I absolutely loved this tease & the book overall! Kierse & Graves are completely fascinating, addicting MCs. The sh...tuff Lorcan pulled was so horrible and confirmed him as the bad guy in my mind. I hope we get to see how the Druids are going to change with their new leader in the third book

This was too much of a tease! LOL I immediately wanted the rest of the book. I appreciated getting a sneak peek, and will definitely be purchasing this as soon as I'm able to.

Because this was not a full book, I do not feel comfortable leaving a more detailed review. The 8 chapters I had access to were interesting, well written and well paced. I think it was a good set up after the first book.

What a teaser! I cannot wait now to read the rest of the book! Graves and Kierse are endgame for me and I love reading about their interconnected lives! I have a feeling so much more is going to happen between them and I’m here for a HEA!

This sampler gave us the first eight chapters of the sequel to the Wren in the Holly Library and it definitely jumped right back into the chaos of Kierse and Graves and the swirling madness that surrounds them. We find Kierse in Paris, about to embark on a new job stealing some serious bling from a fancy party but she finds herself face to face with the one person she was avoiding since leaving New York: Graves. As he begins interfering with Kierse’s plans, the pair become intertwined once again.
This sampler ended leaving you wanting more, and once the book comes out I will definitely be finishing it and hopefully a matching special edition for my Fairyloot version of book one. Thanks for the sampler!

I enjoyed this exciting and intense romantasy story.

I’m intrigued in what is going on with the main characters and what their journey will be after reading the 8 chapters offered by Entangled.

This teaser absolutely pulled me right back into the world: the tension, the magic, the MCs angst? I’m all in again. Even with just a few chapters, the stakes are already high and the vibes are immaculate. It’s such a good setup, and now I’m just mad I don’t have the rest of the book yet. Bring on volume two!

The Robin on the Oak Throne by K.A. Linde
I was really excited to read the second book in the Oak and Holly Cycle, as I had pretty much devoured the first book, so I made sure to get myself a copy of the second books as soon as it was released. I have to say, I really enjoyed it, but it did really feel like a middle book, with some fillers that I feel I didn’t really need.
Still, I had a fun time. It was enjoyable to see Graves and Kierse back at it again. I just loved these two. And we still see a lot of the other characters we had gotten to meet in book one. Some we are definitely happier to see than others.
Overall, it was a fund read. I read it in like 24h, with the help of the audiobook. I’m already dying for the next book, and I will definitely have to check out her other story in this world. Hopefully, we’ll get to know when book 3 comes out soonish

I absolutely loved the first book of the series and was so excited for book 2- and it didn’t disappoint! I love the lore and magic in these books. I was very concerned how Graves was going to get back into Kierse’s good graces after his lies and betrayal in the first book, but I loved how their relationship unfolded and how she truly chose him despite all the outside factors. Speaking of those outside factors- Lorcan?! I don’t know how to feel about him, in some instances I really liked him but what he did to Kierse and her magic is almost unforgivable.. almost, I guess I’ll find out in the next book. But also, how are you going to break our hearts with that wedding scene?! I cannot wait for the next installment!

Thank you to the author and publisher for the eARC in exchange for my honest opinion (and of course I had to buy myself a physical copy because it’s perfection!)

Thank you from the publisher for the 8-chapter sneak peek.

I enjoyed this book. I was glad that she and Graves linked up again to work together on another mission and that they were able to reconcile. I wasn't worried that she would end up liking Lorcan. I feel like the part of her that is attracted and affected by him is the mate bond. I feel like that's different than true love. Sure, mates can have true love, but I am a steadfast Graves and Kierce shipper. This book was definitely packed with action. There were a few slow parts, but for the most part, I was engaged. I also noticed there was more spice in this book, and I was here for it! The ending was a showstopper for sure! And that ending! Wow! I cannot wait for book three.

I can't get enough of this series. I am enthralled from start to finish every time! Everything I loved about The Wren in the Holly Library stepped up a notch in The Robin on the Oak Throne. The heists, the spice, the twists, and the lore. I can't wait to see what happens next!

THE ROBIN ON THE OAK THRONE by K.A. Linde is the second book in the Oak and Holly Cycle series. I read a preview of this novel, which consisted of the first 10 percent of the book via netgalley, and I am anxious to get hold of the rest of the novel as it took seconds to drawn me
back in. Kiersten was back to stealing on her own since she had left Graves in his Holly Library. She had discovered that he had known the truth about her magic and identity and withheld it from her. However, while she was in the process of trying to steal a magical piece of jewelry from the Queen of the Dryads, Graves popped up like a bad penny. To Kierse’s chagrin, he became essential to successfully completing the task. No sooner than he had helped her then he withheld information from her again. I am not sure what direction the novel will take, but it seems likely that Graves would find a way to enlist Kierse’s help in obtaining another Celtic magical object in such a way that she will feel powerless to refuse. I can attest that the first several chapters are very well written, sufficiently exciting and intriguing, and full of the snappy banter between Kierse and Graves that made the first book so engaging. I would definitely recommend that readers of fantasy and romantasy read this book. This preview gives every indication that it will shape up to be as enjoyable to read as the first book. While I cannot tell with any accuracy with such a small amount of the book consumed, it did seem it could be possible to read this book without reading the THE WREN AND THE HOLLY LIBRARY first, I do believe that it would be best to read these books in order.

Thank you to the publisher for the 8 chapter sneak peek! I love a sequel that gets right back into the story and that’s exactly what this one does. Just from this preview, I already know that this book will deliver. Fans of The Wren in the Holly Library are in for a treat!

The Robin On The Oak Throne
K.A. Linde

‘He was easily the most beautiful nightmare Kierse had ever seen.
"Graves," she whispered.
"Unhand my wife."

Fantastic! Loved! Give me more!

"Does it please you to think I am omniscient?"
"I bet it pleases you."

I literally need to continue this story and these sneak peak eight chapters just reaffirmed my love for Graves and Kierse.

“Perhaps you are correct and I did underestimate you. You are much too like Graves."

I LOVED the first novel in this series and this second one delivered JUST AS MUCH as the first!! One of my favorite things about this story is the side characters. Sure the main are fabulous as well, but a story truly comes alive to me with that found family atmosphere. I tore through this and I am so thankful I was able to read it as an eARC.

This is only a review of the first 8 chapters. The start of this book is really good, Kierse opens the book on a job and starts with action immediately. Graves also makes an entrance very early into the book despite the turmoil between them at the end of book 1. This preview ends at a good place where you definitely want to continue reading!

I am wrung out in the best way! Kierse is still the most imperfect yet perfect baddie! Graves is even yummier, and I did not think that was possible!! Do not get me started on Lorcan, I want to tear him apart with my bare hands!! Nate... oh Nate. This book took me on a ride that was twisty and emotional. Waiting on book 3 is going to be sooooo hard.

Ok, this is to review the first 8 chapters that were available on netgalley. So, huge thank you to Netgalley and the publisher. I will update as I finish the book since I immediately went out and bought it after reading these.

I thought we got off to an interesting start, and was so super surprised that Graves was introduced into the mix so quickly. He's trying and I am skeptical.

WHAT A SEQUEL! I didn’t think anything could top the first one. The characters are so amazing and they keep growing. I can’t wait for this series to continue.
