I realyl enjoy the topics Ian Frazier chooses to write about. The oldest essays seemed a a little dated, but for the most part, this was a really enjoyable set of essays.

An incredibly varied selection of writings, it was fun and enjoyable I particularly enjoyed the essays called Can We Talk? About language death and their continued existence in NYC and What Ever Happened To Russia? A kind of history retrospective.

I'm not entirely sure what I expected from this book, and i don't know if it met those expectations, but I found the writing style to be really interesting, and overall the book to be engaging. The main thing I struggled with while reading was the disjointed nature of the structure of this book, though that could just be that this is an advanced copy and the final structure and layout of the different essays could be different. 3.5/5 Thanks to the author, netgalley, and the publisher for this ARC!
