Ahhh! These chapters were so good! I can't wait for the full book to come out. This series is excellent - the perfect mix of worldbuilding and character depth that pulls me in and holds me completely hostage long after I finish the book. KA Linde's writing is just so gorgeous in a way that fully feels like a movie going on in your mind. The dynamic between the main characters has so much tension and banter that I was kicking my feet, wanting the rest of the book. Not only is the cover as gorgeous as the first, I love how they follow a pattern. I can't wait to get a physical copy!

KA Linde is for fans of: Meghan Quinn, Bridgerton, Jennifer L. Armentrout, Sarah Maas, Carissa Broadbent

These chapters were 5 out of 5 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thank you so much to KA Linde, Entangled Publishing, and NetGalley for the amazing opportunity to read this preview! ✨

Eeeek!! I truly love getting to sample the next book in a series early. It always helps me know if I need to reread the first book prior to jog my memory or not.

Thank you Engtangled Publishing, K.A. Linda & NetGalley for the preview. I can't wait to pick up The Robin on the Oak Throne on release and dive right in!

Read ARC of First 8 Chapters: Graves is truly the MMC you love to hate and hate to love. This next step in Kierse and Graves story starts brilliantly. Can we trust Graves? Who is telling the whole truth? Is Kierse being too guarded or is Graves scheming with her as the center of his schemes? With edges of sexual tension and Kierse coming up against what is new with her magic this is bound to be a rollercoaster.

I swallowed that sample whole within an hour.

The magical artifacts, the general thievery, the bickering dynamic, trust issues and I am set. I want the rest of the book. NOW!

The Robin on the Oak Tree is a fast paced thrill. The characters, despite their superhuman powers and abilities, have some talents that seem a little out of the norm and I loved them for it.

As someone who is not a fan of romantic plots, I knew I wasn't exactly going to have a happy relationship with this couple. I liked their working together. There is chemistry but other than that, I could only ground my teeth with the FMC in general. I liked some parts, I didn't like some parts, The parts I am not up for, I know some people who would absolutely devour it. Getting that out of the way, holy......... moly! I loved the plot.

Loved. Loved. Loved the plot. I am absolutely here for the chase that's going to ensue. I am enamored.

P.S - one less star because of romance. Personal choice really.

Tropes so far:
-Fake Marriage
-Unique Magical system
-One bed
“Graves” she snarled. “I love my name on your lips.”
Baby one thing Mrs. Linde is gonna do is deliver is great world building, well paced chapters and some tension and anguish. Whew that one bed!!!!! That one bed trope is gonna undo me everytime. Graves & Kierse are back on a heist to find another relic but this time kierse is doing it for her own desires (mostly) and I’m loving every bit of it!! I love the back n forth between the two it’s undeniably that they’re meant to be. Although Kierse is still unsure whether she can fully trust Graves after him keeping very important information from her about who she is and his true intentions in The Wren in the Holly library, their bond is certain. Ughhhh so ready for the entire book to be in my hands!!! Great preview I know this book is gonna be spectacular!

Although I enjoyed The Wren in the Holly Library when I read it last year, I was unsure if I would continue the series. I’m glad that I received access to the first eight chapters because I have enjoyed the start of The Robin on the Oak Throne. This second installment seems like it will be a fun escape; monsters and thievery may be exactly what is needed to distract from a stressful time.

I love seeing Kierse in her new Era, traipsing Europe to find what she needs. Enter Graves. Kierse is not a happy camper and for good reason—it seems he is up to his old antics of being the stoic who keeps information close to the vest. But let’s be real, he keeps calling Kierse his wife… confusing much? But hey! Maybe it’s foreshadowing. I can’t WAIT to finish this book when it comes out on Tuesday.

“Graves,” she snarled. “I love my name on your lips.”

We really jumped right back into the action with Kierse and Graves. But now we are in Europe. Time for one more heist together: get the magical cauldron. But of course it won’t be easy. The eight chapter preview I received has me dying to get my hands on the full story! Two more days until release. I got my Libby hold ready to go. I’ll be back soon with my full review.

Wow! A world that has magic and magical creatures is absolutely enough for me to want to read this book! This was a preview of the book, and I loved the intensity of the plot hit! I absolutely need this book!

I’ve only read the first eight chapters of The Robin on the Oak Throne, and I’m already spiraling. The worldbuilding is lush without being overwhelming, and the political scheming feels like watching a knife fight in a palace made of glass. Every conversation carries weight, and every alliance feels like it could explode at any second.

Robin is exactly the kind of protagonist I lose sleep over. They’re sharp, guarded, and clearly carrying enough trauma to burn down a kingdom. I don’t know if I want to hug them, fight them, or swear fealty. The emotional undercurrents in their scenes hit hard, and there’s this constant feeling that something huge is coming.

The supporting cast is also stacked. You can already tell the author knows what they’re doing with dynamics, secrets, and slow reveals. I’m suspicious of everyone and trusting no one, which is exactly how I like my fantasy.

I loved the first book in this series, so I was excited to dive into the sneak peek of The Robin on the Oak Throne—and it delivers! The opening chapters pull you right back into K.A. Linde’s vivid world, with Kierse and Graves’ chemistry as sharp and charged as ever.

Their reunion is full of tension and unresolved feelings, especially as Graves keeps introducing Kierse as his wife—half teasing, half serious. The banter is a highlight, but the emotional stakes feel even higher this time around.

If these early chapters are any sign, this sequel is going to be just as gripping and addictive as the first.

This preview was excellent and just makes you crave the book more! Can’t wait to deep dive back into the world and I really hope we get more of the training and magic the wisp, high priestess and Druid and what they can do when the combine their powers.

If the first 8 chapters of The Robin on the Oak Throne are any indication of how the whole book is going to be, it will be amazing! So excited for release day!! Thank you to K. A. Linde and NetGalley for the opportunity to preview the book.

I was sad when I finished this ARC preview. I desperately wanted the rest of the book. Just like The Wren In The Holly Library, this was a wild ride of the first 8 chapters of book 2. It left me longing for more. The characters still jumped off the page and the atmospheric writing had me hooked.

The first eight chapters throw you straight into the action with magic, danger, and undeniable chemistry. Kierse is bold, reckless, and determined to survive in a world that keeps pulling her deeper into its secrets. Her dynamic with Graves crackles with tension—equal parts attraction and mistrust. As the plot unfolds, the stakes get higher, the lore deepens, and the line between ally and enemy starts to blur. It’s fast-paced, addicting, and filled with just the right amount of emotional pull and mystery to keep you hooked.
