Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC.
Nostalgic, yes. I'm not a die-hard GG fan, but I enjoyed the show. Basically, the book recaps major plots, themes, and lists all of the books, tv shows, and movies mentioned in the show. Reminiscent and sort of journal/reflective-like.
Well written, but not for me.

This is a fun book for anyone who is a fan of Gilmore Girl's. The author offers personal lessons she's learned from the show that she's incorporated into her life. The drawings throughout the book were absolutely amazing and show the whimsiness of the show and Stars Hollow, a town in which I've wanted to live since watching the pilot episode over 20 years ago.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the arc.

I received this book from netgalley for free for an honest review Thank you for the opportunity
I love Gilmore girls so much and this was a great addition to my collection.

I love Gilmore Girls and found this to be delightful. It is a fun book for devotees of the show. There is little here that die-hard Gilmore Girls fans don't already know. I found it a great collection with whimsical illustrations and all the magic and whimsy of Stars Hollow. Great coffee table book and conversation starter.

The time and energy spent compiling the information in this book is incredible! I absolutely loved Gilmore Girls, but wasn’t obsessed at the time of production. Recently, I have streamed the show on Netflix again and watch episodes when I need a feel good series to watch, because let’s be real they don’t make shows like they used to. Overall, the illustrations were fun and adorable, and this would be a great gift especially for those who like to collect items related to Gilmore Girls! If you haven’t watched the entire show, there are spoilers and recaps of seasons/episodes. I love how they reference and list books/movies/shows and even include an appendix list at the end (I didn’t even know there was such a thing as a reading challenge for this series). What I didn’t love was it felt like I was reading someone’s dissertation on the show with opinions and some criticisms, mixed with insights and words of wisdom. It did check all the boxes for going down memory lane and reliving a period that is nonexistent anymore with changes in technology and introduction of streaming. If only younger generations knew what airing shows and the exclusivity of being present to watch was really like. This is definitely a book for millennials and older!
Thank you NetGalley and Andrews and McMeel Publishing for the opportunity to read a digital ARC in exchange for an honest review!

This book is, in a way, a thank-you letter to Gilmore Girls, and I'm thankful for it. It delves into the way that media can change our lives in a way we don’t realise until we take a step back and see our favourite childhood TV shows in the life decisions we’ve made. TV shows, series, books, songs, theatre, and more shape us into who we are, and Gilmore Girls is no exception.
I appreciated the discussion of not only the Gilmore girls themselves but of other characters like Sookie, Lane, Mrs Kim, Babette and more who typically aren’t discussed as much since they’re background characters, yet this book highlights their importance as well as the Gilmore family as they are the people who make up the Gilmores life and shape them the way they’ve shaped us. Getting to see how the series has impacted the author’s life as well was something I really appreciated.
My absolute favourite part about this book was the illustrations included. They are so beautiful and capture the essence of Gilmore Girls, especially the illustrations from the Festival of Living Arts episode. I also loved the little extra bits at the end of the chapters, like the list of Kirk's jobs, the Broadway life and the list of iconic female cameos. And of course, the pumpkin pancake recipe, which I'll be sure to make in September with my rewatch. This book has an incredible and detailed discussion of Gilmore Girls and would be the perfect gift for any Gilmore fan.
Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC!

I loved this so much! Gilmore Girls is one of my favorite shows of all time. I really loved getting insights into so many of my favorite parts, settings, songs, etc. This was so so fun!

I was drawn to this book since I'm a die-hard fan of Gilmore Girls, it is my favorite show and I believe that my mom and I have a similar relationship to Lorelai and Rory's.
Meet Me at Luke's is a celebration of the show, in particular, it is an analysis of important themes that shaped the narrative of the series. It also presents reflections, advices, amazing illustrations, pop culture references and other fun things.
Really enjoyed it, it's perfect for the fans of the show who want to relive the aesthetic and feelings that this tv series gives or even for people who are interested in watching it and want to know more beforehand.

This is a must have for an Gilmore Girls fan!! This book is absolutely gorgeous with beautiful illustrations. I loved it so much!
Thank you so much for NetGalley and Andrews McMeel Publishing for an eARC in exchange for my how st review!

A lovely book for anyone who is a fan of the Gilmore Girls series. Full of wit, wisdom, and fun anecdotes.
A fun read for sure!

An absolute clinic in all things Gilmore Girls trivia and behind the scenes fun facts and anecdotes + a how to/guide to life delivered in the language of Gilmore. So fun and entertaining. A must own coffee book for any die hard Gilmore Girls fan.

This was the CUTEST tribute to Gilmore Girls ever!!! I am a huge Gilmore fan and it’s definitely my comfort show so I can’t wait to buy this book as a physical copy and use it on my coffee table!!!

Absolutely beautiful book, love the illustrations and love feeling like I’m back in Stars Hollow!
Gilmore Girls is literally one of my favourite shows so I knew I would love this!!!

Meet Me at Luke’s was like revisiting my favorite people and town and I loved the nostalgia of it all. The breakdown of every season, every book Rory read during the show, all the music and references throughout the seven season and behind the scenes of the making of the show it self.
It was a joy to read and thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for making it possible to read as my first ARC as well.
Fans of the show will enjoy the ride down memory lane and even learn more about one of the best shows that came out in the 2000s.

A cute and fun book for any avid Gilmore Girls fans! It deep dives into the show and surrounding themes with fun illustration and of course tons of bookish references!

This book was like a warm hug. It brought the feelings of the show right onto the page. The little nuggets of wisdom and insight were comforting and nostalgic. I felt the writing brought the same cozy atmosphere as the show. I will be buying this as a frequently read piece of paradise.

This book is a straight-to-the-veins shot of nostalgia for any Gilmore Girls fan. It was so fun reliving the details of the show and relating it back to life lessons. That's not really how I watched the show but... maybe it's time for a rewatch (again) to see it through a different lens! Also, the illustrations are AMAZING. I sincerely hope they are available for purchase as a postcard or something. This book would make a great gift for any Gilmore Girls fan in your life. 10/10

Book Review: Meet Me At Luke’s by Kristine Eckart
(Or, how I justified my 37th Gilmore Girls rewatch as “research”)
You know that moment when you hear the first few notes of “Where You Lead,” and your soul does a little pirouette and your brain immediately queues up coffee, fast talk, and possibly a flannel-wearing diner owner with commitment issues? That’s exactly what reading Meet Me At Luke’s by Kristine Eckart feels like. It’s not just a book. It’s a beautifully illustrated, heartfelt, cinnamon-sprinkled love letter to Stars Hollow and the people who live there — fictional or otherwise.
As a certified Gilmore Girls lifer (I schedule my annual fall rewatch somewhere between buying Halloween candy and aggressively eyeing decorative gourds), this book was like coming home. Eckart doesn’t just write about the show — she writes from inside the experience of loving it. She gets it. She’s one of us. When she says, “Like millions of other Gilmore addicts, I consider myself an honorary Gilmore girl,” I nodded so hard I almost spilled my coffee. (Almost. Let’s not be dramatic.)
The illustrations? Oh, honey. They are charming in that perfectly cozy, Stars Hollow way. The kind of drawings that make you want to move into a small Connecticut town and open a bookstore-slash-bakery just so you can host Friday night movie marathons and town meetings where Taylor inevitably loses his mind over a permit.
But the real magic of Meet Me At Luke’s is how it taps into the shared emotional GPS of Gilmore fans everywhere. It doesn’t just remind us why we love the show — it makes us feel it all over again. It’s like reading a scrapbook filled with inside jokes, town gossip, and enough pop culture references to make Lorelai proud.
So if you’re a Gilmore girl, guy, grandma, or general enthusiast, grab your comfiest sweater, pour yourself an offensively large mug of coffee, and dive in. And yes, as I finish writing this, I’m already cueing up Episode 1 — again — because, as any true fan knows, it’s always time to go back to Stars Hollow.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the advanced reader copy!

I absolutely loved Gilmore Girls when I was a teen, it's been a while since I've watched it, but this definitely makes me want to do a re-watch, or at least watch the major episodes that are listed out. It was for sure a trip down memory lane reading the timeline of the life lessons episode list and then diving into them.
The illustrations are absolutely lovely. And I loved how there were books and movies listed that were mentioned in the show, I know in the past I personally bought books and DVDs directly because Rory had mentioned them, and it was nice getting to see all of them listed in one spot.
I love how Kirk's Babette ate oatmeal shirt was included! I actually have one from well over 10 years ago, and still wear it on occasion!
There is obviously a lot of work put into this book.

☕️I would like to extend an enormous thank you to the author, Kristine Eckart, Andrew McMeel Publishing, and NetGalley for the privilege of being able to check out a digital copy of Meet Me at Luke's! I will share my review to Goodreads, Amazon, and Barnes & Noble upon release, as well as share my review to Bookstagram ✨
☕️As a lifelong Gilmore Girls fan, and having watched the show several times over, this book captured much of the magic and charm of the show. It's easy to tell that the author is a book lover and also has a deep appreciation and love for Gilmore Girls and its characters. The illustrations are so so cute, and would make amazing art. Even the drawings of the characters seemed to capture their personalities perfectly. I laughed out loud at the picture with Kirk in the window peering down at the others - it was perfect! As the characters are really the heart of the show, it's important that the book would be able to express that. I think Meet Me at Luke's definitely does! The map of Stars Hollow is amazing and I'd love a print! This book is a perfect gift for any superfan. It has several essays about the show that felt really relatable and let me stroll down memory lane.
☕️Oy, with the poodles already! Copper boom! And may you always be a vicious trollop!
5/5 stars!
