This book was like a warm hug. It brought the feelings of the show right onto the page. The little nuggets of wisdom and insight were comforting and nostalgic. I felt the writing brought the same cozy atmosphere as the show. I will be buying this as a frequently read piece of paradise.

This book is a straight-to-the-veins shot of nostalgia for any Gilmore Girls fan. It was so fun reliving the details of the show and relating it back to life lessons. That's not really how I watched the show but... maybe it's time for a rewatch (again) to see it through a different lens! Also, the illustrations are AMAZING. I sincerely hope they are available for purchase as a postcard or something. This book would make a great gift for any Gilmore Girls fan in your life. 10/10

Book Review: Meet Me At Luke’s by Kristine Eckart
(Or, how I justified my 37th Gilmore Girls rewatch as “research”)
You know that moment when you hear the first few notes of “Where You Lead,” and your soul does a little pirouette and your brain immediately queues up coffee, fast talk, and possibly a flannel-wearing diner owner with commitment issues? That’s exactly what reading Meet Me At Luke’s by Kristine Eckart feels like. It’s not just a book. It’s a beautifully illustrated, heartfelt, cinnamon-sprinkled love letter to Stars Hollow and the people who live there — fictional or otherwise.
As a certified Gilmore Girls lifer (I schedule my annual fall rewatch somewhere between buying Halloween candy and aggressively eyeing decorative gourds), this book was like coming home. Eckart doesn’t just write about the show — she writes from inside the experience of loving it. She gets it. She’s one of us. When she says, “Like millions of other Gilmore addicts, I consider myself an honorary Gilmore girl,” I nodded so hard I almost spilled my coffee. (Almost. Let’s not be dramatic.)
The illustrations? Oh, honey. They are charming in that perfectly cozy, Stars Hollow way. The kind of drawings that make you want to move into a small Connecticut town and open a bookstore-slash-bakery just so you can host Friday night movie marathons and town meetings where Taylor inevitably loses his mind over a permit.
But the real magic of Meet Me At Luke’s is how it taps into the shared emotional GPS of Gilmore fans everywhere. It doesn’t just remind us why we love the show — it makes us feel it all over again. It’s like reading a scrapbook filled with inside jokes, town gossip, and enough pop culture references to make Lorelai proud.
So if you’re a Gilmore girl, guy, grandma, or general enthusiast, grab your comfiest sweater, pour yourself an offensively large mug of coffee, and dive in. And yes, as I finish writing this, I’m already cueing up Episode 1 — again — because, as any true fan knows, it’s always time to go back to Stars Hollow.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the advanced reader copy!

I absolutely loved Gilmore Girls when I was a teen, it's been a while since I've watched it, but this definitely makes me want to do a re-watch, or at least watch the major episodes that are listed out. It was for sure a trip down memory lane reading the timeline of the life lessons episode list and then diving into them.
The illustrations are absolutely lovely. And I loved how there were books and movies listed that were mentioned in the show, I know in the past I personally bought books and DVDs directly because Rory had mentioned them, and it was nice getting to see all of them listed in one spot.
I love how Kirk's Babette ate oatmeal shirt was included! I actually have one from well over 10 years ago, and still wear it on occasion!
There is obviously a lot of work put into this book.

☕️I would like to extend an enormous thank you to the author, Kristine Eckart, Andrew McMeel Publishing, and NetGalley for the privilege of being able to check out a digital copy of Meet Me at Luke's! I will share my review to Goodreads, Amazon, and Barnes & Noble upon release, as well as share my review to Bookstagram ✨
☕️As a lifelong Gilmore Girls fan, and having watched the show several times over, this book captured much of the magic and charm of the show. It's easy to tell that the author is a book lover and also has a deep appreciation and love for Gilmore Girls and its characters. The illustrations are so so cute, and would make amazing art. Even the drawings of the characters seemed to capture their personalities perfectly. I laughed out loud at the picture with Kirk in the window peering down at the others - it was perfect! As the characters are really the heart of the show, it's important that the book would be able to express that. I think Meet Me at Luke's definitely does! The map of Stars Hollow is amazing and I'd love a print! This book is a perfect gift for any superfan. It has several essays about the show that felt really relatable and let me stroll down memory lane.
☕️Oy, with the poodles already! Copper boom! And may you always be a vicious trollop!
5/5 stars!

A sweet keepsake for devotees of the show. There is little here that die-hard Gilmore Girls fans don't already know, but it is a thoroughly charming collection with whimsical illustrations and all the magic and whimsy of Stars Hollow.

Meet Me at Luke's by Kristine Eckart is cute and something I would borrow from the library but not necessary own. To be fair, I enjoy watching Gilmore Girls, but I am in no way obsessed with it, and my relationship has changed with it over the years, first as a daughter and now as a mother. I felt Eckarty shared several facts I did not know, although die hard fans might know them. I agreed with the author on some points and disagreed on others. The loved, loved, loved the illustrations. They were so charming. If someone loves Gilmore Girls this will either be perfect for them or a repeat of everything they already know. It is hard to say not being in those shoes. I loved, loved, loved the list of all the books, shows, and moves, at the end. Something I have always wanted to compile myself and never have. I received an eARC from Andrews McMeel Publishing through NetGalley. All options are 100% my own.
