I like the main focus of the book. George is a cat with lots of different thoughts. He loves birds and sees his boxes as his own castle, which gives him a very creative and imaginative personality. But next to that the story is very interesting, the drawings are a bit questionable? If it has been drawn by someone then that is so cool! Sometimes George has blue eyes, sometimes black. Sometimes he has stripes and sometimes he doesn’t? And the picture with the icecream is just off with his paws! Thats why it has 2 stars for me. It is a picture book so the drawings should make sense.

What a sweet book! What George Thinks When He Sits Still is the author’s love letter to her cat George and is a beautifully illustrated and very peaceful read. This would make a lovely bedtime story for children as the words are so calm and the pictures so cute but I’m sure all cat lovers would enjoy it. The message encouraging quiet, stillness, imagination and connection with the world around us is good for us all in a busy world, and you can’t help but feel more relaxed after reading it. Lovely!
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for a copy in return for an honest review.

A very cute picture book about a cat and its thoughts. I loved the illustration style, it was adorable!

A beautifully illustrated book about George the cat and his musings.
As a cat lover I smiled so much, recognising the universal language of cats that the author has conveyed so brilliantly through words and art.
You can tell this was written with love, and it was a gorgeous way to start my morning.
Highly recommend if you love cats.

A gorgeous little children’s/young adults book on the importance of cats, slowing down, mindfulness, and love. The illustrations were exquisitely drawn. A very sweet little hygge book.
