I was immediately drawn to this WEBTOON for the name alone. A nanny for the mafia?! Sign me up. Then to find out that she’s HIGHLY trained and will do anything to make sure her charge is safe and happy. Chef’s kiss! I love this series and I can’t wait to see what happens next. Also….Mikey is the cutest lil boy I have ever read about in my entire life! And Davina is the perfect nanny for this family.

This second volume of The Mafia Nanny carried us deeper into the world where Davina might find answer, if she can stays on track.

Once again, such a creative character to follow around—her backstory, her personality, her skills, and the answer she’s looking for are so very mysterious—and it’s both heartbreaking and heartwarming to see her get attached to Mickey. I love that she’s basically a high-end hacker, on top of everything else, so much! What an icon.

Talking about Mickey, he might be one of the genuinely funniest characters around at the moment. The mix of ultra-serious, used to horrible situations, and still being a kid at heart, is just so so good. His faces are absolutely peak lol

The mafia politics are so interesting to follow too! The different crime syndicates and their bosses, can’t wait to learn more about it!. (Loved the scary babushka) I think it’s great that we follow a character that knows just a little too much about it all! The tension between her and the dad is so good. I love whatever they got going on, they’re so messy; like he definitely knows something about her, and she knows something about him and AH.

I also really enjoy her relationship with Mrs. Bremerton still being present! You can see they really see each others as family and it’s so heartwarming to know that even thought her family is all gone, it’s not one of those stories where she’s stuck in a bad situation because she doesn’t have a place to fall back to. It really makes her in control of her place in all this and I love that she has that much agency!

The art is amazing too, some of those panels are just so intense—like that scene where she’s bleeding out on the ground and you think she’s out, but then it show her conscious with fury in her eyes, while some others are definitely more goofy and make it fun to follow along; love the range of it all.

The romance that seems to be building up is definitely something I look forward to in the next volume, especially with how messy and complicated it will make their relationship—which is already pretty messed up. I love a bit of drama.. and with their tension already existing I know it’s going to be top tier. (When he finally blushed too!!!! YEAHHH!!!)

I AM EATING THIS SERIES UP.

It’s everything I would want in a mafia manwha. There is more action and more *raises brows* romance. Davina keeps being the BAMF she is and protecting Mikey at all costs, even if that means harm to herself. The tension between Davina and Gabriel continues to rise and almost reaching a tipping point that leaves me waiting for the moment it all explodes.

We get more of the background and the plot continues to thicken. I can’t wait to see what’s next for this little family and our BAMF FMC. The closer Davina gets, the more she’s entangled in the mess.

Even without reading vol 1 I was able to mostly understand what was going on. Story is good and the artwork is well done. I also like that most if not all the panels were larger which made this easier to read on a device.

I had forgotten how much I enjoyed the first volume of this series, and this second one was even better. It picks up right where the first left off—there’s so much drama, mystery, and tension and I looooved it.

On top of all that, it also has a comedic side—Michael and Davina’s interactions are just too cute, and they make the perfect team.

There are new characters, and it’s really interesting to see how they’re incorporated into the family dynamic. I was left wanting to read more and more. I’m so curious about Davina’s past and how it will connect to Gabriel—I can’t wait for the next volume!!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book !! 🤍

Thank you to Wattpad WEBTOON Book Group, WEBTOON Unscolled, and NetGalley for the ARC!

We’re back with increasingly high stakes, solid character development, and a couple of new faces! Nico, Val, and Louis are fun additions to an already great cast of characters. Davina continues to be an absolute badass while battling with the reality of who she works for. Mikey is adorable and amusing, I really enjoy how his relationship with Davina has grown. His relationship with Gabriel is also so special, I love seeing how much they love each other. The tension between Gabriel and Davina is palpable and I look forward to more! It’s a slow burn but absolutely worth the journey. The art is lovely, I can’t wait for the rest of the series!

Quick typo note: on page 183 I think “curtain” was written instead of “certain.”

Still a ridiculous concept, and still brilliantly executed. The tension ratchets up and holds taut while juggling multiple characters’ personal struggles along with the overall plot. The action scenes flow a bit better than in the first volume, and we get a lot of expressive visual nuance with the characters’ internal monologues.

If you aren’t physically attracted to Michele, then I don’t know if we can speak. Yes, I know that he’s a 2D character and I could care less. I read a review that said this felt like Dramione fanfic and now I can’t unsee it. But for me, it’s if Draco got massively buff and amount 1000% hotter. Not 100. Not 999. 1000%!!!

This is a play on the mafia don trope, but if the love interest was a really well trained nanny/bodyguard/hacker who is out to revenge the loss of her parents and she thinks it’s the Angelini’s who killed them. I don’t read a lot in that genre, but if I knew it was going to be like this, I’d be a new fan!

Thank you to WebToon Unscrolled and NetGalley for voted eARC.

Volume two contains episodes 13-26 of the webtoon.

We return to our favorite mafia family and their newly hired nanny just in time for some big character developments and quite a bit of plot advancement.

Davina signs Mikey up for art class hoping it will encourage him to be creative and grow his artistic skills, and some hope for him to make friends his age. However their enemies find out that Mikey is leaving the family compound, they use this to make a statement to the Gabriele and the rest of the family. At this time we get two new faces, Nico and Val, will they prove to truly be friend or will they be foe?

Davina continues to show her loyalty and willingness to do whatever needs to be done to keep her charge safe. However she has principles and she does not want to get involved in the Mafia business. She is at odds with what she thinks is right.

She also is trying to uncover the mysteries of her past and now that the current events are starting to look and feel quite like what happened when she was a child. Davina becomes increasingly more suspicious.

I love how Mikey and Davina are becoming closer , he truly has some one he know is there for him. He continues to want to be around his dad and the mafia life, but when Davina finds out why, she is more determined to uncover what is truly going on within the family and how she can protect Mikey and show him he can have a life away from crime.

Gabriele is keeping secrets, but how far do his secrets go. He asked for Davina specifically and keeps claiming it was because she does well with computers. However the longing looks and subtle hints he gives her, prove there is clearly more to the story. The tension between the two of them is so thick you could slice it with a knife. I wanna grab their heads and push them together and yell "KISS ALREADY!".

The character development is great in this volume. As i said lots happen but the way that they react to all the events, really shows how well these characters are thought out and written. The "side" characters are also so well flushed out and play a big part in moving the story forward.

Ill repeat this as I said this in volume one Gabriele * chefs kiss* , if you are looking for a mafia man who would burn the world down for the ones he loves, here is is ladies and gents. Also, don't think I missed how he got jealous at dinner when she was talking to someone else...I see you Gabriele, I know what your up to sir!

If your looking for a story to get totally absorbed in, I promise you The Mafia Nanny wont let you down. Its got action , its got slow burn romance, its got found family, its got a super hot mafia dad.

ARC Review: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The tension! Sign me up for this entire series because I am sooo invested. Every piece of this story is fantastic. The mystery, the chaos, the dark themes, and that splash of romance???!

The art is gorgeous and brings this story to life.

Slice of life Mafia - finding humor and light in the dark world they've been born into. Seriously in love with the main characters and the side characters have such personality.

The FMC is powerful, loving, and deadly. I cannot wait to see how this all evolves as more of the backstory comes into play.

Thank you NetGalley and Wattpad WEBTOON Book Group for this ARC!

Finally getting into the real meat of the story! Fast-faced yet still understandable, with lot of good character development.

Another volume full of action, mystery, and baby sitting shenanigans. Mikey once again stole the show, our FMC is still an amazing, bad**s woman, and our MMC is still hot as can be. A phenomenal addition to this exciting series.

A HUGE thank you to NetGalley and Webtoon Unscrolled for the eARC. All opinions are my own.

This series is amazing. I need more immediately. I'm not usually one for villain romances, but I am making an exception here.

Davina is phenomenal as a character, and Mikey is great too. We even have solid glimpses of other side characters and their personalities after only 2 volumes.

Highly recommend.

Mikey steals the show again in volume 2!
When you think about the story of this comic it's very dense. There are so many things going on, and it would be easy for this to become a wordy slog of a read, but it never does. There are never large blocks of text slowing the story down. Instead, the art and the dialogue are perfectly married to give you all the information you need without dragging on.
In volume 2 we're introduced to a couple of new characters who seem like an interesting addition to the group. There's more mystery, more romance (the slowest of burns), and plenty more action to keep the story interesting.
I'll admit to rereading what's available of this comic multiple times. It's just that good, and I can't wait for more!
