“It sounds like velvet folding into a smile”. This might be the prettiest thing I’ve read in a long time.
I’ll be honest, I really liked the concept of the book and the illustrations, it made my heart really warm, made me want to have a cat of my own. However, it is true that there are a few sentences and illustrations that seemed a bit off and weird (like the person in bed missing their upper body or the extra leg while eating ice cream).
This unfortunately makes it look like it’s AI generated and that takes away all the magic of the book. I’m sure there are a lot of real artists out there that will happily illustrate this story.

WhenI first saw this I thought it was a sweet concept but upon reading and looking at other reviews I discovered a strange AI art style and odd turns of phrase in a very simplistic style picture book. I’m not convinced this isn’t a product of AI.

Oh my goodness this is so cute and sweet, okay again thank you so much netgalley for the opportunity to read this.
I think this book is a children's book for adults and I'm down for it. I have to say that I love cats and George is so cute and unique.
Well so in this book the author talks of course about George the cat and a little bit about everyone. Now is when you ask me what are you talking about, I think this book is so relatable in so many parts.
And I don't want to spoil everything.
So I will recommend everyone to read this book because it's so good and is a short book.

When I stay this broke me. I cried for thirty minutes, it was beautiful. The writing moved everything along with the beautiful artwork. Couldn't recommend more.

The premise was very cute so I went into it very excited. However, I wad disappointed to find out that AI had been used extensively in the production of this work. The text felt odd at points and the illustrations devoid of emotional connection and human warmth. I am very sorry to see AI taking over the book industry.

Cute story, weird images. There were pages where a tail was growing out of a box or a patch of grass. Flowers growing out of the top of flowers, apples floating in a tree.

Page after page, it became increasingly clear that AI had a part in making this. From the inconsistencies in the illustrations of George the cat to the text that jumped from one thing to the next all the time with no apparent story. Very disappointing.

While reading, I thought this was a very cute and cozy little book, mainly advertised as a children's book, but doesn't have to be exclusively for younger audiences as it conveys a sweet message to everyone.
However, I felt there was a little something off about the artwork, and looking it up confirmed it was made by AI.
AI doesn't belong in creative spaces. It's a shame, really, since it makes the whole story seem soulless and takes away from the personal connection to it, when it's such a cute concept and could've been made with love by an actual human being.

THIS WAS SO ADORABLE !!!!
I am absolutely obsessed with the style of drawings!! Even though it’s technically a children’s book it was still very good, especially the drawings.
Since it’s a graphic novel obviously we can’t expect plot from it, however the idea of the book and the cozy vibes were executed perfectly.

Sweet, cozy, and heartfelt. This book is purrfect for fans of cats (or just animals in general), kids who enjoy the quiet, or kids who may like to find some more quiet moments in their life. This book is brimming with love.

AI or not, this was a cute read and a nice reminder that sometimes it’s okay to not do anything at all.

Well… I have doubts about the authenticity of this book as well. Some illustrations are well done and others you wonder if AI isn’t doing the job. Overall, for the story and the general look, it’s really cute and positive…. But, I might be wrong and it’s the artist style, but, some details indicated that it isn’t all handmade by the artist.
If it’s the case, it’s not a good thing. At all. And it’s a shame. If I’m wrong, sorry, and keep the good work. Maybe adjust the illustrations that are showing signs of AI in it then to avoid misunderstanding and doubts :)

Thank you Chantilly Cat Press and NetGalley for an ARC of this book.
Caroline Bell has created a beautiful book predominately for children but really for all cat lovers.
I loved the musings of George and the beautiful illustrations in the book, all in the same calming carefully selected tones throughout.
Thank you for the opportunity to read this beautiful book, I highly recommend it.

Stop because I have no notes to this or thoughts, it was the most stinking cutest thing I've ever read.

What George thinks when he sits still by Caroline Bell was a fantastic read. Although it was quick it was sweet and heartfelt. Some of my favorite things from this books were the artwork and style, the poetry aspects, and the story. I love cats so seeing what a cat is thinking is great. Overall this book is a 4/5 stars for me and I would definitely recommend it to someone who is looking for a quick and cozy read.

“Sometimes, he watches you without blinking.
You think he's just sitting there, but really -
he's making sure your heart feels safe.“ — OMG!! 🥹 this book was such a fun and quick little read and i enjoyed every second! the art and the writing was so cute. protect george at all costs please! 😭❤️

This was SO cute I absolutely loved it. It was a fun, quick read and the illustrations were adorable!

I read this with my 4 year old daughter and it was such a delight! I appreciate that it’s teaching us how to ground ourselves and be mindful. My daughter really enjoyed this and the illustrations were well done too!

This was a cute read about what goes on in the mind of a cat named George, while he sits still. It was cozy and lighthearted and a fast read in one sitting. The pictures were a joy to look at while reading. I think anyone with a cat or who loves animals will enjoy this.
