This book is a great overview of Business Statistics Essentials. I found the real-world applications very beneficial for readers, especially for how to create charts and regressions in Excel, which is where most readers will be apply these lessons in their work and studies. The text provides succinct summaries throughout each chapter. The additional resources and links at the end of each chapter and the case studies at the end of the book are helpful resources. I recommend this text for those looking for a refresh on statistics and their applications in business and those looking for summaries about statistics and how to apply them in their work.

Business Statistics Essentials You Always Wanted to Know, part of the Self-Learning Management Series, is a great beginner’s guide to learning how to turn statistical data into actionable information for business success. It is laid out simply, starting with an introduction to business statistics. Then there’s a helpful discussion on data collection and presentation. More specific information starts with descriptive statistics, then delving into probability, sampling, correlation, and regression. There is also a section on hypothesis testing.
Particularly because statistics can be difficult, I enjoyed all the visuals and diagrams. The quick facts scattered throughout the chapters are helpful takeaways. I also like that the chapters conclude with a summary of the key points, offer a quiz, and provide resources for further learning. This is a good resource if you are just curious, just starting to use and implement statistics in your business, or your experienced and looking for a fresh perspective on how to use this information.

Good book that covers a lot of topics. As an "essentials" text, it does not get into too much detail (understandably) but focusses on reinforcing concepts. Very good layout.
