This was a pretty cute read with a fun, engaging plot. I finished it in just a few hours and really enjoyed it. I'll definitely check out more by the author!

This is my first Claire Wilder book and this was a really sweet, easy read. I’m not going to lie, at first, I was a little worried that Hopper was just going to be a massive asshole and I was going to be wondering why independent, badass Chris had any interest in him, but their connection felt so fun and natural and was such a pleasure to read. I really felt like the connection between the two developed so organically and I loved the back story about how much they felt for each other before ever even knowing each other. Them both being there for one another working through their respective trauma was really sweet and I always just LOVE a no third act breakup. I’m really looking forward to going back and reading the first two books in this series to read more about the side characters. Thank you so much for the ARC!

4.5🌟 for me!
Thank you Netgalley for this wonderful ARC. This truly has beautiful, kicking your feet, grinning from ear to ear, moments! I knew within the first chapter that I was going to love this book and I did. I really enjoyed the history and grit of both main characters, I love it when a FMC is strong and has respect for herself. Hopper was the perfect grumpy sunshine with a lump of trauma. The found family is beautiful and I’m on my way to download the other books in this series! #overandout #Netgalley

I read this book in one sitting, on a seven hour drive to Maine. It was absolutely perfect: entertaining, sweet, and lovely. The kind of romance I aspire to—for some reason, the MMC is Miles Teller in my mind. They have similar actor personalities imo. Then the FMC is a tomgirl turned dopamine dresser, and it’s just such a fun coupling that I adored imagining their story unfold.

There is complexity, as with any strong romance. I highly recommend this, not as a beach read, but definitely as a travel book.

Warning: this book is so hard to put down, it may cost you a night of sleep.

Thank you NetGalley for an ARC. I also read the last book in this series through the platform which led me to fall in love with this author’s writing. I’m very happy it wasn’t a one-off, and that I can add a new fave to my reading roster.

Claire has a way of making me just not care about the world for a while and simply want to read for a whole while and then some until i finish.
and like the other two books under this series i fell for every part of the story. it held my heart up, it threatened my emotions both up and down, and made me fall for all the little moments. the type of book you want to under line parts of fold the corners over so you can keep those moments or lines forever. i admit i screen-shot a few. and one you want to whizz through to soak it all up but also one you want to slow down so it never leaves you. oh dear. i did indeed fall for this book. every last moment of it.
each time Claire has shared one of these stories with us i think it will be my fave. and it then she gives us this. this! and im now just calling it that all three have now been perfection and all three can now be my favourite. but what am i going to do if there is another to this series. i guess i'll have to be ready to swoon all over again.
