First thing first, I should have figured out this was Book #18 in the Fool's Gold series. That is my fault. However, this book can be read as a standalone, so that is something. Overall, this was quite a lengthy story, especially when the same thing is being repeated multiple times on multiple occasions. The sub-plots weren't interesting enough to hold my attention either.
