Three Girls Gone by Carolyn Arnold is another successful police procedural, spear-headed by Detective Amanda Steele and her partner, Detective Trent Stenson. A little girl had gone missing. It had not been her case until the child was found posed on a carousel in a park in her district. The missing person’s detective was less than helpful and Amanda was less than happy. As it turns out, the woman who had been her temporary boss, Katherine, had dealt with a case very similar ten years earlier in New York and she had some great insight. Amanda was able to convince her sergeant and the chief that she would be an asset and so brought her on as a consultant. She turned out to be a help, but also carried some surprising baggage related to the case. Things also went slowly because her usual ERT was not available and she had to work with people she didn’t know, and truthfully, didn’t much care for. Then a little girl was snatched right out of her bedroom and they needed to save her.
Amanda is a good cop, but emotionally damaged. She has her adopted daughter Zoe, thankfully, which keeps her sane, mostly. Her feelings for her partner, totally inappropriate, were hampering in some ways too. She is a complex, but likable character. The plot is good and as they work to ferret out the kidnapper/killer, they discover many dark things, things none of them wanted to know. It is a cleverly plotted book, another prime example of just how sick people can be. Very enjoyable book. Frightening. Compelling. A good read.
I was invited to read Three Girls Gone by Bookoutre. All thoughts and opinions are mine. #Netgalley #Bookoutre #CarolynArnold #ThreeGirlsGone

I am always happy to be back with Detective Amanda Steele of the Prince William County Police Department and eagerly crack open Three Girls Gone by Carolyn Arnold. We are in the small town of Dumfries, Virginia.
I love Prologues. I love the tease. I love the hook that gets set from the opening pages.
They ended up where they were supposed to be, just like destiny had intended.
Unfortunately, that is not a good thing, seeing the killer is doing the placing of the young girls’ bodies. The murder struck close to home for Amanda. She has an adopted nine year old daughter that she loves to pieces. She has the whole work/life conflict, but Zoe understands how important Amanda’s job is, even though she feels disappointed at times. Amanda could relate to the loss of a child, because she had lost her husband and six year old daughter to a car accident.
There was a child, Julie Gilbert, twelve years back, and a colleague of Amanda’s, Katherine Graves, was back and determined to find out who killed the child. Secrets will be revealed
I always wonder when Carolyn Arnold will let Amanda have her happy every after. Her and her partner Trent have a push pull relationship. They already have a great working relationship and I think a personal relationship would work for them as well.
The detailed descriptions of Zoe’s actions are so sweet and easy to visualize, putting a smile on my face.
Carolyn Arnold never lets me down. She manages to write stories that grab me and never let me go. I race through the pages, having to know what’s coming next, who is doing what to who and how is Amanda going to catch the bad guy. The mystery is not easily solved and I like an author who can keep me guessing.
My thanks go out to Bookouture and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review Three Girls Gone by Carolyn Arnold.

Every mother’s worst nightmare. Their daughter goes missing. Then the case relates to an old friend and case and Amanda digs deep to keep things from happening again.
I’m not sure if the previous case was in a book or just part of this plot, as I don’t remember it but I was easily able to follow everything.
It was eerie reading and thinking about a dead girl in ballerina attire. It was sadly so easy to picture and set the mood for me. I wasn’t able to piece it all together until Amanda and Trent did and I was in the edge of my seat wondering what would happen next.
I’ll admit to liking the cat and mouse play between Amanda and Trent and their feelings. I’m always just as interested in the police investigating in a crime novel as I am in the investigation.
The quick pace and the complex story had me finish this in a day.
This is a great series for anyone that loves a good crime series.

Detective Amanda Steele’s latest case involves the gruesome discovery of a young girl named Hailey Tanner at a park. Hailey had attended her ballet class but never made it home. As Amanda dives deep into the investigation, she visits Hailey’s home. Among the few ballet costumes Hailey owned, Amanda notices one missing from her closet. This peculiar detail raises questions about the possibility of a family member being involved in the murder.
Amanda’s case bears a striking resemblance to a similar incident that occurred twelve years prior. The body of another young girl had been discovered in a New York. Intrigued by the similarities, Amanda embarks on a quest to uncover the connection between the two cases. Despite the girls’ bodies being found in different locations, the similarities simply cannot be a coincidence. Interestingly, the older case had been investigated by Amanda’s former colleague, Katherine Graves. Katherine was still haunted by that case, and now, both she and Amanda are determined to find the killer.
This devastating case is deeply sensitive, as the victims were of tender age. It undoubtedly poses a significant challenge for Amanda, and it is equally hard-hitting for the reader. As Amanda, Katherine, and Amanda’s partner, Trent Stenson, work tirelessly to stop the killer before any more young girls are murdered, the pace of the investigation accelerates. They race against time, pushing against the clock as another girl is taken. Determined to bring this little girl back home, the detectives exhaust every lead and piece together the clues they are unraveling.
Although each book in this captivating series can stand alone, reading it in order will undoubtedly enhance the reader’s understanding of Amanda and her colleagues. For instance, Amanda’s approach to cases, as well as her personal and professional relationships, evolve with each book in this series. She is undoubtedly an exceptional detective whose compassion and concern for the victims are evident throughout.
The challenging cases in this police procedural series can be difficult to read, and I find myself rooting for and growing to admire Amanda even more as she relentlessly pursues justice for the victims. Carolyn Arnold truly outdid herself with this book, and I eagerly anticipate the next installment in this series.
Many thanks to Bookouture and to NetGalley for this ARC for review. This is my honest opinion.

BLOG TOUR REVIEW
Review for 'Three Girls Gone' by Carolyn Arnold.
Yet again another epic read from the very talented Carolyn Arnold!!! Absolutely rammed full of twists and turns!! Congratulations Carolyn on yet another page turner!! If you are looking for a crime thriller that will have you on the edge of your seat then look no further!!!
This is an extremely well written book with vivid descriptions that will suck you straight into the storyline and captivated from beginning to end. The synopsis and cover worked perfectly with the storyline.
Every time I see a Carolyn Arnold book I just know I have to read it and that it will be amazing and that's without me even bothering to read the synopsis and this one was exactly the same!!! The storyline means that there is no problem with this being read as a standalone. I was absolutely hooked throughout, a true page turner from beginning to end. Carolyn is one of those amazing authors who writes these epic books that when you are reading them you promise yourself one more chapter and then you'll go to sleep but each time she ends her chapters in a way that has you hooked so you have to read just one more, but then another and before you know it you have walked around all day with the book glued to your hands and have devoured it in one sitting!!! The storyline was in depth and packed with suspense, books, murder, twists, family, tension, hate, stress, intensity, shocks and was an edge of your seat, nail biting and heart racing psychological thriller. If you want to find out more about this heart racing page turner then you are going to have to grab your copy as I am not going to spoil the storyline for you!! I can guarantee you wont rgret it and I would not be surprised if you dscover your new favourite author and series!! As always with this fantastic series I was absolutely hooked and ended up devouring this book in less than 24 hours and I'm looking forward to reading the previous books in this series that I have yet to get around to read as well as more to come. This series is extremely addictive and I cannot wait to see what the next "episode" brings!! This book is an absolute rollercoaster ride filled with twists, action, murder, heartbreak, suffering, suspense and everything you could ask for in an absolutely thrilling page turner. As always with Carolyn's book I was mind blown when the killer was revealed so a huge congratulations Carolyn!! After reading hundreds of crimes and thrillers it's getting harder and harder to shock me but at no point did I even consider them!!! If you want to know more about this absolutely epic page turner which you will have to grab your copy today to get them!!! It is one of the best books I have read this year and I really enjoyed and loved the ending!!! It is filled with suspense, tension, mystery, shocks, love, friendship, sadness, crime and everything you could ever want in a crime novel. As always Carolyn ensures there were no loose ends at the book and that everything was explained and tied up. It is one of my pet hates having loose ends at the end of a book so well done Carolyn!! I won't say more as not to spoil it for future readers. It is a true page turner that will leave you biting your nails on the edge of your seat with your heart racing. I cannot wait to see what Amanda and Trent are going to do now!!!! Hope your busy typing the next one up Carolyn as I cannot wait!!!
Although this is the fourteenth book in the series you will have absolutely no problems reading it without the others. Any details or events that have previously happened are mentioned in just the right amount of detail to let a new reader know what has happened and yet not too much to bore a previous reader.
I loved meeting all the characters again who were all strong, well defined and unique. I have become completely invested in Amanda and Trent along with all of the other amazing characters through reading these books and they now feel like family that I miss when I come to the end of one book but am excited to see again at the beginning of the next!! Amanda is absolutely whoop a## and I love seeing strong female leads in books. She has a background but will not let it pull her down and she is definitely someone I would love to have on my side. It has been so bitter sweet watching her bond with Zoe even more and watching their relationship develop and I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next. She has become like a family to me along with Trent and many of the other larger than life characters Trent is another fantastic team member and they work perfectly well together. I love Rideout's (medical examiner) character and personality with his morgue humour and I also like Malone and see him as a sort of fatherly figure to Amanda. It was intriguing to see the interactions between Amanda and Trent after what happened in previous books and I'm glad to see that it hasn't affected their partnership and that they still make the most amazing team out there!! These characters are all truly unforgettable and have become like friends that I love meeting again and am sad when it comes to the end and I have to say goodbye to them. Alongside the main characters Carolyn always creates interesting and realistic characters for each crime and in this book we revisit the sister of a character who was murdered in a previous case so it's interesting to get to revisit some characters and their backgrounds. A fantastic group of intriguing, realistic and solid characters all brought to life by Carolyn's fantastic evocative writing skills!! I am definitely looking forward to meeting them all (well almost all) again!!!
This is exactly why you are one of my favourite authors Carolyn!!! Here is to your next guaranteed success 🥂!!
I could not praise this book enough and highly recommend. Carolyn I cannot wait to read more of your very successful work!!! I would also love to see this book turned into a movie. Another absolutely addictive, compelling and gripping true page turner!!! If you have not read any books by this epic author then you are seriously missing out!!!
Overall another absolutely captivating, engrossing page turner that is compelling and addictive by an extremely talented author!!!

Thank you to NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to preview this ARC read. If you enjoy stories about detective cases and need a fast read this would be a great choice.
This is book 14 in the Amanda Steele series by Carolyn Arnold. It is my first of hers but won't be my last. The storyline is about a girl that is taken from her home and found at a local park by a woman who is suspected to possibly have a connection to the girl and her family. While the investigation quickly progresses things start to look as if this crime is not the only crime the suspect/suspects have committed. Several years have went on between the two similar cases. Because of this it has Trent and Amanda wondering if they are dealing with the connecting cases. In addition they suspect they may have one or more individuals working together.
You are taken through some twists and turns and just when you think they have the suspect nailed down something else comes up. With the help of an ex-detective they are able to solve the crime and put the Hailey's story together.
The story does have things such as abuse, SA, and murder so if those things are triggering for you then I do not advise reading this book.

A child killer, needs catching before he kills another
A horrific killer for Amanda Steele to uncover.
This time it feels close to home for the team
For Katherine Graves its a nightmare not a dream.
Secrets from Katherine's past link cases together
With notes left now to stop her searching forever.
However, it is working together that seems the best
With the cases present and past putting them all to the test.
A twisted killer they need to catch before its too late
With another girl gone, what will be her fate?
An edge of your seat read with twists galore
Keeping you page turning hoping to discover more.
I thoroughly enjoyed this gripping crime thriller
As Amanda and the team search for this horrific killer.
For my copy of this book I say a huge thank you
As I share with you this, my honest review.

A young girls is abducted and later on found dead wearing her ballet class costume, her body has been posed in a park. Amanda is deeply touched by the crime and makes finding the culprit her only objective, untill when her friend, Katherine, ex NYPD Detective is pulled into the investigation as the crime is linked to one that she could not solve but could not let go even though she is not in the police force anymore. As a result of Katherine's involvement in the investigation another girl is kidnapped - the culprit makes it clear that he wants her out of the investigation - and Amanda and Katherine herself, almost break down in dispair. Amanda and Trent will keep on searching every lead till they find the one that will lead them to the deranged man behind the crimes. On the personal side, Amanda still has to keep her emotions from Trent, as she very much would like to be more than his professional partner and Zoe (her daughter) also loves him, but that seems not meant to be. Maybe Amanda will find a new romantic partner in the future book. Three Girls Gone is full of action and mystery and is a great addition to the series.
I thank Ms. Arnold, her publisher, and NetGalley for this ARC.

A serial killer after young girls, who has been killing for years. When the case ends up in Amanda and Trent’s hands, they are determined to find justice for Hailey. They find a connection to a previous murder, and a former detective friend of Amanda’s who they bring in to help them.
There’s always so much to police procedurals for me. I’m always sucked in by the crime parts. I always want to know who the killer is and try to figure it out the whole story. But I also thrive on the relationships of the characters. Amanda and Trent are quite the pair, and it makes me wonder if they’re ever going to end up together. Then there’s Amanda and her relationship with her daughter, and her family. I always want more of those parts of the story too.
I can’t wait for more of this series.
Thank you NetGalley and Bookstore for my copy of this book.

Disclosure. This is a review of an ebook I was sent for free. All opinions are my own.
This is the fourteenth title in the Detective Amanda Steele series.
In the prologue, a child abduction has just taken place and the perpetrators describe it as easy peasy! A tantalising opening to the story.
But worse is to follow. 6 year old Hailey Tanner isn’t just a missing person, which was how her case was initially assigned. Her body has now been discovered in the park, posed in her ballerina outfit, and Detective Amanda Steele and partner Trent have been assigned to investigate her murder.
Why didn’t her nanny collect her as usual after her ballet class? Has the killer been in the Tanners’ home? Was Hailey sexually assaulted too?
And what is the link with the unsolved murder of Julie Gilbert, 12 years ago in New York, that ex-colleague Katherine Graves is still pursuing? Does this mean the possibility of a serial killer? Will they be allowed to loop Katherine in to help?
Could performing be a common link between Hailey and Julie?
Potential suspect names get mooted. Can they untangle the breadcrumbs and find the killer? Is there any CCTV footage?
But then another young girl Eloise Maynard is abducted. Their chief suspect has a solid alibi. Can they find Eloise in time?
Lots of clues to keep following the trail, as bit by bit, they identify a new suspect, but where might this person be now?
A gripping page turner, with a tense and suspenseful climax.
Includes some continuity references to earlier stories for those who enjoy reading the whole series but works excellently as a stand-alone read too.

The blurb lays out the plot. The plot delivers on the emotions and tenacity of Detective Steele and her partner, Trent. I enjoy the twists, following along trying to figure out who and why. Katherine a former colleague realizes this murder connects to one from 12 years ago and comes on board as well as several new people we meet. There are a lot of characters in Three Girls Gone and while I enjoy the mystery and the personal aspect of Steele and Trent this one needed a conclusion and a fresh take. The ending leaves me to believe there might be a fresh take, but we need the resolution. I am betwixt with this one and apologize for inability to provide a concise review. Thank you for the advance copy. I freely share my honest thoughts and opinions. #ThreeGirlsGone #DetectiveAmandaSteele #CarolynArnold #Bookouture #NetGalley

Three Girls Gone is book 14 in the Detective Amanda Steele series by Carolyn Arnold.
Arnold masterfully portrays the characters' personal and professional lives in "Three Girls Gone."
The mystery in this installment is particularly engaging, keeping readers guessing throughout the story.
This made the plot even more intriguing.
The blend of mystery with characters' personal and professional lives made for an exciting and compelling read. Once again, Arnold delivered a thrilling tale, making this installment another great addition to the Detective Amanda Steele series.
Thank You NetGalley and Bookouture for your generosity and gifting me a copy of this amazing eARC!

It’s always exciting to return to the world of Amanda and her cases!
Who would do such heinous harm to little girls?
The clock is ticking as Amanda and Trent race to discover the villain.
I was glad to see the return of Katherine Graves and learn more about her story.
My dearest wish for Amanda may not come true any time soon but I will keep hoping!

It took me a while to get into this though thats more me than the book itself as have been in a bitt of a reading funk lately though once o got into it i could not put it down i've followed Amanda steele since the beginning and always look forward to reading the next steps although sad in places (what happened to the girls) its fast paced and i like the end though still hold put hope for trent and amanda at some point zoe is so cute and the little interactions with her throughout the book really break the tension up another great read from Carolyn Arnold

I've enjoyed some of the Detective Amanda Steele books before, and this one didn't disappoint. You could easily read this as a standalone, but you'd be missing out on some truly thrilling mysteries if you didn't read others in the series as well, although I admit I haven't read them all yet. Jumping back into Amanda's world, so much has changed, but it's nice to know that many of my favorite characters are still the same. The story throws you right into the middle of things, and the tension doesn't let up for a moment. The murder is absolutely heart-breaking, such a young girl, and it'll have you just as invested as Amanda in catching and stopping the killer. There are twists when you least expect them, and the action scenes will get your heart racing. The characters are dynamic, and feel real. Arnold does a masterful job of keeping you engaged from start to finish, so make sure you clear your calendar before you sit down to read!

Amanda and Trent are back and their latest case is a page-turner. It keeps you guessing with suspense and twists. I love that this far into the series the author still gives us unique cases. I have to say though, at this point I'm over the personal relationships of the characters. I would find the books just as satisfying without the personal interplay. I do enjoy the growth Amanda has gone through with Zoe. The last chapter introduced an interesting possible plot that I'm really hoping we get to see play out.

Is it possible that a current murder of a little girl and a 12 year old cold case are related? Based on a note found in the clothing of the current victim, they are. And former cop Katherine Graves, who has been investigating the cold case, gets tasked to help with this one.
Even though there seems to be few clues, as Detectives Steele and Stenson start to gather information, it doesn't take long before you paths to follow. It turns out that knowing the correct questions to ask is what it takes. They start out focusing on the last few days before Hailey disappeared and then learned they needed to look back further for clues.
I loved the twists and turns in this story and how Katherine as well as Hailey's parents were able to get some closure. And for Amanda, she gets a surprise from Zoe and a potential new love interest. I'm looking forward to seeing where that goes.
Thank you to NetGalley, Bookouture and the author for the opportunity to read this book for my honest review. All opinions expressed are my own.

Author Carolyn Arnold is my must read author….she always delivers intense, suspenseful thriller reads that keep me on the edge of my seat. And,….staying awake all night to finish her books! All good things right?
Three Girls Gone is a very intense and nail biting read!!! It is also a very emotional read as it is about young children being kidnapped. (This can be hard to read about so be aware)
Amanda and her team are investigating the murder of a young child and can’t seem to get the answers they need. When they find similarities between this murder and a cold case from 12 years ago, things get moving fast.
Can they figure out what is going on before more children are murdered?
I was kept guessing to the end with this one.
I love Amanda and Trent as a team…though I wish “something” would happen between them..I feel the spark and connection :)
Though the subject matter was very emotional and hard to read about, Three Girls Gone was a good read that will keep you reading on and on.
I do recommend reading the series in order….sooooo much back story to the main characters you just have to do about
Thank you NetGalley, Bookouture and the author for the opportunity to read this book for my honest review. All opinions expressed are my own.

❤️ WoW ❤️ Three Girls Gone by Carolyn Arnold is the 14th book in this excellent Detective Amanda Steele crime series and what a superb series this has been. This is a series that just keeps on giving, from the very first book The Little Grave which was a 5 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ read. It is full of twists and turns throughout, and all the characters are excellent especially Detective Amanda Steel she is the bee's knee's s they say. I just love her character.
I love the way Carolyn writes, she has a way of engaging to all her readers by drawing them in from the very first few pages and this book was no different. it was excellent and I can't wait to read her next book in the excellent Detective Amanda Steele series.
I highly recommend this book and all of Carolyn's books within the Detective Amanda Steele series they have al been
a 5 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ read.
Big Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for my ARC.

Amanda is back for another crisis, this one a continuation of a previous storyline. The book follows its familiar storyline, with most of the same players making the rounds. The tension with Trent for me is played out - its beyond a will they, won’t they and I wish it would come to some type of resolution and conclusion. But beyond that its face past, action packed, and an easy read. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to provide my honest review.
