Where do I begin?! Initially, I received an ARC for the first 8 chapters of this book, but I realized that wasn’t going to be enough so I went out and bought a physical copy. I loved the plot of the first book, so obviously I had to come back for The Robin on the Oak Throne. And let me just say, I was giggling over Graves and Kierse’s interactions from the very first chapters. I don’t want to spoil anything but…I giggled so hard my husband thought I was insane. Now that we know who the key players in the series are, this book has so much building upon the main characters and storyline but also the supporting characters. I loved all the details and also, the representation of cultures and identities! K.A. Linde is a sorcerer because the story kept me guessing and MAN, the last part (part 5) had me gasping for air. I mean, there’s so much story and conflict left and I NEEEEEED to know what happens next! This is one of those books that truly left my gasts much-a-flabbered. 12/10 will come back for more!

"The Robin on the Oak Throne" is an exhilarating follow-up that dives even deeper into a world brimming with ancient magic and modern-day intrigue. From the very first page, K.A. Linde plunges you into a high-stakes adventure packed with cunning heists, unexpected twists, and electrifying magical confrontations.

The characters truly shine here. Kierse continues to be a captivating protagonist, showcasing impressive growth as she navigates challenging revelations about her past and faces increasingly complex moral dilemmas. The dynamic between her and Graves is undeniably the heart of the story – their chemistry is palpable, a thrilling blend of tension and undeniable attraction that keeps you completely hooked. The supporting cast is also incredibly well-developed, adding richness and depth to the narrative. I can't wait to read more!

The opening chapter of Robin in the Oak Throne immediately pulled me in with its lyrical prose and rich world-building. There’s a quiet tension beneath the surface, hinting at deeper magic and hidden truths still to come. The setting is atmospheric and immersive, and the author sets the tone beautifully for what feels like a captivating and emotionally layered journey ahead. I can’t wait to read more!

I totally loved the first 8 chapters and can’t wait to dive into the remainder of the book. This is a 4 star review until I can read the rest but really love the character dynamics.

Picks up shortly after The Wren in the Holly Library immediately gets going. Chapter 1 has your first heist and by chapter 8, you're already 2 heists in AND caught up on the events after the first book. A solid start to what looks to be a 4-5 star book. First 8 chapters feel fresh from book one so it keeps me guessing. Looking forward to the whole book!

This is definitely a title I have been looking forward to since I read book 1 a year ago! 7 chapters is a TEASE and I immediately went and bought the book!! It made me gush that Graves reappeared! And already their tension is coming thru and I am ready for them to be together again!

I devoured the first 8 chapters of The Robin on the Oak Throne and I’m already hooked. K.A. Linde knows how to craft a world that pulls you in immediately with clever banter, high-stakes heists, and that delicious enemies-to-lovers tension that fantasy lovers can’t resist.

Kierse is everything I want in a heroine: sharp, stubborn, and with just enough vulnerability to make you root for her. And Graves? He’s the perfect morally grey warlock mysterious, dangerous, and impossible to ignore. Their chemistry leaps off the page.

This preview sets up an epic magical heist and hints at a rich world of powerful monsters, twisted alliances, and secrets from Kierse’s past that I need to know more about.

If the rest of the book is anything like these opening chapters, this one’s going to be a standout in the romantasy genre. Can’t wait for the full release!

I have been anxiously looking forward to the second book and these first 8 chapters did not disappoint! We pick back up with the story of our favorite warlock and Wren. Kierse is currently in France, although she’s stationed in Ireland looking for ways to understand her past so that she can understand her future now that she’s discovered she’s a Wisp. But of course, she finds herself in over her head as she attempts to steal a bracelet from a Queen. Luckily, Graves is there to help get her out of and perhaps into more trouble. We already have a fast chase through the Goblin network as they search for answers. We end this preview with a spicy scene between our two favorite characters and it shows us that while Keirse may be trying to fight her attraction to Graves…they are meant to be together as the Wren and the Holly King. I cannot wait to read the rest of the story!

I am very excited to get back into this series after reading the first 8 chapters. The ending of book 1 was difficult for me, so this has helped me to be more excited to keep going.

Excuse me while I RUN to the story to buy the full book! I think The Robin on the Oak Thrones has the potential to be even better than the first book in the series. I am absolutely loving Graves in this book so far. I am curious to learn more about Kierse's character and her abilities now that she knows that she isn't human. I love cover and sprayed edges on this book, who ever designed them did an amazing job.

I will be posting a full review when I finish the full book on fable, goodreads and storygraph under the name dragonlilly16.

I loved the first installment, and the second book was amazing!! Such an addicting world of heists, monsters, found family, amazing characters and so much more! I honestly wasn't sure what Kierse's next move would be after the first book, but I was pleasantly surprised with the events that happen in this book. We get to see more of Kierse and I very much appreciated seeing her vulnerable and watch her battle with her past and possibly heal from it. Graves, *sigh* he's the villain you want to dislike but can't and Lorcan *side eyes* He makes me not want to trust anyone. LOL
This one has me flipping the pages quickly towards the end to see what will happen next! I cannot wait to see how this series will end. That ending, whew!! It had me on the edge of my seat.

Such a great preview to the book- left me even more excited to read the rest of the book! I have the beautiful hardback to continue on and also put the audiobook on hold at the library. Excited to continue with Kierse and Greaves' story.

Felt pretty meh with this preview so not planning to pick up the full title. I think this author's style is just not for me! Will recommend it to those who enjoyed the first in the series though.

I was allowed to read the start 8 chapters early and I cannot wait to continue this story. The Robin on the Oak Throne starts off strong from the first page. You are immersed straight into the action with a heist. The writing pulls you in and keeps the reader engaged, again, I cannot wait to finish this book!

Thank you Entangle for the teaser!

Okay. I finally feel progress. The first book had me confused and ended right where I was starting to feel invested in the story and characters. These first chapters have me excited to see what's to come.

This book starts off a few months after the ending of the first book. We start off running with the second book in this series. Kierse is still pissed at Graves and running around trying to gain entry to the Goblin Market. She ends up agreeing to steal a bracelet from a fae queen and ends up in a tight spot where Graves pops up much to her chagrin. He then decides to help her complete her job by introducing her to the Queen, as his wife. She gets the bracelet and they book it! They got found out quickly. They head to a friend's place for a hideout; The Warlock of Paris.

The quick pacing just drags you along for the ride better than the first book did. I still find it odd to wrap my brain around her being a Will'o'Wisp just because of how I'm used to them being portrayed. It still fells very much like an Urban Fantasy story but at the same time we need more clear details about 'The Monster War' and "The Monster Treaty" because all the supernaturals get lumped in as monsters, which I didn't love the first time around. Regardless I'm eager to get my hands on the full copy of Robin on the Oak Throne.
