. If you like The Paris Apartment or The Favorites this style book would be for you! JUSTICE FOR BUBBA.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to listen to and review this book in advance of it’s release.

The Namaste Club by Asha Elias was a hilarious, fun and entertaining read.
These group of ladies who keep you so engaged and laughing.
The writing that hooks you immediately.
And this phenomenal story that keeps hooked.
I ate this book up.

What an intriguing premise for this book. Nine Perfect Strangers meets White Lotus. The audiobook had a wide variety of narrators so that helped bring unique identities to each character but as the story progressed I started to lose track of who was who and as each new character takes their turn to speak. There’s a cringy character that is not given much in the way of redeeming qualities and it was a bit of an over the top description. Didn’t feel nuanced but rather stereotyped. It didn’t feel like smart writing and served as the outline of a villain. This character is political and even though it’s not my political preference it still felt like a hollow characterization.
Since the book started with a Florida man death and only 1 man gets introduced… it was just a matter of what happened not who it happened to. There’s a huge emphasis on Yoga as the title eludes to. This will appeal to some and possibly turn off others.
I wanted to like this more but I would say it’s a beach read with a light emphasis on woman’s fiction.

About the book 👇🏽
"This smart, suspenseful tale with an I-didn't-see-that-coming ending is an irresistible page turner, as if White Lotus collided with Nine Perfect Strangers. A summer must-read."— Rochelle B. Weinstein
From the author of Pink Glass Houses, another delicious beach read about rich people behaving badly! The Namaste Club is a sly and hilarious send-up of the wellness industrial complex, rich ladies doing yoga, and all things fabulous and Florida.
🧘🏽♀️ My thoughts:
I had such a good time with this one! This was a hybrid read/listen split up equally between the physical book and the audiobook. The entire cast was just too good, making it a completely immersive experience. I was laughing and having the best time with both versions of the book. I really found this to be quirky and meandering but in then best way possible. I have yet to read pink houses but it is high on my tbr, especially now! The Namaste Club is out tomorrow 7/1/25!
Happy reading 📖🧘🏽♀️✨
