As someone who grew up with both Naruto and TMNT, this crossover was beautifully nostalgic. It was a throwback to my childhood just seeing the OG Team 7 with the TMNT crew. The creators clearly know the source material, peppering it with small storytelling nods and references that fans of the original work know and love.

The action is well-paced and moves freely from panel to panel, easy to follow without becoming too visually busy or flashing before the reader’s eyes. The coloring matches the tone perfectly; vibrant and energetic and has a bit of moodiness depending on the scene. Visually, it is both and neither.

The thing that impressed me the most however was character collaboration. The banter between Naruto and TMNT charas feels natural, sounds how they would bounce off each other in a universe where they coexist. Their voices, their dynamics, actually there is real care done for that.

Just a small suggestion you may consider: The name of the move, “half shell rasengan spiral sphere,” could be cleaned up. “Rasengan” and "Spiral Sphere" are basically one and the same (it is the literal translation) so it might be a little smoother, and avoid redundancy, if you dropped “Spiral Sphere”. Also, even though to consider both the franchises new (or will be fans because of this comic), I guess it’s understandable to keep both. Overall, this was a very fun action-packed crossover that delivered the nostalgia and some great storytelling. Better for either franchise fans.

Wow as a big fan of both Naruto and TMNT this was such a fun read! I think the art here was very well done. It was kinda cool to see some of our beloved Naruto characters in the tmnt art style. And I loved seeing some of my favorite characters interact with one another. Have team 7 and TMNT team up to take out shedder and the foot clan was so much fun!

I loved all of the fights we get. We get a little bit of a Naruto vs TMNT at the beginning, if for only brief moment. And all of the tag team fights were really cool and I really enjoyed the art for it. Naruto teaming up with Mikey just works perfectly! I will say the fight scenes went by a little too fast for me. They were cool, don’t get me wrong, I just wanted more!!

The story is not all that deep or in-depth, and is resolved fairly quickly. But to be fair it’s a short cross over. So I didn’t really expect it to be. that said I really wish we got a bit more from the story. And maybe a bit more length too. I read this WAY too quickly. I just more!!

The artwork through out was really well done. I loved almost every page. Very bright and vibrant color choices. Our characters really pop off the page.

Over all I think this a fun cross over. I had a big smile across my face throughout the whole read. Seeing team 7 and the TMNT team up to take out shedder was awesome and I hope they make more crossovers in the future! If you’re a fan of Naruto and TMNT I’d recommend giving it a read!

This was a really good crossover of teenage mutant ninja turtles meeting Naruto, Sasuke, Kakashi and Sakura.
I like how they team up together to defeat evil.
The artwork was colourful and had the feel of both worlds.
I definitely recommend and would read more!

Yeah this book was fantastic!! I'm a big fan of both teenage mutant ninja turtles and naruto so I was curious about how it would go but I feel they really did them both justice and ill be going to get myself a paperback copy when it comes out in October and reccomending it to all the graphic novel readers in the store.

Growing up in the 90s I was a Teenage Mutant Ninja turtles fan be it live action movies, cartoon series or any media really. In the early 2000s I also got into Naruto so when I say seeing a crossover of these two was both a nostalgia and serotonin hit! I am pleased to say it did not disappoint one bit, but we know I am biased.

I adored the artwork and storyline but most of all I enjoyed that Sakura was given a bit of respect and page time (I won't rant about this). The colouring is bright and fits both fandoms perfectly. The lineart was amazing and kept true to the character design. It was so much fun seeing the teams work together and I loved the banter of Kakashi and Splinter, it was also a nice touch to connect them together the way they did. It's clear this was written by a fan for the fans. It might not be everyone's liking but if you are like me and still love both TMNT and Naruto in my thirties this is a must read! I'll be getting it physically for sure.

As someone who has been a TMNT fan as well as a Naruto fan for as long as I could remember, this was a crossover made in heaven! For my traditional manga readers, it takes a little bit to get used to reading Naruto in left to right, but it’s not that crazy. The art in this is top tier in my opinion as they did a great job with blending the styles so that neither side (TMNT or Naruto) felt out of place. The story, while a little rushed due to it being a four-issue run, did make sense and combined elements from both franchises surprisingly well though seeing Big Apple village did catch me off-guard a little bit. The only real complaint I have with this is that I wish it was longer as we could have seen a really well-developed story with some character bonding and what not, but, as aforementioned, it’s a four-issue run. Still, all in all, I thoroughly enjoyed this series and those who are fans of ninjas, action, and pizza should definitely read this! Cowabunga and Believe It!!

This was nostalgic -- I watched both TMNT and Naruto as a kid/teen -- and so enjoyable in that respect, but ultimately felt pretty empty. It just had no substance. The storyline was basically "they meet" and didn't really go beyond that or even go further than surface-level interactions between the teams (although I thought at some points that it might have been trying to). There were some hints that certain characters could have understood each other and gotten along on a deeper level -- I especially liked the Michaelangelo and Naruto combination -- but the story really failed to delve into the massive amount of potential.

The art was great - very engaging and dynamic and colorful, with the characters displaying a wide range of expressions and emotions. It's definitely a comic book style and that works. I really loved all the varied compositions and shapes of panels the artist used.

Overall, read it for the nostalgia hit and the art, but not for the story itself. However, I really hope that there will be further adventures that really dig into the story potential. If there are, I'll definitely be checking them out.

Surrounded by polemics, the crossover between Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Naruto has always felt as a money grabber move more than a heartfelt tribute to both these legends of comics! In reality, what I have read, thanking a lot IDW Publishing and Viz Comics and NetGalleys for this opportunity, is, without a doubt, a theatre of archetypes in which powermoves and iconic lines and designs of characters are very entertaining, thanks to well represented fights and an heartfelt, nostalgic narrative. What I have to say is that the full writing feels like a generic Sonic Comic, a thing enhanced by the fact that the writer has worked for the quoted issues, and there is the true intention of limiting the possibilities of the setting working in a very safe spot. This is a quotes fest, and the exciting modern look may save some parts of a strange proposal inside today's publication world.

as a fan of both naruto and teenage mutant ninja turtles, i watched both of these anime when i was growing up. so this manga was such a TREAT and it made me feel so nostalgic for the early 2000s hahaha

The ninja crossover I wasn't expecting...but still enjoyed despite not being much of a traditional comic book reader (I'm more of a manga enjoyer). It was interesting to say the least, they tied in a couple parallels from each universe pretty well. Perhaps this would have been five stars if I was more than just an average enjoy of the two fandoms, TMMT even less so. But the turtles did look really cute in their Naruto headbands.

Visually it was great, I liked it a lot. I'm not usually a fan of comic book art but this I liked, but I'm no connoisseur for that kind of thing--so just my humble opinion. The writing is a bit corny for my taste, but I'd say it's pretty on-brand for TMMT. Fight scenes went a littleee fast for my taste, but it was still a lot of fun nonetheless. The pizza eating page at the end was my favorite. Overall, I enjoyed it.

This is a crossover I didn’t know I needed. I feel like it was accessible to fans of both series and may lead to new fans of both.

The art, being in a grungy western comic book style was great and surprisingly didn’t leave me sad that the Naruto characters were not in their original style.

The backstory for each were easy to understand. The story was quick and could have been fleshed out a bit, the fights did feel rushed at times. However for a short AU crossover piece it satisfied and left me feeling nostalgic for Saturday morning cartoons.

This was such a cool AU where the cartoon I first watched in the 90s met the very first manga I ever read and little me loved it.

🌀I really liked the Turtles ANBU style masks and the super move Half Shell Rasengan Spiral Sphere which saw all 9 of our FMC & MMC's do a team up move against Shredder had me grinning like a kid again!

Ok the positive first. This is a enjoyable read. I dig the simplicity of the story. I love the origin stories of both TMNT and Naruto. The interactions between the two team is good. The really reason why I gave this a 3 star is the artwork specially solid specially the action scenes. The cover arts and the extra gallery are hands down the best in this collection.

Now the however part...However, don't expect an epic crossover story with these two hot ninja team. If you're a big fan of both team, and you're looking for something extravagant, this book is not it! If you shorten it more it will feel like reading a FCBD comic. The story is very predictable, their is no chemistry between the two team, didn't moved emotions and nothing new to offer for fans. Casual readers will also feel that "not so great" vibe.

I hope they could come up with something more solid that will make this series shine.

A crossover I wouldn’t have even considered myself, but is great when you think about it. This was such a fun read. I loved seeing two series I loved as a kid mashed together to make an epic comic. I love the art style. I would love to see future volumes include the rest of the naruto teams. I think you could really put a fun twist on this collab.

I grew up a casual fan of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles but when I heard they were doing a collaboration with Naruto I knew I needed to read it. I have been a huge fan of Naruto since the early 2000s and know the characters pretty well. I felt that this comic was able to reflect each member of Team 7's personalities perfectly. The art style, while different from Kishimoto's, was very eye catching and jaw dropping during fight scenes.

I only had one issue with the comic: the story was definitely rushed. I would have loved to see more bonding time between Team 7 and the Turtles as their personalities compliment each other very well. The story could have lasted at least 100 more pages.

While this may not have been for everyone, I definitely enjoyed reading it and would read more of it.

Naruto vacations with TMNT. I would love more of the clash of weird 80’s future science and Japanese magic. Lots of flashbacks to explain TMNT to the Naruto audience.

I feel like we should have got a few more issues of this to maybe do something a bit more with it. Instead we get the usual groups meet, groups fight, they come to realise they’re on the same side, fight Shredder, pizza.

Its perfectly fine and i think a younger reader might get a bit more out of it than i did

The art is very good though.
